  1. In the prelaunch my server's population was very high, now it's Sunday 11:00 am and I saw only 25 people in the imperial fleet. My guild is one of the most active guilds in the server, and we had only 4 people online. Even those who spam "LFG BT hard mode " are gone. I unsubscribed yesterday but will be able to play for another 100 days. I am really sad for the server, I like my character and want to play more but also don't want to do the daily quests again for the billionth time or level another alt to guarantee boredom. Honestly I am not blaming people for quitting the game as it feels really empty. I truly hope bioware somehow fixes the overall empty feeling and really starts adding something that will keep the players busy and want to come back for more. I know a lot of people believe Bioware is really working hard, that may be true but at this point they have to put something really solid to save the game. Because if the overall population goes further down I don't think it will be easy for the company to save the game's image. I must add, a lot of people including me were so excited to hear there were going to be many different planets in the game before the launch, but was frustrated to see they turned out to be nothing but labyrinths with different "planet themes". I expect MMOs to put players in a different "planet" or an "environment" that really feels like a new place/ dynamic world not a labyrinth. Take a look at some of the other MMOs like EQ or AC 1, even singleplayer games like Elder Scrolls. In short, we were told that the game was going to have new features we never seen in any other games since it came out as " the new generation of MMOs" , well I don't think WOW - Star Wars Theme can be called that but.. ookay !! Now players are suggesting systems that should be implemented in the game so it can be more "complete " .. that's ironic. I hope at least Bioware can find a good way to thank those who really want to keep this game alive.
  2. sometimes I really believe other gaming companies are hiring other people so they constantly post negative things about the game all the time. Give it a break or at least learn to use the forums, there are so many topics just like this.. it's almost like "acceptable spam flood" here.
  3. When I first experienced this problem I simply googled it and found other people who have been complaining about it months ago ( even in February ). Also, players are told that moderators make sure they report the bugs discussed on the forums immediately.. This may be a minor problem, but when you look at the game in general there are many other "minor problems" that almost makes the game irritating. ( and no I am not going to say " hey im paying for a game with full of bugs" yet, but believe me I am getting there )
  4. I don't think it's simply endgame = alts but there is still lack of end game content and legacy system is new. I just started leveling an alt and I honestly don't enjoy leveling because the only reason is additional +5% force power for my main. In other words I feel like I need to level a character to 42 so I can get his buff. I find it frustrating because it is almost like Bioware is MAKING players to play with alts. You might ask why ? Well because +5% force power is actually very good for a dps sorcerer and it really makes a difference. ( for someone with 700 force power it means +35, not bad huh? ) I am already done with rakata gear for now and I am collecting black hole badges for the new set, so there's not much I can do with my main, especially when my guild members are not raiding. Even though the character stories are nice I don't want to do the quests over and over again. And for me that is a huge problem. I always hated MMOs almost making people to choose or do certain things in the game. I am glad I did not care for pvp in this game, i think the alts' buffs affected it the most.
  5. You see.. even in-game inquisitor sets have shading and color display problems. I've been trying to keep a thread about Rakata chest piece appearance bug alive for 2 weeks. I reported my problem ( which is a bug ) 3 weeks ago, and nobody cares. What I am saying is, I believe BW already decided on other tier sets considering I've seen pvp tier 1 set here on this very website in 2010. I agree with what people say about the look of sith / jedi armors in general, because they look more like futuristic "Forgotten Realms" mage robes than siths and jedis.
