1. My Commando is 49 and has just been sent to Belsavis. Obviously, he has not completed his class story, nor is he 50. What exactly is required to start daily quests on Belsavis? Do I have to complete my entire class quest and/or be 50, or do I just have to complete my class quest on Belsavis? I have heard that I have to complete the Belsavis bonus series...if this is true, what do I have to do to get the bonus series there, just complete my class quest there, or do I have to complete all non-Heroic quests on the planet ? I have not yet been sent to Ilum. Do I go to Ilum after Belsavis, and what do I have to do to begin the daily quests there? Lastly, what is required for me to start the new daily quest series on Corelia ? Thanks!!!
2. 200 MB....lol !!! First hard disk I ever used was attached to my Apple ][ development machine at work. It was an Apple Profile, it was external, about the size of two loaves of bread placed side-by-side and squashed down (it had 4 lil rubber feet!!). It held 5 - read it...FIVE - megabytes and cost $2000. We bought all we could get our hands on and were glad to get em. We started developing software for the IBM PC when it came out. The first ones had full-height single-density floppy drives that held 140 Kb each iirc. We continued to develop on the Apple ][s and cross-compiled for the PC platform. Boy, were we amazed a bit later when IBM released the PC XT...a hard disk that held a whole TEN MEGABYTES, and it's inside the system case....OMG!!! We tossed all our Apple ][s...the old Profiles became door stops, and the rest is history...
3. There are several two-way instant, no CD transporters on Belsavis, including one that will transport you from Meltwater Outpost in the SE corner of the world map to The Tomb at the very top. They are all unlocked by various quests....the last one if for the daily quest set. As you progress thru the Belsavis content, incl. regular quest content, bonus series, and dailys, all will be eventually unlocked.
4. Well, at least the PTS is up....lots of peeps over there.
5. The double CTRL-U didn't work, so I reset the quest, then started back at the beginning, the first place I found the weapons containers (the Patrol Team 3) spot. When I click on one of the weapon containers there, the exact same thing happens - Elara's voice telling me to continue on, as quoted in my OP. Also, clicking twice does no good. So I started over, and now am stuck at the beginning with the same problem....
6. Certainly doesn't look like it to me....
7. Someone *please* help me with this !!!!!
8. My fat Combat Medic with the orange mohawk is named "WarPig", after the elite Marine squad in StarCraft 2. My female Vanguard, which I made just because I love the voice, is named "Tink" just because I thought of it and liked it. She is already Dark IV at level 20 from running Diplo missions, so she is gonna be a real bizatch...
9. I posted this in the Trooper forum and got no help. I'm really stuck here and need some help!! ------------------------------------------- This is about the "Lost and Found" quest on Taris.... This is my 2nd Trooper, and I don't remember having trouble with this quest on the first one. I am supposed to "inspect the power converters". I find them, and they look like caskets, and the top is "glowy', indicating that I should click on it. I do so, and get the "Opening" bar on the screen....this process takes 3 sec. At the end, they do not open. I hear Elara's voice say "We need to return these men to base for medical treatment and debriefing. Proceed without us, Lieutenant." And that's it. The completed quest icon (gold triangle with green center) is still on the map, right where I am standing (out in the open, btw), and if I try to open another container, I get the same audio from Elara. Nothing changes, neither the quest icon on the map or the prompt under the quest on the left. I reset the quest, and the gold triangle with green center on the map changes to the (.) that rotates, and the tops are no longer glowy. I run out of the area and then back to the crates again, and it changes back to the triangle with green center and the tops are glowy again. I click on one, and the same thing happens - 3.0 sec. open that doesn't open, followed by Elara's audio, and I'm back at the same stumped place. I feel like I am missing something fundamental here. I have searched the Internet and the forums on this, to no avail. If anyone can give me a clue, I would appreciate it...

11. I am now at 1000 Fleet Commendations (on production), and that appears to be a hard-coded limit. That is ok for the planet commendations, but since Legacy items are going to cost 1000 Fleet Comms *each*, the 1000 limit is ridiculous and unnecessarily limiting for this particular commendation. I see no reason why the limit can't be lifted to something more flexible, at least 10k.That way I can continue to run space missions and gain Legacy xp *and* Fleet Comms while waiting for 1.2 to roll out. Thanks for a great game !!!
12. The Legacy items you *buy* with the Fleet Comms are Bound to Legacy. All commendations, incl. Fleet, are BoP...actually, they are not highlightable items at all. I don't expect this to change with 1.2, though it would be nice.
13. The reason I have been stacking up Fleet Coms is that you can buy Bound to Legacy items with them in 1.2. They cost 1000 Fleet Coms each. If 1000 is the limit, that is really stupid. You get 1000, spend it on one item, then it takes you 10 days to save up another 1000. Why does BW have to make everything difficult.....
14. I have been trying to build up my Fleet Commendations in anticipation of 1.2, but it looks like my total has stopped at 1000. Does anyone know if this is a hard limit ? If so, that is incredibly stupid...again....
