  1. This is correct. As long as you interrupt his healing spell with the special addon skill, he will die quite quickly. One more thing - and this might seem crazy - but you CANNOT DIE in this fight. All you have to do is stand there and interrupt his healing spell every time he casts it. You do not have to cast anything else, and you do not have to heal yourself. The others will keep you alive. You get pretty low on health several times, but I have run this about 6-8 times now, on both sides. The only way you can die is if you get blown off into the void. So just back up against a rock and interrupt over and over again. That's all you have to do to win this stupid battle.
  2. Looks like I found it. Under Chat Setings, the bottomost section entitled "System Channels", un-select Guild Information. Since I did that, I have not had another of those Conquest messages.
  3. I understand you wanting to isolate/separate all guild chat (yours is a pretty good idea actually), but I just want all the guild Conquest achievement notifications out of my Gen chat box. I get so many that it scrolls the normal chat off the screen before I can read it. I am really surprised that there is no way to turn that off.....
  4. In my General Chat box, I keep getting dark green notifications that a guild member has completed a Conquest objective, something like "Darth Soandso has completed a Conquest objective: <Stronghold: Decorator>" I am in a large guild and am getting overwhelmed by these. How can I turn them off ? I have looked in the Guild display and don't see anything. I right-clicked on the General chat tab and selected "Chat Settings"....I did not see anything that seemed like it referred to this problem. NOTE: I do *not* want to turn off Guild Chat, I just wanna get rid of these Conquest notifications in General Chat. Thanks in advance !!!!!
  5. I have completed all 8 story lines, and all 8 classes are lit up on my character selection screen. But I don't have the little gold "squiggle" beside my name plate in-game. Also, I thought it said "Legendary Player" somewhere, not sure where I saw that. Anyway, am I missing something, or is there still something I need to do ? NEVER MIND: found it...you select it in the Title section.
  6. I re-subbed a couple of weeks ago to play thru KotET with the 3 toons that I had completed KotFE with. I discovered this thread, and it scared the crap outta me, so I took each of the 3 toons to the AH and purchased a full set of blue 220 level 66 armor (7 pcs) as soon as each one hit 66 early in KotET. I also bought purple 228 weapons for each (my Marauder only got a 228 main hand, and had to settle for a blue 220 offhand). Relics, ear piece, and implants were a mixture of 208-228 pieces. I also had a purple 228 chest on my Sniper from a Command Chest. First I did the fight with my LS Sage. He never makes a DS decision, so he let Lord Dramath go earlier. He also forgave Senya, so he had her and her scar-faced son on hand . I didn't die once, and thought the fight was long and tedious but not hard. Next was my big red DS Sith Marauder. He held onto Lord Dramath, but killed Senya. He died once to Vaylin's spirit because he got out of position and she blew him into space. Before I ran my last toon, my LS Sniper (who let Lord Dramath go but forgave Senya), thru the battles, I came back to this thread to check for updates. That's when I noticed some new comments added in the last 24 hrs that said the fight now defaulted to Veteran Mode and that you couldn't change it. I checked my game, and sure enough, that was the case (I don't know about the other two toons...Chapter IX was set to Story when I started with them, and I didn't check it later before the big fight as I did with my Sniper). I *feel* like the fight with the Sniper was considerably harder, but it *could* have just been the knowledge that I was now in Veteran Mode psyching me out...no way to know for sure. Anyway, I died twice in the Spirit of Vaylin fight, both times when I let my health get too low and I couldn't get to a green healing circle in times. After that, I started saving my Covered Escape skill until I needed it to boogie out for a healing circle. This helped a lot. The Vaylin fight would have been pretty frustrating w/o some ability to get loose from her and jump in the healing circles.... TL;DR - tough fight, but by no means impossible, at least for the 3 classes I tried. I thought about using boosts to run my toons from the other 5 classes thru just to compare them, but the thought of doing those nine chapters again made blood come out my ears *and* my eyes. I'm outta here.... P.S. I just discovered that I have one unspent skill point left on my Sniper....doh
  7. OMG...now I know what ya'll are talking about...now it all makes sense !!!! I had forgotten about that silly box. I don't remember what I checked in this case, but I have other alts that are 65, so I will experiment with it so as time goes by. Thanks all !!!!!
  8. In the upper left corner, I have "toggle chat off" and "toggle social center off". To the right of that is my location, the number of players in that location, number of my guild online, and how many mail msgs I have pending. No box for tutorial - no idea what you are talking about. Sorry to be so dense, but it's almost like you have a different UI than I do....
