  1. By the time you are level 25 and have a speeder, you have travelled through quite a few large worlds during which having a Speeder would have been very beneficial and made life a lot less tedious. But you have to wait until level 25 to get one. I suggest we get one a lot sooner at maybe level 10. I can't see any real reason we have to wait that much longer, especially when it just means dragging out the painful task of walking/running accross large areas of a planet. It couldn't unblance anything or damage the gameplay. But once you get to level 25 and finally get a Speeder... its a bit of an anti-climix. The vision of a Speeder from Star Wars is of speed.... and that just is not reflected in these Mounts. They may be 90%,100% and 110% faster but they honestly don't feel like they are moving any faster then a casual run. Speeders are meant to be fast, very FAST. Perhaps make the speeders progress from 100% to 150% to 200% or faster? Just to give that real sense of speed... hence the name!
  2. I realise i'm probably the 1000 person to make a post like this. But when are they going to seriously improve the download speeds on all these regular patches? Im waiting on a 3mb patch update right now and its been about 3 days of sitting, staring at the computer screen and praying it actually downloads. "Network error while downloading patch data. Retrying..." I havent been able to play SWTOR to almost a week because everytime I get some free time, go to launch the game.... it just sits there failing to update/download ANOTHER tiny sized patch. Then it finally downloads that patch.... then another starts afterwards and your back to square one. I realise patchs are important and I have no issue there, but this is killing the ability to actually play the game. I'm paying a monthly fee for a game, which is actually stopping me playing the game! My internet connection is perfect and runs great... this is the ONLY piece of software which has this kind of issue on my system. I love this game otherwise.
  3. Before I start... I have no issue with the Datacron hunting, or jumping accross roof tops, or cliff faces trying to reach Datacrons. I love that style of gameplay. My issue is with those Datacrons which are in absolutely, non-challenge related - but frustrating - locations, or those which ask you to endure stupid time consuming aspects. Two examples on Tatooine... The Datacron located on the other side of an Imperial camp, which means the Republic have no choice but to move through the camp to get it. A camp filled with lvl50 npcs who will kill you on sight... and you can't stealth through. There is no challenge involved because the only option a republic player has is to de-robe, get naked and charge in accepting death. Die, wait a few seconds, respawn, die again, wait about a minute, respawn, wait about 5 minutes, die again and then wait about 10 minutes and finally respawn on the other side. The entire process is tedious and can take a LONG time to just move 10 feet. There is no challenge at all. Perhaps at level 50 (as im currently lvl 30) I could fight my way through. But Datacrons are designed (I believe) to be discovered as you level up, not as end game content. Allowing you to gain the experience of finding them. The second example is the wonderful balloon... ....*bangs head off desk* The balloon is easy enough to get into, and its easy enough to reach the destination and the two datacrons in princple. But thats assuming you don't miss jump and miss the top of the object which its on... and thats pretty easy to do. I wouldn't mind that so much, if it didn't mean having to ride back accross a large amount of desert, wait another 30 - 40 minutes for the balloon to come around again, and another 30 minutes for it to reach the destination. Again there is no challenge to it and you are wasting a MASSIVE chunk of time doing that non-challenging, yet very easy to mess-up activity. Like I say... I love the Datacron system... but if this is an example of what to expect on future worlds... its making me re-think whether they are worth finding.
  4. I personally rather they fixed little bugs like the Militia Training quest on Tat.. and made it possible to do. Id rather see smaller bug fixes to perfect the existing content, then worry about adding in massive things.
  5. Maybe people are simply choosing to create characters on standard population servers? I know I did... I dont want to be on a full population with massive waiting times to log in. But to be honest... this game has only been out officially a few weeks... give it time!