15. The Belsavis daily quest Strengthening The Chain requires one to kill 3 Rattataki Leaders. There are a total of 4 on the map, and two of them are Evade-bugged, i.e., you cannot kill them because they go into Evade mode after they take a few percent of damage. This makes this task a serious pain to complete. In the best case, if you are alone in the area, you kill the other two and then you have to wait for the first one you killed to respawn. Usually, however, there are several people doing this quest, so you have to group up or you wind up competing for these two mobs. Not only should the two bugged mobs be fixed, but there should be a couple more of this type, and their respawn time should be *much* faster. Thanks!!!
16. When I started doing my daily quests after hitting 50, I found the Belsavis set to be unnecessarily time consuming due to two main omissions: 1.There is no taxi flight path between the Republic Wilderness Outpost and the Meltwater Outpost. 2. Although there is an actual physical QT station at the Republic Wilderness Outpost, it does not appear on the QT map when you choose to do a Quick Transport. Thus, when you arrive on Belsavis, since you cannot QT to the Republic Wilderness Outpost, you have to fly there - it is quite a long flight. Also, once you complete the quests from there and need to go back and turn them in, you cannot QT back there. Once you are done turning in there, you can QT to Meltwater Outpost if you want, but there is no taxi to take if your QT is down. Please put a working QT in Meltwater Outpost, and a taxi flight between the two locations. Thanks !!!!
17. I have a toon on the PTS, which is running the current 1.2 candidate. All windows are moveable and resizeable. There is a new entry on the ESC screen menu called Interface Editor. Enter this, and you can change any window you want, even ones you wouldn't think about, like the one for your personal holo viewer. You can also scale the size of any window, or the entire UI. I scaled the windows for my toon and the target window down to 0.9, and I liked them a lot better. One thing I didn't like about the new layout is that they changed the position of your range from your target, and made it much smaller and harder to see. This may seem like a nit, but as a Sage, I use that a lot to make sure I am close enough to cast, and yet still at max distance. Also, the Inventory and Character windows don't appear in the Interface Editor (at least I couldn't find them), but they are still moveable. This has resulted in a strange condition, and I don't know if I can describe this well enough to make it clear. Presently, the Inventory and the Character windows have "default" locations, i.e., two big "window positions", one on either side of the screen. If you open either, it goes to the position on the left. If you open the other with the first still open, the 2nd is smart enough to go to the right position. But in the 1.2 version, if you open one of these windows and then move it, it seems to remember where it was when you closed it, and the next time you open it, it goes to that position. This has resulted in me having these two windows overlay each other, a lot !!! They are apparently not smart enough to know when they are overlaying another window on the screen. I find this to be quite frustrating. There needs to be something to click like "don't overlay another window", or a way to set the "default" position, or some such - been too long since I was designing software, it makes my brain hurt...lol... All in all, I have found the Interface Editor version to be more trouble than it is worth, although I *do* like some of the other 1.2 changes I have tried, like the ability to specify a slot when searching the GTN (but not a stat, which is a HUGE oversight). And some of the Legacy stuff, like having a mailbox and a sell/repair droid on your ship is pretty cool, although you have to pay a good chunk for each of these. Also, the ability, once again expensive, to have the class buffs of the other 3 classes on any toon is pretty nice. Oh yeah, the funniest thing to me in 1.2 is that they allow you to select from several different "pre-made" UI layouts. One is called "Legacy" or something like that, and it is basically a close copy of the WoW UI....rofl
18. OMG, does no one read this forum ???/
19. I just dinged 50 on my Sage, and am looking for the standard recommended spec for a full HM/ops healer (I leveled with a hybrid spec). I see stickies on this forum for Combat Medic and Scoundrel healers, but was surprised that there wasn't one for Sage healers. Can someone point me to spec info and theorycrafting for Sage, perhaps something like Elitist Jerks for WoW? Thanks!!!
20. I was wrong, I saw the +Light in the convo, but the loooooong quest hadn't been completed so the points had not been awarded yet. I finally finished that quest, and am now Light V. Thanks all !!!!!
21. I have 10,000 Light points and 100 Dark points, for a net alignment of 9900 Light. I just earned another 100 Light points, and nothing changed. OMG it looks like I can never get to 10,000 net Light because my Light can't go above 10,000 (it needs to go to 10,100 to net out at 10,000)....please someone tell me that this is not true!!! If it is, it is by far the most monumentally stupid example of software design that I have seen in this game. As a retired programmer/analyst, I have seen countless stupid things in this game so far, but this takes the cake. And worse yet, it has not been fixed 3-1/2 months after release....
22. Thanks for the info, but holy crap, it wanted to download 11.63 GB !!! I don't wanna check out 1.2 *that* bad, plus I wonder if I will have to do another monstrous download to go back to my regular servers.....
23. How do I make a toon on it ? I don't see it in the list, at least I don't see one by that name....
24. Ok, your question was not very specific, but instead of flaming you, I will try to give you a helpful answer.... There are basically 3 types of crafting materials: (1) those that are gathered via gathering skills, (2) those that are returned from crew skill missions, and (3) those that are purchased from a Crew Skill Trade Vendor. This third type of material, which includes First-Aid Kits, various types of flux, Implant Processors, etc, has a tan-colored border, as opposed to the other crafting materials, which have the normal green, blue, and purple-colored borders. Crew Skill Trade Vendors can usually be found on each planet, in the general vendor area where you trade in your planet commendations for goodies. There is also one on the Fleet, in the section where the crafting trainers are. Hope this helps....
