  1. Clicking the actual icon for the mount in the vehicles list will "activate" that mount, not favorite it. (Unless you're somewhere you can't use a mount, or already on a mount, in which case you'll get an error message to that effect). Clicking the name of the mount in the list will also "activate" that mount. To "favorite" a mount, you need to click on the checkbox next to the mount icon. Lilkewise, to "unfavorite" a mount, you need to click on the checkbox to clear it.
  2. The streaming launcher restricts you to playing on the starter planets if you hit play to get in the game while it is still patching. So if you want to play any characters that have progressed beyond that point, you need to wait for it to completely finish patching before you hit play. But either way, it shouldn't be "downloading the whole game again", just a patch.
  3. Don't alt-tab away from the game while waiting for it to load.
  4. Any character that can wield a double-bladed lightsaber can also wield a single-bladed one. Double-checked this (excuse the pun) just now on a Sith Assassin, and while the Abilities list only shows Double-Bladed Lightsaber and Electrostaff for Weapon Proficiencies under Assassin, under Sith Inquisitor it shows Lightsaber, Training Saber and Vibrosword. Back in the old days, all saber-wielding classes started with a single "training" saber, and you had to play through the starter planet story to get your first "real" lightsaber, and then continue on till you were at least level 10, and travel to Fleet and talk to your AC Trainer before choosing your Advanced Class and gaining the ability to dual wield or use a double-bladed saber. Now that you choose your Advanced Class at character creation, you get dual-wield or double-bladed saber ability, plus the gear pack with the appropriate "new" lightsaber, at level 1. Which makes for a rather significant disconnect when you get near the end of the starter planet story and build your first "real" lightsaber. Another possibliity for the OP though: are you trying to use an off-hand-only saber with a character that does not have dual-wield ability? Or are you trying to equip an off-hand-only saber without having a weapon equipped in your main hand?
  5. It's "Activate Random Mount" not "Summon". (There is a similar Legacy ability for Pets, which is called "Summon Random Pet"). Note that the Rocket Boost ability often* will be automagically "favorited" for you in the Vehicles list (if you've purchased it). And if it is, you can't manually "unfavorite" it. (The checkbox will be filled, but also greyed out). The only way to "unfavorite" it is to click the "Favorite None" button at the top of the list. After you do that, Rocket Boost will be permanently "unfavorited". You cannot click on the box to "favorite" it, and the "Favorite All" button will check every other mount in the list, but will ignore Rocket Boost. *I'm not sure exactly what causes this to be the case. I just know that it happens from time to time.
  6. Z0-0M is the droid companion you get for completing the "Shroud of Memory" bonus mission. Originally, the mission was only available to players who were continuously subscribed for several months back in 2016. Now you can buy the mission on the CM, for 3800CC. Either way, you need to complete Chapter IX of KotFE, plus the Alliance Alerts "To Find a Findsman" and "Arma Rasa", before you can do "Shroud of Memory". As mentioned above, you can open your companions tab (N) to see if you have Z0-0M. The droid will be listed in the "main characters" group.
  7. If you don't have the option to create a "boosted" character on your character select screen, you could spend 2000 Cartel Coins and buy a Commander's Character Token from the Cartel Market. Use that, and you will be able to create one "boosted" character, with the option of starting at level 70 so you can jump straight in to the Onslaught story. If you only recently subscribed, you won't have that many "free" coins, so your only option to get that many coins without waiting for months for the "free" ones to pile up, would be to buy them from the "store" here. You also might be able to buy the token for credits, off the GTN, but as I'm typing this, the cheapest ones available on the Satele Shan server are priced at about 72 million credits. So probably not an option for a new or recent subscriber. Of course, the prices likely will be different on other servers, and may go up (or down) in the next hour, day, week, ...
  8. Hit G to open your Guild Window, then select the General tab. Under the name of the guild, is the guild level and guild xp bar. Below that, you will see three icons, for Reputation Bonus, XP bonus, and RXP Bonus, with the numbers beside each showing how much of a bonus you get for each of them.
