TO THE OP: your title implies that farts are useful in non-tornadic situations. Would you elaborate on how you see farts being useful in general (except of course for reduction of gastrointestinal pressure and making your friends and little kids laugh) ???

Ok, I've finished FE Chapter 9 and went and fetched Niko and Fess and the others. What do I do from now until Chapter 10 comes out in January ? I was told something like "develop your alliance" or some such, but what does that mean ? ATM, the only thing showing up in my quest column is the "Chapter 10 - Coming Soon" notice. I feel like I am missing something..... BTW, I skipped getting the Pierce dude because I have no interest in doing SWToR's lame version of PvP, and resent BW trying to force me to do it. Is this a problem ? Does it have to do with my current situation ? Is not going to get *every* one of these dudes going to harelip something in the future ?

Since at level 57 I am currently decked out in 168-level (level 56) gear, 192 would be a sweet upgrade. However, my 8 choices were a sniper rifle, 2 different blaster rifles, 2 different blaster pistols, 2 different techblades, and a double-bladed light saber. What do these weapons have in common ? I can neither equip or use any of them !!!! Clearly, this quest was intended to supply a sweet new weapon to one of my Companions, but with the advent of patch 4.0 these weapons are useless to them. Please update this quest to reward a weapon useful to the player instead. Thank you !!!

I am neither a "hater" or a "screamer". I am actually a perfectly composed and reasonable grandfather of six and great-grandfather of three. Yes, I know that practically speaking it is not a big deal, that you could just keep the student stick you were given at level 1 and still probably play the game just fine even now. But not only am I one of those people that find the principle of things important, I am also a retired software engineer who has designed systems and written thousands of lines of production code. So I just have to ask the people who produced the rewards for this quest....WHAT WERE YOU THINKING ??? There are 8 weapons offered and 4 empty slots in the panel that pops up. Did you think Consulars and JKs didn't *need* a new weapon ? Or did you intend this reward to be used by Companions, hence the two techblades ? That would make a modicum of sense pre-4.0, but of course is totally ridiculous now since Companion gear no longer has any affect on their performance. Perhaps there was a fire alarm in the middle of the design session for this quest, and you just never got back to it ? Perhaps you had a hard-wired constant of 8 somewhere that limited the max number of rewards for this quest ? Or perhaps marketing wouldn't let you spend any more time on this quest (this has actually happened to me, but I just sneaked back in and finished it on my own time, which was a capital offense, but I couldn't help myself....right is right). Bottom line: in a game that has suffered some pretty colossal stupids over the years since release, this is a pretty big one. Even though it won't help me, how 'bout somebody fix this....please ?

I was somewhat skeptical of the changes to Companions for KotFE that allow any of them to assume any role, so I was anxious to check it out. I offer observations on my experience so far...perhaps they will be of some value to those coming along behind me.... FYI: I have been out about a year, so when I re-subbed, I had to do Revan on all my toons before I stated on KotFE. HEALER: I started with my Sith Warrior/Marauder. I was surprised how much better Vette's heals were.In leveling him from 55 to 65, I only had to step out of the fight a couple of times when my health got worryingly low, and I only remember using a medpac once. I also used heal mode to level my Sniper from 55-65, with the same ease. TANK: I leveled a heal-spec Sage to 55 in the "old days", and always used Fess in tank mode. This was super-safe, but slow going (DPS-wise), and I had to heal him a lot. For the Hutt xpac, I rolled a new Sage, speced him for Telekinetics (still have base heals, of course) and set Fess to Tank mode. I was amazed to discover that he was almost totally invulnerable, in an OP way !!! I literally never have to heal him - I do keep him bubbled for the tougher fights, tho. And with my Sage's increased DPS, things go waaaaay faster !!! DPS: today I decided that I would try setting Fess to DPS mode and see if I could tell a difference from him in Tank mode. Once again, I was amazed - he is a killing machine !!! Yes, I do have to heal him sometimes between fights, but even then the rate of progress is noticeably higher. And since I often jump on my speeder or use Rocket Boost after a fight, which instant-auto-heals your Companion, that is even better.... I am currently in the Revan story with my Sage, and the biggest laugh is doing one of the solo FPs with Fess in DPS mode. The droid that they give you runs in Tank mode, and it and Fess kill mobs so fast that I literally don't have time to get into the fight unless it is a Boss....all other mobs and groups, including Elites, are dead so fast I usually just wind up watching. I did have one fun moment earlier today in a Boss fight in the Battle of Tython solo FP. I was watching TV with one eye while I face-rolled 1-2-3-4 on my Sage, and didn't notice that my Tank droid had died. With Fess in DPS mode, I got jumped by the Boss, and had a few hectic moments finishing the fight. My first thought was to quickly switch Fess back to Tank mode, but nope, can't do that in the middle of a fight....heh

The thing I hated about the rewards (speeder, jacket, and pistols) is the stupid (yes, that word is over-used but seems pretty applicable here imo) way that they implemented them. Instead of mailing all 3 rewards to every one of my dozen or so toons, why not just add them to our collection ? That seems a waaaaaay easier and more sensible way to handle it. And to add insult to injury, once I get the items from my mail, it won't let *me* add them to my Collection, either. This boggled my mind, but my family tells me that sometimes things that I insist are overwhelmingly and intuitively obvious....are not, so perhaps my mind just works funny.....