  6. I say WOW + Asheron's Call 1 Asheron's Call 1's world events were awesome, every event brought something new along with many new quests. Some of these quests were very rewarding and only lasted a few hours ( people who were online always received the rewards if they survive at the end ). Now I am looking at today's MMORPGs, it's so sad MMORPGs are not dynamic anymore, players are simply doing the same things over and over again, the progression only comes with major patches and they ask you to do the new things over and over.. In my opinion there's a problem with that in general with today's MMORPGs. WOW , boss fights and end game instances were challenging, here in SWTOR the game is so easy we can easily finish the new areas came with 1.2 in a few hours. My guild may be an exception but believe me game's end game doesn't really require you to be "too" careful, most of the time bosses only require you to watch your step and run away from their aoes . Ughh really ? .... I also think since we have story line in the game characters should have epic story lines as a part of the end game. we should be able to progress on our own and unlock some of the things, get rewards or customizable unique features ( appearance, different blaster/saber look etc )
  7. haha no, I am also going to do the same thing again on Friday
  8. What do we need to do in order to get this fixed ? I understand there are major bugs in the game and we probably sound like spoiled children with gear yet I find this bug really annoying. Fixing this shouldn't take a lot of BW devs time..
  9. You know from the day 1, people have been constantly complaining and even posting on general discussion when they decide to unsubscribe.. You see.. a lot of people DO NOT CARE if you are unsubscribing. I am not a fan boy or anything, in fact I am irritated with a bug in the game, but some people love bashing this game and trying to harm the game's image. I can see you quit wow, or some other mmorpg but again WE DON'T CARE. please get a life, and if you don't like the game stop trolling the forums or trying to make the game look bad. Yes it has bugs. Yes it may be boring ( for you ). Yes it may not have "enough" end game content ( game launched a few months ago..) Believe me or not but I've even seen someone saying " omg there's too much content with one patch this sux!" all I can say is, I like this game, and I enjoy playing it. If you like Blizzard or wow or whatever, good for you. But this is SWTOR ^_^
  10. Here's what I got as a response... " Thank you for contacting us regarding the color of Rakata Force Master robe. Your report has been forwarded to our development team, who will investigate further. Please be aware that when a ticket is escalated for such an investigation, it will no longer be visible to you through the in-game helpcenter. We regret that we will be unable to provide you with further updates on this issue, but recommend checking the latest patch notes at http://www.swtor.com/patchnotes for information on any fixes or changes related to this issue. We would like to apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, and to thank you again for the valuable feedback you have provided. Please do not hesitate to report any other issues you may encounter while playing. Please do not hesitate to contact us again if there is anything further we can help you with. Galactic Support is our speciality… " I guess we will have to check the patch notes .. let's hope they fix this before 1.3
  11. Update : I created a ticket yesterday and received another token to get a new chestpiece, result was the same. Yet again it appeared only black, then I created another ticket, and response was pretty much "we are going to work on this issue".
  12. really ? My account was hacked and I never got it back, I sent at least 15 emails to Blizzard. In fact, the hacking was so obvious that my old account's email address was changed to something like urhackd123@hotmail ... I lost all of my characters and all the items I worked so hard to get ( I started playing the game in its first month ). In return Blizzard kept me waiting for months then I gave up. It's been 2 years now, still I haven't got a reply from them. Look at wow's own forums, people are frustrated with the new resurrection scroll. Does company care about how much people worked to get to level 80 ? or loyalty of its customers ? meeh.. not really. Of course Blizzard is a bigger company than Bioware, but at least ( so far ) Bioware doesn't have the robotic-corporate understanding yet.
