  1. The sad truth is this really does nothing to solve the major issues, I do not believe BioWare realistically understands it's market. What they need to do is: -- improve the game engine -- increase PvP survivability -- remove a majority of these overdone "phases" so we can walk around in a free world -- allow us to feasibly PvE without companions -- improve gear designs significantly -- improve the horribly boring world (remove planets like Quesh and add Dantooine, Manaan, Mashyyyk, etc) -- Use KOTOR world Styling (Sith academy should be stone not a surgical steel villain's lair) -- Add depth to the DS & LS choices (so that Jedi are not hippies and Sith are not serial killers) -- Create Real Lore (Not Obese Villians that are purposely called "imperials" instead of "Sith" to just mimic the galactic empire) -- Allow players to choose the way their character holds their Lightsaber -- Allow troopers to take cover, prone, crouch, etc. -- Allow many of the classes to use weapons they would logically be able to use, even if it gimps them ( i.e. Trooper can hold a pistol if they want to) -- Improve Lightsaber combat swings and sounds (so it feels like a lightsaber and not a baseball bat) -- Add proper emotes (like /meditate and /sleep) as well as interactive seating -- Fix graphical errors like robe bustles, hood + mask, officer hat + hair, and eyebrows that actually change color with hair color. -- Allow players to actually craft -- Add day and night, weather, etc. -- Add free space combat I'm not saying group finder is not important, it definitely is, but did these guys forget that this is a game, where you are supposed to play and have fun? They gave us a legacy feature that basically leads us towards rolling tons of alts so we can just keep playing and keep our subscriptions as long as possible, what happened to players keeping subs because they are having fun? I have a hard time believing that the majority of the market are these "hard core extremist gamers" that don't give a flying crap about how their character looks, where they can walk, how the world feels, etc. Supposedly, these guys could care less if they were walking around wearing fish costumes and swinging giant turds, as long as they maximize their DPS and have plenty of raids for which to get more powerful turds to kill more enemies with. What I wanna know is where did the $300,000,000 (million) that was spent to make this game go? Did this development team even PLAY KOTOR 1? It was an amazing game with horrid game mechanics that was a best seller based on the fact that it had a good story alone!
  2. There are very few roleplayers left, I always try, but people think I am crazy. You cannot sit in chairs. You cannot meditate. You cannot sleep. You cannot choose your lightsaber stance. You cannot find a single fashionable outfit to wear. You cannot enter 60% of the world because you are not the right class/completed the phase already. You cannot wander too far or you will run into an "exhaustion zone" You cannot swim because there is no water deeper than 3 feet. You cant fly your starship, you can only watch it fly. You cannot craft, you can only coordinate a small team to do it for you. You cannot walk into very many buildings. The world is depressing, with new planets that don't feel like starwars. Chat bubbles are non-existent. Forget about world RP-PvP events, the planets are faction phased. Forget about storyline, this one is garbage, karpyshyn left bioware, and daniel erickson is in charge. Forget about player population, a minimum of 400,000 canceled (with another 200,000 atleast that recieved a free month which only applies during account cancelation, in order to legally count as "still subscribed" to decieve shareholders during the last report) Forget about seeing me, my account was just canceled. Forget about improvements, bioware is choosing to pretend that everything is just dandy. In all honesty, you're better off playing WoW and pretending your a jedi, it's just as much of a stretch.
  3. I give up, it's clear with the recent shareholder reports that the game is losing subs fast and this is just not going to be on their list any time soon. Either way, it's not something I have to worry about anymore, I cancled my subscription yesterday, not just because of robe bustles for many reasons. If the gameplay ever gets better, they add more gear, and fix the graphic errors, I may come back, but until then best of luck everyone, keep fighting the good fight, maybe bioware will fix it eventually!
  4. Not the brightest lightbulb in the world, eh?
  5. http://www.swtorstrategies.com/2012/03/swtor-guild-summit-rp-guilds-ui-and-all-the-rest.html Looks like they did a few times, That gives me some hope.
  6. I get the feeling they might read *some* of them but they continue to rationalize why it's not a "feasible" solution and so the box is essentially worthless unless one of the developers actually reads it and really likes it themselves. I noticed almost everything at the guild summit was either "We actually already have a plan for that" or "No, that would be way to much work for a game of this calibur." I personally didnt see a single thing that was "Good idea, we'll think about it" but I could be wrong. If thats an in-person guild summit, imagine what they do when they read these things...
  7. I know you're not going to like this bioware, but at some point you're going to have address you're "phase happy" development team, because as of now, RPers, PvPers, and RP-PvPers are getting a little bit sick of not being able to schedual open world PvP or RP-PvP events on planets like Taris and Balmorra, not being able to attack the opposing faction's main city, and not being able to explore the world freely with one character. The "we're still new, we dont know much about MMO developement, so we focus on a single player experience" excuse can only cut you a break for so long...
  8. The issue of character aesthetics should be pretty high on your list, many of us cannot connect or enjoy our experience because our characters don't look acceptable to us. We've heard you mention better designs for endgame sets after a few more "cycles" but are there any plans to improve/add more non-endgame gear as well? This includes adding re-colored and simplifyed versions of current sets, more simple/iconic low level outfits, simple belts, and allowing the missing pieces of many currently existing sets to be acquired by different classes (i.e. dark acolyte's gloves can only be acquired by inquisitors currently).
