  1. I don't think most of us expect the game to not have some bugs or problems, but we are months after release, now, and they are hyping patches for stuff that should have been in during the mid stages of beta. Acting like this is just like any other game that gets launched by any other company is ridiculous. This game was in development for over 5 years, and was still not ready in December. This has nothing to do with 56K modems. This is 2012, and BW has not bothered to even take advantage of the technology from the last 4 years. BW has not fixed the major issues, that were named above. At this point, I honestly think they just have no idea what to do. As stated above, the voice-overs and cut scenes are nice, but they are not practical, for adding lots of new content in a timely and efficient manner. We went over this in beta, and the fanbois defended it. Adding companions quests is pathetic, as you have to grind missions to work up each companion's affection to trigger the missions. The big guild summit should have been used to get some realistic feedback on things that can help save this game. Clearly, what has been tried has not worked. I did not mean to target you, specifically, but I am tired of people making excuses for this train wreck. It was voices such as yours, in beta, that in my opinion caused most of this, by acting like everything was ok.
  2. Thank you, for the update!!!
  3. Exactly. This entire summit has been communicated poorly, and they are now compounding it.
  4. So they are going to post the info that we would need to join on Twitter, but not on our forums?
  5. We were told that guild leaders that were not going to be in Austin would be able to to be a part of the summit, online. Well, it's Friday and we still do not have info on how we are supposed to do this. Can someone (George, perhaps) please give the info?
  6. Agreed. This is an issue that will need to be addressed, if this is ever done again. Giving us just a month's notice was bad enough. To drop that to a couple of weeks is not only poor planning on their part, but inconsiderate. Since this is not a free-to-play game, my assumption is that most of us are either employed, or have other responsibilities that cannot just be dropped at a moments notice. Also, airline tickets are significantly more expensive, if you wait until the week or so, before you intend to go.
  7. So, how do I as a guild leader become a part of this select group? Prior to yesterday, I had not heard about this summit, at all.
  8. Really? You think the bugs that people are complaining about are just not an issue, and that is why the Devs aren't doing anything about it? People complaining about bugs are "deadset on wrecking the game for others"?? Where have you been, friend?
  9. Some of us are already professional musicians, and are insulted by the insinuation that the new kid on the block thinks that we need a trainer instrument. Just because the new kid (people insinuating we need the trainer instrument first) and mom (BioWare) cannot play a single note, nor understand how to read music, does not mean we don't actually need the better guitar. It is possible that neither mom nor the new kids actually have enough knowledge to have a meaningful opinion (not you, personally, of course, but those who whine against solving the problem instead of taking baby steps).
  10. I agree on all points. Signing in as our character would be a very good feature for them to add, I had not considered that, but I like it. As far as the VO stuff, that is also going to make adding content somewhat more time-intensive, but that is for another thread. LOL.
  11. Again, I think you are just trying to be argumentative. If that is not the case, then you clearly choose not to understand how things work. It may be helpful to remember, that even if we have a forum for every server, YOU don't have to use them. You can stay out in the general boards, where you are happy. I'm sure they will need you, since they will be soooo deserted.
  12. It is justifications like this, that help lead BioWare to not understanding. Why continually take small steps when the larger step would be no more expensive, and more efficient? If you don't want to post on an individual server forum, or be a part of a server community, then don't. That doesn't mean that others should not have the option. How does it make sense to start with groups, when the stated purpose by BioWare is to discuss "grouping, trading, and events" when you are having to wade through those that you can do none of this with? It's time all of the BioWare apologists stop blocking the growth and progress of this game, by claiming that evrything is great the way it is! You, sir, do a disservice to this community (whether you choose to be a part of it, or not).
  13. They may hear us, but they DON'T listen!! In vBulletin, it will likely take more time and more effort to do these server groupings alphabetically, and by server type, than it would to just make forums for each server. This is clearly a case of taking a half-step that almost means nothing. Instead of having to wade through millions of posts, we only have to wade through hundreds of thousands. This has been the problem with this game through most of the development stages. BioWare took half-steps, and decided we would just accept it, because it was Star Wars. This issue is just like many of the in-game issues (they give us a tool so they can import guilds into game, but them give guilds nothing but a chat channel...that doesn't even work for everyone!!). We need individual server forums.
  14. On mine, it shows 1:29AM EST, so keep playing with your settings.
  15. I hate to sound like a nay-sayer, but wouldn't it have been just as easy to make individual server forums? Yes, this helps some, but not very much. Why not just give us the server forums, so that we can communicate with our communities. It doesn't help much to talk about "hosting events and grouping up" with people on other servers. That is what the General Discussion boards are for.
  16. I agree that exploiters are an issue, and need to be dealt with. The fact is, THIS is not what is hurting the economy of the game. There are too many cash sinks. That is the fault of BW. This also encourages the credit farmers to target this game. I too believe that exploiting the credits is wrong, but it's not going to kill this game. What will kill this game is not addressing actual gameplay issues, and having CS address people with problems in a timely, efficient, and correct manner. A small percentage of players spread out across multiple servers with billions of credits is not game-threatening. Sorry, it's just not.
  17. The way I understand it is that your account can only have 1 authenticator tied to it, at a time. Because you opted for the iPhone, first that is the one tied to your account. The other one is likely ok, just not the correct one for your account, now.
  18. Another major issue that BioWare apparently never took into consideration is that when they placed guilds on specific servers, there would be people creating toons on that server, to join their guilds.
  19. I too think that server forums would be good.
  20. Darvus & The Minions of Darkness are here. From Intrepid, and then Starsider.
