  1. Don't presume to know my plans for my killik minions! They need more mounds if I'm to breed them in sufficient numbers to create my army! ;P
  2. Read up on and completed this achievement because I wanted some killik decorations for my cave in the Alderaan SH. Is the achievement repeatable or is there any way to get more of them beyond the initial 10 you get?
  3. Then you are an exception to the rule, and good for you. But for the majority of the player base that's simply not the case. A lot of groups, especially if you're pugging, will need heals. There's also the factor of not everybody you get is going to be a veteran player and know their class inside and out, or be item rating capped, or set bonuses, or have influence level 50 compantions, or know the fight mechanics. And their learning curve tends to cost the entire group. And as for moving quickly some people don't have the best internet which allows them to do so if they have the response time themselves. Conversely some people just don't have the response time. Open world content shouldn't require it to such a degree, either. Save for world bosses, arguably. These and other factors like what I listed earlier just give heroic 4's a negative stigma. A lot of people simply want nothing to do with them because of it and they need to be changed, simple as that.
  4. Exactly, and as I mentioned? For those who choose to get a group together for it? Up the difficulty but also the rewards you get.
  5. So these are not fun. At all. 90% of your time will be spent spamming general chat trying to find a tank and/or a healer for your group. The Pirate Incursion event just kicked off and I've already lost all motivation to take part in it because of the heroics. The same happens every time it's the Rakghoul event, or the Gree event, you just spam chat forever some days and God help you if you're trying to do these on multiple characters because you're farming up the event currencies to get gear, decorations, mounts, etc. Then there's the macrobinocular and seeker droid quest lines. Nobody ever does them because they're overcomplicated, annoying, and again, because a group of four people with a tank and a healer is mandatory for completion, nobody wants to do them. Any and all such content should be Heroic 2+, something that you can solo if you're well-geared and a skilled player, but is meant to be done with at least two people by design. And the more people you put into your group? The better rewards you can potentially earn. But don't FORCE people to do these this way because it's not fun. Not everybody has a large social circle of friends or a large guild of people to call on to do them. But more importantly, not everybody WANTS to do them like this. Particularly as I said, if you're doing it on multiple characters. EDIT: There's also the fact that for the events if you're not max level you're basically unable to take part in the heroics as you won't be able to pull your weight against the enemies you're fighting.
  6. Those are all great leaders of history to be sure but one, they're mostly generals not combat soldiers who left the actual fighting to their troops beneath them. Two? A lot of them come with baggage. The guys I listed for instance might have had their characters flaws (Chamberlain for example was extremely strict to the point of ridiculous at times, for example) but a lot of those guys listed by you are responsible for just straight up butchering people.
  7. Trying to come up with a name for a new vanguard trooper I want to play, been having a lot of trouble coming up with a name however. Being the history nut that I am, I wanted to draw inspiration from famous military commanders who were also rather upstanding citizens since I intend to have him be light side aligned. I only need a first name, he's going to be using my legacy name for the last name so that makes it only half a job. Here are the commanders along with a bit of history behind them. - Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain (started as a lt. colonel, rose to major general), a Union army commander of the 20th Maine Regiment who served during the American Civil War, earned the Congressional Medal of Honor during the Battle of Gettysburg by holding the line at Little Round Top. - Admiral Yi Sun-Sin, Korean naval commander during the Japanese invasions of Korea (1592-98) who was renowned for his honor, honesty, integrity, and military prowess. Was often having to fight the corrupt Korean government which he served in the political theater while defending Korea from the Japanese during the military one. Never lost a battle or even a single ship under his command. - Richard Winters (started as a lieutenant, retired a major) was the commander of Easy Company of the 101st Airborne Division of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment during WWII, a stalwart, level-headed commander who was loved and respected by the men who served under him. Most famous for his service at Bastogne during the Battle of the Bulge when the 101st Airborne was cut off and surrounded by the German army and refused to surrender, holding out until "rescued" by Patton. These are just a few of the people I was thinking of from history, I am of course welcome to suggestions of other military commanders to look to for inspiration and make anagrams of their names as well.
  8. Thank you very much now I know what I need to start working on.
  9. I'm looking for the "Jedi Memorial" decoration, it looks like a tall thin spire with a bronze pot on it and has two ribbons of golden light arching out to the ground from either side. It fits a medium or large floor hook. My collection lists it as from an achievement but it doesn't say which achievement, of course. Checking tordecorating.com yielded no results so I'm curious if anybody has or knows how this decorations is obtained because I'm interested in obtaining it.
  10. Hook count aside, there also seem to be missing hooks, like small floor hooks on some pedestals but not on others, flooring hooks missing where it seems like there should be one leaving awkwardly bare spots where it seems like a rug should go, things like that.
  11. I don't see the problem that you're having and space missions have bigger issues that need attention like flickering/lights textures and the engine glow of enemy fighters not working so that you can't see them coming at you until they're right on top of you. So long as you're getting your rewards, it doesn't matter which order you get them in.
  12. You're not wrong but during weekly events like the raks, Gree, or Dantooine there are heroic 4 quests which you need to do but they just arbitrarily require four people to complete. Downgrading them to a difficulty of heroic 2+ would do fine, then people could solo them or just group with friends/guildies instead of having to sit around forever spamming "lfg need heals" because it's ALWAYS the healer you can't find.