  9. Just finished Chapter 1, and I got everything back at the beginning of Chapter 2. So, although I never actually saw the word "tutorial", chapter 1 is pretty much that. Not sure why they keep you on such narrow rails to begin with, but it looks like everything is more or less back to normal now. And I feel better....I took my frustration out on Selena...heh
  10. Just re-subbed to play KotET. 1. What is up with this getting my skills back little by little as I fight in the first chapter ? 2. It tells me I don't have the skill to ride my mounts....*** ? 3. Where did my Heroic Moment, Salvation, and other Legacy skills/perks go ? Where are all these changes listed ? I have read the patch notes, and didn't see anything about stuff like this in there. I feel like I missed a "KotET Orientation" class or something.....
  11. Dang, I'm sorry guys, I think I typed this in with one hand while watching TV. I was talking about the "HK-55-inspired jetpack" they are offering if you are subbed on Feb. 1. My sub expires in a couple of days, and I was wondering if it was worth another 15 bucks to hang on and get the jetpack.
  12. Will it be a vehicle, i.e., we can fly, or will it just hover in one place ?
  13. Found it !!!! Also got a GTN terminal !!! Thanks !!!!
  14. Can I get an NPC in my Stronghold that I can sell stuff to, like the Medical Droid, for example ?? If so, how ?? Thanks !!!!
  15. I turned off the Outfit Designer and the problem went away and has not returned....so far. The chest piece I was using in the OD was Adaptive, so I just transferred the mods to it and started wearing it directly. Not a perfect solution, but better than seeing that monstrously ugly headpiece in convos, etc..... This leaves me with the conclusion that the bug is in the OD. Perhaps it will be fixed one day.....
  16. Gaahhh, this is driving me nutters !!!!! Surely *someone* has knowledge of this crazy problem.....
  17. I changed the headgear on my 22 Shadow (from ugly to bearable - both adaptive), but I can't get the game to stop showing me with the old (painfully ugly) item. I even sold the old piece, but it still shows up in convos and at the character screen. And now it is showing in regular game, even though I have "Hide Head Slot" checked !!!! I am wearing the new piece, and the new piece is included in my current active outfit. How can the old piece be showing up when I don't even own it anymore, it is not in the Outfit Designer, and I have "Hide Head Slot" checked ??? And yes, I not only logged off, I killed the game and restarted it..../aaargh !!!! EDIT: it does *not* show up in the regular Character Screen view. Also, my toon is a Twilek....
  18. From the very beginning (yes, I played Esseles on the first day of early access in Dec. 2011), the Esseles/BT FP has been the first place that a new toon could get great adaptive gear. Heck, I'm pretty sure one of my old toons somewhere is still using his nifty Esseles Blaster Pistol. So imagine my consternation tonight when I played Esseles for the first time in a year or so, and didn't get a single piece of decent gear - no blues, no purples and no oranges, just a single crappy green bracer and a few credits !!!! What happened to those wonderful pieces of gear from Esseles - the class-specific chest piece (that some noobie fool would always Need and then find out he couldn't wear it), the great orange weapons, shield generator, etc ? Back in the day, the first thing that a new toon did after leaving the origin planet was to run Esseles and gear up. When did this happen and who the heck thought it was a good idea ? How is Esseles/BT not just plain worthless and a waste of time now ? It just occurred to me that I ran it solo....might that have something to do with it ? Perhaps if run with a group you still get some decent gear ? That would make at least a little bit of sense.....
  19. Never mind - figured it out !!!!!!
  20. I have a Sniper and a Marauder, both on the same server, and both waiting for Chapter X. Both are also waiting on the next Rakghoul Resurgence to complete their "A Kindly Old Monster" quest. The problem that I can't figure out, though, is that the Sniper has all the "Gearing Up" quests plus [WEEKLY] Flashpoint: The Star Fortress (0/6), but the Marauder has nothing...zip, zero, nada, not a single quest. IOW, he is dead in the water until Chapter X !!! What did I miss on the Marauder, and how do I get out of the dead end he is now in ???
  21. Can you give me (x,y) or more detail please ? I have looked everywhere I know to look and can't find it.....
  22. I guess I'm pretty dim about all the finer workings of FE, so be warned of an incoming dumb question or two. I have read a lot of this thread, and have seen two comments that I need more detail on: First, someone said that you eventually get all your original companions back, if you just stick with the story. I assume this is post-Chapter IX, since I have done Chapter IX and now am stuck at the "Chapter X: Coming Soon" point. If this is so, can someone point me to a dev thread or statement that actually confirms this ? Secondly, I have read many references to a terminal where a player can immediately recover any or all of his original Companions. I have looked for this terminal in Odessen and have not found it. Can someone tell me exactly where it is ? I do not want to reclaim my Companions in this manner, but it drives me nutters that I can't find it. Thanks in advance !!!!