  13. Yes, BUT Bioware needs to do something about crafting, PvP I even see guilds by name "Huttball Again ?" or "At Least It's Not Huttball" ( which is also related with number of Republic players* ) More end game content : many hardcore players probably feel underchallenged, I understand more content is on the way, but I am truly afraid of what's going to happen because Bioware is player-sensitive. I am afraid there will be a huge gap between today's endgame content's difficulty and that of 1.2. I am sure there will be more challenging content but then .. I am pretty sure casual players will qq a lot about the game's difficulty. Better UI ( I am sorry Bioware, I love you and I've been playing your games since Baldur's Gate 1 ) but let's face it -- It's not very useful for an MMORPG, I am aware they are coming up with more customization, but .. even old games like Asheron's Call 1 had better UI ( yes I love AC 1 ) The problems with server population require a solution, pre-launch was very successfully managed, it was amazing to see how Bioware professionally came up with so many servers even before game's launch. Yet, sometimes the game doesn't feel like an MMORPG. When I was leveling, Hoth was so boring and so empty.. I really hated it. I rarely see Republic players ( Darth Sion - US ). I don't know how devs will find a solution but apparently Republic players are annoyed. And this affects PVP as well ( huttball ?) Map : It's more of a labyrinth than a world map, I don't know if anyone played AC 1 here but, in that game when a player was curious about what was going on in a distant mountain, that player was able to go there. I mean, with this map design, people probably feel like they don't have a lot of options because it's almost linear to me. There's a map.. there are bases, caves... but I don't know.. it doesn't feel like a world map to me. I mean yeah there are different planets but, still I don't feel like I can really move freely. What about low level planets ? Maybe you guys should really sit down and see what you can do about them. As a PVE player, I am really tired of seeing Belsavis and Ilum everyday.. I can't wait to be done with collecting daily commendations. Look, increasing the number of daily quests is one thing, but making the map more useful by allowing people to shape it is another (like in UO, AC1 ). I hope you are reading this, I really love your games, but you will have to work hard to keep people coming to this game. I am a casual player, I am getting geared slowly but I don't care. What I like about your game is; it doesn't push players to constantly raid for gear. But you need to take very hardcore players into account because some of them just sit in the Imperial Fleet or w/e all day after daily quests. Think of UO, it's just like LEGO. I am somewhat satisfied with the game, I thought before the pre-launch only RPers would like it. See, you guys already gave some hope, a lot of people are tired of playing the same MMORPGs over the years. I know people want to play a game that is 100% complete but.. changing a few dynamics, adding more content, server-wide events would definitely affect players' choices. Why don't you let the galaxy really progress with each patch ? At least that would offer a tiny incentive for those who enjoy the story.
  14. LOL I agree, maybe they can actually add more use to orbital stations because they are pretty much increasing the loading time for no reason( for non-RPs ). Adding a few quest areas or different traveling options from these stations to another might make looking at boring loading screen for minutes a bit understandable.
  15. LFD tool may seem like a very useful tool but in my opinion it really kills the "server culture" in a sense. Before X-server system in WoW, guild members mostly went to instances together, in fact during vanilla Wow, way before Tier 1 set and Molten Core content, people were actually looking for guilds with lots of people who are looking for groups to get T0 set pieces and to level up faster. After Xtransfer, believe me or not but both servers I played ( Nathrezim and Dethecus ) started dying and a lot of guilds actually started to transfer to other servers. I understand SWTOR's map is almost "too" big for many people, and that leads to low population ~ LFG problem in general. But if Bioware comes up with this system, I don't think devs can easily solve the Low population problem across leveling areas. There's also a very important fact that many ex-Wow players are still looking for something very similar because change bothers a lot of people at the beginning.
  16. Firstly : this is my very first message here, because I normally prefer reading rather than writing pages long stuff I used to do : I really agree with most of what you guys say, there should definitely be more options because I really like Bioware ~ Black Isle's way of using RP elements in their games. But from what I can see, I think we are being somewhat "perfectionists" here, you would probably say : "bull...." but think about the voice acting. Look carefully and you will see our characters are sometimes repeating themselves. I wish we had at least 5 - 7 options for every single conversation with unique voice acting, but let's get real Bioware is not a huge company and I don't think EA would allow Bioware to spend another few millions just for the sake of game's RP details that would appeal people like us ( considering we are a minority in MMORPG players ) . I am sure they can make the dialogues better and even more complicated considering how successful they are ( Baldur's Gate is legendary.. ) at this but when it comes to marketability those who just want to power play will be bored. I am sure they can add more options without voice acting but then it would make some other players unhappy. So what I am saying is there has to be a balance for the company so it can offer optimal amount of each aspect of the game for everyone. I really believe Bioware succeeded in forming an optimal balance so far, I am even surprised because I thought MMORPGs could only be successful when only marketed for extremely simple mindless fun ( I mean like today's wow and its panda mages <3 )