  9. The PVP area on Ilum (the "Contested Area" in the middle of the Western Ice Shelf, aka The Circle), like the Outlaw's Den on Tatooine, doesn't flag you for PVP anymore, and hasn't for years (since Patch 4.3, in April 2016). It just gives that big, red, message saying, "Your companion has been dismissed due to entering companion free region". If you don't have a companion with you (like if you're on a speeder, instead of on foot), you'll still see a big, red, "Small Group Free For All (PVP)" message on your screen when you enter the area. But it doesn't actually flag you for PVP. To actually do PVP on Ilum (or anywhere else), you need to click the little down-arrow next to "PVE" at the bottom of your minimap, and click on "Toggle PVP focus" to switch it from PVE to PVP*. And then you will switch to the PVP instance of whatever planet you're on, and you will actually be able to participate in open world PVP action, including those event-specific PVP missions on Ilum. *Or you can open your World map, and use the list of instances at the lower right to switch to the PVP instance of the planet.
  10. Google Translate version: Hey, I'm new and wanted to ask if it's possible the armor from the antitank armor packages has a high value to fight with, as all my sets have a value of 8 and few armor points. Wanted to know if it is possible to make this armor better? Answer: The armor sets you buy from the Cartel Market only have Rating 8 because they are just empty "shells". You can make them better by adding modifications (Armoring, Mod, Enhancement) to them. You can occasionally get these as loot, or as mission rewards. You can also go to Fleet and buy them from whichever Modification Vendor sells ones appropriate for your level. Lastly, you can pull the modifications from gear you already have, and put them into your Cartel Market gear. But a better option than any of those, IMO, is to simply "stamp" the Cartel gear into an "outfit" and make that outfit appearance "Active". You will still get all the bonuses from the gear in your "Equipped" tab, while having the appearance of the gear in your "outfit" tab. And if you unlock more outfit tabs, you can "stamp" different gear stes into those, and change your appearance between them just by clicking the "activate" button for whatever outfit you feel like wearing.
  11. Getting your personal starship is gated by story progress, not level, so if you're starting at level 1, you do need to complete your class story on your starter planet, and also complete it on your faction's capital planet to get your ship. If you use one of the "shortcuts" to either start a new character at level 60 or 70 (Commander's Character Token), or boost an existing character to 70 (Master's Datacron and Equipment), those will also grant you your ship.
  12. Higher Influence also increases the chance of a "critical" success from crew skill missions & crafting. Companions get +0.5% crit chance for every Influence Rank, up +25% at Influence Rank 50.
  13. Is this really an intended change? Even for folks at max reputation with whatever faction? It's not mentioned in any of the patch notes. Like you, I'm not keen about the tokens getting "used" when I'm at max rep, though I have more than one faction not maxed yet. And for factions where I'm not at max rep, I prefer to be able to choose for myself which tokens I want to use, and which to sell, not to mention I'm muchly displeased that this change makes it impossible to save up "extra" tokens to use after you max your weekly reputation gain. This is particularly annoying for things like rakghoul or Gree or Bounty events, where you can only acquire the tokens during the one week the event is "live". I did manage to get one ("green") rep token to go into my inventory without being used, when I picked it up as a loot drop doing a Voss Heroic, instead of getting it as a Mission Reward. Oddly enough, I actually couldn't use that one. I got an error message saying I was already at max reputation when I right-clicked it.