  13. Uh, no. No it wouldn't. 50,000 conquest points is not difficult to obtain, at all, without any heroic 4's being involved. The problem is that any open world content that is labelled as a heroic 4 automatically has the stigma around it of "more trouble than it's worth" and for good reason because it usually is. They need to be done away with, period. Encourage people to group in the open world with better rewards if you do so for heroic missions, but don't enforce it. There's plenty of other content that absolutely does require groups to complete in the form of pvp, operations, and flashpoints. Open world does not need to be part of it. I for one dread certain holiday events because of heroic 4's, trying to find a group is sometimes a nightmarish pain and it's not fun. And if it's not fun? It's hurting the game, not helping it.
  14. So I don't get why you made currencies so needlessly complicated. Make them like tech fragments. Just a pool shared by all characters. Anything you earn (bounty contracts, rak dna cans, etc.) all by default get put into the common pool. None of this having to go to the vendor, buy the items to mail to another character, just to have to again buy the currency to spend it on whatever that character needs.
  15. Just wondering if anybody who has been on the PTS for patch 6.1 can relay how much the new stronghold is going to cost in credits?
  16. People play games like this for their own reasons. Some people do enjoy the interactivity, some people don't. Some people need a group to help them with questing/dailies, others don't. Some people want to be with others, and others don't. Regardless of how you prefer to play, it's a valid playstyle and is totally fine even in an MMO. Remember not everybody plays for the same reasons. And some people even if they want to group with others may not be able to if their life outside of the game doesn't allow them to play during peak hours when finding a group is viable. If they can only play really late/early when there's only a handful of people on, that limits their options. Just look at the GSF community, once you get past midnight the queue times become considerably longer. Once it gets past a particular time like 1 or 2am you're not getting a group. Period. My question to you is why are you so resistant to this? People who want to group up with others will continue to do so. People who don't want to won't have to anymore. And if they make the rewards better for if you do heroics with other people versus on your own, I fail to see a problem. The people who are reward-driven will seek out other players in order to obtain the better rewards. The people who are content-driven get to see it without having other people be an obstacle.
  17. This event is in dire need of some updating. It's not fun. If you're hunting for just about anything from them it's a horrible grind to get the relics to buy their stuff, even if you do it on any and every character you might have that's high enough level to partake in the event? It's a nightmare. The heroic daily being the only one that rewards a single relic is just unbelievably stingy. (Not including Xeno since that's a once-a-week op and not a daily and not everybody wants to/will partake of it) Every daily should reward at least one relic, to make them worth doing, because right now if you're capped on rep the only one worth taking the time for is the heroic. And the heroic should award 2 or 3 relics imo. The Gree have a lot of simple decorations that you might need in bulk like light fixtures? So obtaining them in quantities to decorate a stronghold is annoyingly and unnecessarily hard. There will still be the high cost items like mounts, weapons, etc. which will take time to do but because of the decorations I feel there should be more relics rewarded from dailies. Because right now I look at the event and have a feeling of it being unrewarding for the amount of work that goes into it.
  18. They suck because there's a difference between encouragement and enforcement. Encouragement offers players more/better rewards for grouping with others, but grouping up isn't a mandatory thing. Some people don't enjoy working with others for open world questing. Flashpoints? Sure. PvP? Sure. Those aspects of the game would be dead without other people, obviously. But when you enforce group content needlessly and railroad people into playing a part of the game which for the other 99% of it they're doing so alone most of the time anyways? It's not just annoying, it's discouraging. As for what you said about the game nearly being killed by solo content? You're twisting the truth. The fact was that when the game initially launched, there was a lot of endgame content that was still in production and the devs underestimated how much time they'd have before people started capping their characters and completing storylines and would be looking to get into the endgame grind. That time is long since past. All I'm suggesting is that the mandatory "you must be grouped with a full group of four people including a healer and (sometimes) a tank" will take away from the game. Not everybody is in a guild that is active or that does the same sort of content all together, all the time. Not everybody WANTS to be in a guild, period. They might have friends, they might want to socialize with others in the form of just chatting people up? But some people prefer actual solo gameplay and that's totally fine, even in an MMO when it comes to open world content.
  19. You want to talk about too damn noisy and needing to be tuned down, try the ambient volume for the Coruscant apartment.
  20. Not the point. Point is that by design, they suck. And should just be done away with.
  21. These are an utter pain to find groups for. One need only look at the macrobinocular and seeker droid quests and how nobody ever bothers with those for proof. Events are even worse because there's the added pressure of getting everything done in time. All group quests should be Heroic 2's so that they're designed for at least two people, but more if you want, or you can solo them if you're really good at the game and don't feel like playing with others on a particular day. Sitting around spamming "LFG <heroic>" or "Need heals for <heroic>" is not fun.
  22. No I get the point of the visual tunings. It's just to me they look silly lol
  23. So I for one am not the biggest fan of the current weapon tunings, I don't see much point to them aside from the strap tuning making one's rifles look a bit more true to form. What I would like to see though, are audio weapon tunings that change how a weapon sounds when fired, rather than how it looks. There are so many weapons in this game that sound so goofy when you fire your blaster or swing your lightsaber. But if you have a favorite? Why not have the option to slot a tuning that will change how it sounds rather than adding a visual effect instead? Expanding on this idea, one could do the same for helmets that have voice filters. Love your helmet, but hate how it makes your character sound when they speak? Slot a tuning into that as well to change it to the way you want it.
  24. Yeah I know they still drop, was just hoping that maybe one area/group of mobs had a higher drop rate than others, because as far as I can tell it's completely random.
  25. I was thinking just click the mount and it just causes you to mount up as if you own it, but doesn't mean you "claim" it if you will and that you and only you can use it. Click the mount, mount up, but the decoration remains so that other people can click on it as well.
