  1. Exactly. They have fundamentally changed the game, with this update. I even had hot keys on my UI that were moved across the screen. Why?? What was that all about? These look like the toons that we have been using, but they are not the same.
  2. Or, maybe we need to start complaining loudly on the Disney forums, and draw attention from that end. DIsney and StarWars.com may be two places to actually get a response, since the Dev Team does not want to respond here. Our Producer should have already addressed the community. Forcing "New Game Enhancements" down our throats and then just being silent, did not work the last time, why should it work now?
  3. Sub prices should not have risen. From the day that this game launched, the Dev Team has been mostly unresponsive to what the players have requested. They fail to respond to helpful feedback from PTS, and then throw out unfinished products and expect us to just be happy with it. Personally, I think that EA has plenty of cash to fix things, if they wanted to. How do you propose we "just keep them honest"? People told them what the problems were with this update, they delayed it (not sure why, at this point) and then released the same trash, that was a problem, anyway. In an attempt to "just keep them honest," we come to the forums, to voice our displeasure, as well as detail issues (that they were already made aware of), and YOU suggest raising sub prices, to reward them for bad behavior. WAY TO KEEP THEM HONEST! Also, the F2P people don't even get to voice their issues, on the forums. Oh...and let's remember, that it was the Dev Team (not this one, their predecessors) that tricked management into going with a F2P model. After mass cancelations in the first quarter after launch, they tried to act like everyone quit because they didn't want to pay subs. They even tried to use the poorly worded Cancelation Polls to prove the point. The issue then, just as it is now, was NOT people saying that they did not want to pay subs for a game; it was people saying they were not willing to pay subs for THIS game in the horrible shape that it was in. I say at this point, they should be dropping the subscription amount to try to keep people!
  4. I feel like this sums up the way that many of us feel. My guild returned last year, after being gone for several years. Our hopes were that things had changed, and The Devs were more responsive to the playerbase. I find it hard to believe that after this many years, no one at BioWare understands that this could not be taken well. The bugs that went live, alone, are enough to cause outrage. It literally looks like they have decided to sabotage the game, to get people to leave. Maybe they can get out of a contract if subs drop to a certain level. It was my hope that we could use this expansion to draw back even more guild members to give the game another try. Now, I wonder if we will be able to keep the ones that returned. And as usual, The Dev Team appears unwilling to address the negative feedback. So sad...
  5. This all goes back to when this game was in Beta, originally. We would tell them what was wrong, and then, if you said anything other than praise, you were threatened with being kicked out of Beta. The fact that people told them what the problems were, and they ignored them, is not new. This has all the feeling of SOE doing the NGE in Star Wars Galaxies, all over again. The real question is what was the reason for the delay?
  6. My guild recently returned after being away for a few years. We started when the game launched Beta. One of the issues that led to the first huge loss of players was The Dev Team not listening to people in the beta, that were telling them things that were not fun, or working as intended. I had hoped that this Dev Team listened to the community a little better. Rendering people's achievements meaningless, and simplifying by forcing people into very distinct content that was not their choice, led to the failure of the last Star Wars MMO. .Many of these changes sound problematic at best. Forcing people into content that they do not want, or penalizing them (by not allowing them to gear fully) could be disastrous. Maybe some additional time to get some community input, and re-consideration would be best.
  7. When this game was still in beta, I and many others continuously warned that this cut-scene/story-reliant style would make it almost impossible to do large content updates in a relatively short or efficient time frame. Many members of the community screamed to high hell that we were wrong, and we should just wait and see, because "this is just beta." This game's entire setup is a design that does not allow them to just attach a quest to an NPC. You have to do cutscenes for each class/race/sex. That said, it's not likely that this will change anytime soon. This is also why it is somewhat different to add new classes/races for us to play through. Contrary to what we were told, this game was never designed to be an MMORPG.
  8. This is what I mean. The REAL issue is they have been half-assing stuff from the start with this game! Considering the money spent on development, and the years spent, this game should have been polished. To keep saying, "I would rather they leave the broke stuff in so we can use it," rather than hold it until it works, or taking it out to fix it is just ridiculous. This is not about people complaining about the scale of feet, this is about them giving the least that they can and some people acting like it's a miracle. Hold the dyes until you can give us a decent system.
  9. LOL. Why, indeed. This was yet another example of poor planning by this team. And all the people going "at least they are giving us something..." are the same ones that have been making excuses for shortcomings, from the start. Something is NOT always better than nothing.
  10. I feel this is a feature that should be added in-game for in-game currency, like many other MMOs do it. $25.00 is somewhat ridiculous, in my opinion.
  11. These videos went a long way at increasing interest in this game.
  12. If you have another phone ( a land line) call the friend and have them give you the security key, if you can't wait. On the bright side, it sounds like you had a good time!!!!
  13. Agreed. There are lots of good guilds out there (a few not-so-good ones too). In addition to the things listed above, I would suggest grouping with people, to get an idea of what type of people they are. This may help you determine whether you are a good fit or not.
  14. I like most of these ideas. Guilds could certainly use some love in this game.
  15. I don't think the issue is that they announce things in advance. I think the real issue is that we have been tricked and lied to so many times, that it comes across as bait & switch. If they say they are going to do something, then they should deliver. I find it hard to stomach the excuse that something "costs money" or is "too expensive" when you look at the amount that was spent on this game, the time it had in development., and it has the major issues that it has. IF they needed to charge for Makeb, that is one thing, but this is on the heels of leaving lots of bugs un-fixed, and the game looking like a beta, in some aspects. When you add that with the lack of actual communication from this Dev Team, and the ridiculousness that is their customer service, it paints a bad picture.
  16. I too have been a subscriber since Day 1 and I believe the game is too restrictive for F2P. I do not intend to go F2P, so don't bother using that excuse/accusation. The whole point is supposed to get more people playing, and to get them to want to spend money on the game. BioWare has failed at this, more than they failed at initial development of this game as an MMO. If they want to make money, offer things in the micro-store that people will actually want to buy. Offer things that will continue to sell, not just lottery packs. Recoloring items already in game and offering them at "unfortunate" prices is no way to maximize the store. Offer extra character slots, name changes (Legacy & primary), and server transfers. All of these have relatively low Development cost and are things that people have asked for. With the game being as restrictive as it is, they are trying to force people into getting subs. This will not work, long-term. People quit because they felt the game was not worth their money. Offer gameplay that makes people want to pay the sub for it, and offer things in the micro store that will make you even more a month than the subs. The point of this F2P was supposed to be to save the game and get more people to play, by reaching out to new players, and enticing older, former players to return.
  17. I would love to see this, as well. It would really make things easier. I also would like to see it hold credits, as well as items.
  18. And all of these things were why they were told repeatedly in beta that the system they had developed would make it very difficult to add lots of content and additions in a timely and efficient manner.
  19. I'm glad that you were happy with it. I truly hope that this is a sign that someone is starting to notice that there are players/subscribers and they should listen to us, sometimes.
  20. I really want to thank you for saying this!!! I don't think that they can wrap their heads around this!!
  21. Perhaps it would benefit you to just stay out of general chat. If you have that many people on a server for that long having a sustained grudge against you in general chat, then maybe you are doing something wrong. Just stay out of general chat. Oh...and before you tell me how you "shouldn't have to avoid general chat" let's remember that your stated solution is to quit the game completely. Why not just quit the action that causes the harassment, or the one that reveals it.?