  14. The "Class Story" is just 1 - 50, not 1 - 60. Rise of the Hutt Cartel, the Makeb story, which has almost no class-based differences and not many more faction-based ones, was the original 50 - 55 story. Shadow of Revan is the 55 - 60 story, though like Makeb, it's basically the same story for every class and both factions. But it does have some class-specific little side missions at one point. With the changes to the xp curve for leveling, and increased xp gains for story missions, it's quite easy to get well beyond level 60 (or now, even beyond 70) before finishing the Class Story, without doing much other than the story, especially if you "boost" your xp gains with items or unlocks: From time to time you will get +25% xp boost items as mission rewards as you go through the Class Story.* You can get up to +15% xp if you are in a guild with a high enough guild level. "Rested" xp will give you double xp for kills.** The xp bonus armor can give you up to +50% xp if you equip the full set. (AFAIK, the xp armor is only available to players who completed a specific "level" of the DvL event a few years back). You can unlock (per character) boosts in your Legacy window for up to +30% xp for various "types" of xp (Class Missions, exploration, warzones, space missions, etc.), if you do that stuff. There are also boost items for pretty much all of the special "types" of xp boosts you can unlock through your Legacy, though you can only have a boost from one item active at any one time.*** And let's not forget the double xp events that happen from time to time.**** Combine enough of these, and it's easy to hit the level cap long before you finish the original 1 - 50 Class Story. Or, as mentioned, you can start a "boosted" character to start at level 60 or 70 (no start at 65 option anymore) and skip directly to KotFE (60) or Onslaught (70) with all the prior "story" content auto-completed for you. This will lock you out of "romance" options with your companions, and choose which companions you "save" at certain story points. And it will keep you from completing class story achievements, and lock you out of getting certain story-related titles for your character, any of which may or may not matter to you. *In the past, I have leveled up fast enough that most of my characters hit max level before they stop getting these "complimentary" xp boost items as mission rewards. But I saved them, and now I can level my 70's up to 75, and get back on the Galactic Command, er, Reknown, treadmill even faster. **If you're wanting to level up as quickly as possible, "rested" xp probably won't be a major factor, since it requires you to log off your character, preferably in a "rest area", for days or weeks at a time, to build up a significant amount. ***These are fairly common drops from Cartel Crates, or you can buy them on the GTN, or directly from the Cartel Market (though I think that last, especially, would be a waste of money). ****As with "rested" xp, if your goal is to level up your character as quickly as possible, you probably don't want to wait around for weeks or months for a double xp event to come around.
  15. There are lots more places than just Fleet and Nar Shaddaa to find a GTN kiosk. As the spalsh screen hint mentions from time to time, they are in the main population center on nearly every planet. Rather than buying them on the GTN, you can get a GTN Terminal or Kiosk for your stronghold by crafting Universal Prefabs, and using those to buy the decos from the Utility Decoration Vendor on Fleet. They cost 3 Universal Prefabs per deco, Mk 2's for the wall unit, and MK-3's for the free-standing one. (Plus there are achievements and, currently, Conquest points for making the Prefabs). And it's worth checking the price on Universal Prefabs while you're at it. Right now, there are a handful of Kiosks on the SS GTN, priced from 1.44M to 1.5M. But a Universal Prefab MK-3 will run you from 170k to 220k. IOW, you can buy enough Prefabs to get a Kiosk from the vendor for less than half the cost of buying the kiosk itself off the GTN. (Can't make a similar comparison for the terminals, because there are no terminals currently listed, but there are several pages of MK-2 Prefabs which are, oddly enough more expensive than the Mk-3's - at the low end price of 190k, but they max out at 199k). Of course, those price ranges and availabilities may change at any time, and will probably be different on other servers. You'll have to decide for yourself if the cost of acquiring the necessary mats and Crew Skill levels to make Prefabs is better than the cost of acquiring the credits to buy prefabs or buying the terminals or kiosks outright. Another option is the Legacy unlock to get a GTN Terminal in your personal starship. At 900 Cartel Coins, or 5M credits (if your Legacy is at least level 25) it's rather more expensive than the stronghold decorations. But it does apply to all characters in your Legacy (all current characters, plus any you make in the future - in that Legacy). So if you have a lot of characters, it could be worth it, in the long run.
  16. Not a bug. Originally, Diplomacy missions all gave either Dark or Light points. Since the Dark vs Light business came in, all missions that gave Light points still give Light points, and missions that gave Dark points still give Dark points. But all of them gained additional points, either Dark or Light, based on your selection for the DvL toggle. The main problem is that the Dark/Light icon next to the mission title only reflects what you have selected with the DvL toggle, and not the underlying points for it being a "Light Mission" or "Dark Mission". (This has been an issue that folks have complainded about, to no avail, since DvL first came in, years ago). If you mouse over the icon, it will show you whether the mission grants only Light (or only Dark, depending on your setting for DvL) or both Light and Dark points. If you want to only get Light (or Dark) points from your Diplomacy missions, stick to sending your companions on the missions that show only those points, and avoid the ones that give both.