Whenever I upgrade my toon with a new set of gear mods bought with commendations, it always frustrates me that I have to buy these items one at a time. It takes, if memory serves, 8 armor, 9 mods, and 7 enhancements for a complete upgrade. Please consider adding the ability to buy multiples of these items using <shift><drag> like most other items at vendors. An even better, although more complex, solution would be to just click on an item of armor and have it auto-upgraded (same price, of course). There are a lot of interesting possibilities with this..... Thanks for a great game !!!!

I was thinking that a Companion with a higher Influence rank would heal for more, but that does not seem to be the case in my informal testing. I compared the heals of a Rank 1 Companion and a Rank 10 Companion, and they were virtually the same, both in tooltip values and actual heals. I am currently playing thru the Revan xpac. Perhaps the stronger heals would only apply in KotFE ? If not, then what good is it to spend a ton of time (and optionally, gold) raising Influence ?

Yes, there is, but that screen it totally blank. Sorry for not being more specific in my OP, but I guess I wanna know how to get some to import or export. For example, after the patch, they changed the Crew Skills window from 'N' to 'B', but I have been using 'B' for inventory screens (i.e., Bags...lol) for years, so I changed the key for the Crew Skills window to <shift><N>. But I had to do that over again for each of my dozen toons. So when I read about Keybind Import/Export in the patch notes, I envisioned making this change on one toon, exporting the new set of keybinds, then importing them for each subsequent toon, thus only having to make the change once. But I don't see any way to export a set of keybinds. Pardon me in advance if it is obvious....

From the patch notes: "Players may now save/load their keybinds from the Preferences window." "Keybinds can now be previewed in-line, so you can compare different profiles without having to load them first." Anyone know where I can find details on this ? I didn't see anything different on the Preferences window...

Dunno how hard it would be to do, but it would be nice if each toon on the Character Select screen would have a flag or other indicator when they have unread mail.

The patch notes say that you will get "Legendary Status" if you complete all 8 story lines. I *have* completed all 8 story lines. However, I created my Republic and Empire characters on different servers. This made perfect sense to me in 2011, and I'm sure it did to many other players. My character screen now shows "4/8 Complete" for both Republic and Empire, on their respective servers. Shouldn't I now get Legendary Status ? Someone please tell me that BW was not stupid enough to require you to complete all 8 story lines on a single server to get Legendary Status....

EDIT: never mind, found the answer to my question...wow, what a PitA putting this all back together is gonna be !!! ---------------------------------------------------------------- I re-subbed a couple of months ago to take advantage of the 12x xp bonus (and to make sure I got the various perk items for the new xpac). I got all my toons on both sides up to 55, and then, since I didn't have the Revan xpac yet, took a break for a couple weeks and played Marvel Heroes and WildStar. I logged on today to look around (after downloading 6 GB of new DLC....or was it 9 GB ?) and found my companions in their skivvies and it appears that their gear is in my mailbox as lost items. I know I am a bit behind the curve where the new expansion is concerned, but can someone explain this to me (nicely) or point me to a link that will ? Thanks !!

Ok, I'll gladly admit to being a doofus if I have overlooked something, but navigating thru Collections is driving me nutters. I own two sets of armor and 2 or 3 weapons, and every time I want to get a set for a new toon or w/e, I have to slog thru dozens of pages to find the one I am looking for. Is there some way to filter Collections so it just shows what I own on my account, or at least a search function ?

My last (of 8) toons hits 55 tonight. Unless I am misunderstanding something, I cannot level them past 55 w/o the Revan xpac. So either I get SoR tomorrow and cruise to 60 on all 8 toons via the 12x story xp that is available for 9 more weeks, or I just sit around and make more credits on the GTN until Oct. 27. Please correct me if I missed something in my logic....

I recently returned after a break of a year or so, in order to bring all my toons (4 from each side) up to level 55 using the 12x class story xp (which is just plain awesome). I have the Rise of the Hutt Cartel xpac, and am almost finished with leveling all 8 toons to 55. So in a few days I will be buying the Revan xpac and continuing all my toons to level 60. Here is my question: I have enough Basic Comms on each toon to equip each toon and one companion for each toon with a complete set of level 55 mods. But I don't know if I should do that or not. If I do so, when I get the Revan xpac, will I find all my newly-purchased mods outdated by new stuff in the new xpac ? OTOH, I'm afraid if I don't, I might find my hundreds of Basic Coms useless in the new xpac. I would appreciate some advice from some folks who already have the Revan xpac, and have done the 55-to-60 thing. Thanks in advance !!!

The big shiny terminal in the middle of my ship won't talk to me. I don't know what Forged Alliances is. The only quest I have atm is one called "Day of Dread" that tells me to travel to Oricon. How can I tell if I have the Revan xpac ? I thought it was free for subscribers.....

I just came back from a break, and the message for my 55 Commando says that I should go to my ship and pick up the quest "Shadow of Revan: Prelude" to begin the new story line. But I can't find any such quest on my ship. Help ???

You are correct. I checked my CC history, and I get the 100 on a different day of the month. Apparently I just never noticed that extra 100 appear. BTW, the reason I was wondering about the 100 is because I have 2400 with the latest 500 added, and I need 2500 to buy my Tat SH. Thanks all !!!!!!

I get an email each month telling me I have been awarded my monthly 500 CCs for being a subscriber, but I never get anything about the 100 for the security key. I just happened to read that on one of those loading screens at the bottom and thought it was strange because I never have gotten that.

I read on one of those help notes on the screens when you log in that folks with a Security Key get an extra 100 CCs per month. But all I am getting is the 500 CCs for being a subscriber. Does anyone know what the real deal is on this ?