  17. Make sure you have adequate ventilation. I've seen posts from people who wondered why their laptop was overheating, and it turned out they were playing on their bed, and the thing was sinking into the blankets, so all the air vents were blocked. At the very least, always put it on a hard surface. Maybe put it on a laptop tray or cooler to provide additional airflow. (I use a simple tray for my laptop; my son actually bought a thing with extra fans in it for his). Also, laptop vents are, in my experience, notorious for sucking in all kinds of dust, cat hair, and ... stuff. So maybe clean it out. Depending on how comfortable you are with it, you could actually open the thing up and clean all the crud out of it. Or just unbend a paper clip or use a tweezers to see if you can maybe pull some of the mess out with that.
  18. As mentioned above, not all Flashpoints have a "Solo" mode. Hammer Station is one of the "no solo mode" ones. Objective Meridian is the new Corellia FP, and as such it would be well past the end of that timeline graphic (which ends before KotFE/ET, and lacks those, plus everything else after Ziost). So story-wise, it's pretty much the last thing you will want to do.
  19. Hmm, I totally forgot about that particular split. I've only bothered to play through JUS on one character so far (a Scoundrel, FWIW), and chose "Loyalist". I suppose now I could run one of my Gunslingers through, and become a Loyalist Saboteur, or a Saboteur Saboteur. Unfortunatley, it's not clear (to me, anyway) which sort of "saboteur" the OP wants to change from. But I suppose since any class can get that sabotuer vs loyalist choice in JUS, it's more likely that's what they were asking about.
  20. Saboteur is a Discipline of Gunslinger. So if your character is a Gunslinger, you change to it the same way you change to any other spec, you respec. IOW, you go to the Skill Mentor NPC, which for Republic characters you can find either in the Combat Training area of Fleet, or under the Senate Plaza on Coruscant. But if your character isn't a Gunslinger, then your only option is to make a new character, and choose Gunslinger (one of the two Advanced Class options for Smuggler) and then choose Saboteur from the Discipline page (K) once you get into the game.
  21. Or you can dress a female companion in the Slave Girl outfit from the social vendor on Tatooine, if you have Social Rank 2.
  22. Datacrons have been Legacy-wide unlocks since patch 4.0, four years ago. So except for the ones that give shards, once any character in your Legacy uses a datacron, none of your other characters can use that datacron. On the plus side, that means that once you get the [insert annoyingly tedious to acquire datacron here] on one character, you don't have to ever do it again on any others. Deleting the characer that got it won't remove the datacron from being "completed" for your Legacy, either.
  23. When you buy anything from the Cartel Market, it will be bound to your character for 36 hours after you "claim" it. After that timer runs out, you will be able to sell it. If the item is a "box", any item you remove from the "box" will be bound to your character for 36 hours after you remove it from the box. As with the "box" itself, once that timer runs out, you will be able to sell the item. If you're buying the "box" to sell the item(s) inside, just pull the items immediately and start the timers on them, and save yourself a day and a half waiting for the timer on the "box" to run out.
  24. You get the "special" Heroic Moment abilities (Legacy Dirty Kick, Legacy Project, etc.) for completing Chapter 3 of the Class Story for whatever "base" class (Smuggler and Jedi Consular, respectively, for the two abilities mentioned). If you have not done that for any class, you will not have the temporary ability bar when you activate Heroic Moment. There is no Legacy level (or Character level) requirement for this. It's strictly for completing chapter 3 of the Class stories. But as mentioned, you will still get the periocic heals from using the ability (and you will see the Heroic Moment icon in your buff bar, until it runs out). The "base" Heroic Moment duration is one minute. You can increase it to 2 minutes (and reduce the ability's cooldown from 10 minutes to 5 minutes) by completing all conversations/missions for one companion of each of the five companion "roles": Melee Damage, Ranged Damage, Melee Tank, Ranged Tank, and Healer.