  9. The Following are currently existing models of robes/armor for the Sith Empire to be added in various colors. While this will not solve the issue of garbage gear designs, it will help ease the interim period while we wait for new gear, and should be easy to implement: -- Dark Acolyte's Set: Add dozens of different colors of this set, some with hood up, some with hood down. Additionally, please make some versions of this available without the weird red square light on the chest. -- Enshrouding Force Set: Please make it a variety of blacks and browns, and add the "Stock" belt into the game as an actual item (The belt which displays on the lower robe by default when no item is equipped in the waist slot) -- Traditional Nylite Set: Also add in various blacks and browns (like Spindrall's outfit) and add variations without the square lights. -- Traditional Thermoweave Set: Add in blacks and browns, add the stock belt into the game as an actual item. (The belt which displays on the lower robe by default when no item is equipped in the waist slot) -- Esseles Sentinel Tunic: Add imperial versions in blacks, grays, and browns. -- Padawan Set (Jedi Knight Starter Set): Add imperial versions in blacks, grays, and browns. Additionally, to improve the game experience from a 'design' and aesthetics perspective: Please add many more simple "stock" belts, slightly thin out Lightsaber hilts a bit more plus make the blades longer (less like a baseball bat, more like an 'elegant weapon'), allow choice of Lightsaber stance, revamp dark side corruption appearance (no black eyes and black mouth lines), fix graphic errors like robe bustles & eyebrows that don’t match hair, add emote animations (especially meditate, cross arms, and sleep), and add expanded seating.

  11. I'd just be happy if they allowed us to get the stance for any jedi/sith after completing the class. In other words, I'd be willing to bite the bullet and level a whimpy jedi knight to 50 just to get the stance for my sith warrior.
  12. I'm losing my mind here, why is it the NPCs seem to have black robes and iconic sith type gear but all players can get is frilly blue and purple garbage? One example of this is Darth Nurin on the Zoist Shadow. Could you please make her outfit (A black/grey/red-orange version of the Enshrouding Force Robe Set) available in game as well as some more black/grey outfits? At this point, I'll be happy if you just take a majority of the gear we already have in-game and just add more variations with different colors, that should be easy enough to implement. Additionally I will say it again, please add simple belts that do NOT stick off our waists more than an inch or two and do NOT have enormous attachments. Oh, and all you fanboys, trolls, and Hardcore gamers who will attempt to troll my thread either because you are design inept or because you want to score "cool points" with bioware: Kiss my fanny.
  13. As you may have noticed, design is very important to everyone, in every business. With that said, in an MMO, the design of just about everything is very important to many of us. We've heard you say you're going to be working on the outright unacceptable armor designs, but just a few suggestions I'd like you guys to look at while we're on the subject of "design." 1. Belts These don't seem to be on your list at all, Half of the armor sets dont have belts and almost every belt in the game is horrid and sticks off the body like 5 inches. I noticed just about every pair of pants, skirt, or lower robe has a "stock" belt (a belt graphic attached to the leg slot item which is displayed when not wearing anything in the waist slot). These are usually very, very good designs and should be added into the game as actual items. Some of the best "stock" belts that I believe should be included as actual waist slot items include the stock belts from the imperial versions of Enshrouding Force Lower Robe, Traditional Thermoweave Lower Robe, Hooligan's Leggings, and the republic version of the Padawan's Pants (Jedi Starting Set). These belts should be included in the game in various different colors, and new belts should also be added into the game that are simple and do not stick off the body more than an inch or two. 2. Lightsabers This used to be a Hot Topic, and Lightsaber thickness has definitely been improved since the giant soda can designs from beta, but I have to say it - Please make them a bit thinner and make the blades a bit longer. The reason behind this is that the thinner the Lightsaber, the more "elegant" it feels, rather than just a glowing baseball bat. Remember, the Lightsaber is "an elegant weapon, not clumsy or random like a blaster." 3. Lightsaber Stances There are actually many who would love to have the choice of which Lightsaber stance to use, and there are a lot of threads already existing asking for this. Look, I'm telling you, Silhouette is NOT an important factor to PvP. I'm begging you to find it in your hearts to allow us to hold our weapons the way we want. 4. Dark Side Corruption Appearance Surprisingly enough, though almost everyone I mention it to agrees with me (atleast on my server) there are not a lot of threads that have beat this horse yet. The dark side appearance is a bit overdone. The biggest issues include the evil mustache type lines that form around the mouth, and the two black eyes. I'm dying here, please just remove the black lines around the mouth and eyes, and lessen the amount of skin cracks. 5. Emotes This horse has been beaten many times, but I will beat it again. Please add the emotes like /meditate, /cross arms, /sleep, and /die (Feign Death, probably not useable in combat) Additionally, please add more simple black robe options for the Sith. As you may have noticed, my main is a sith warrior and so I most of these suggestions are for Sith styling, but that doesn’t mean these problems exist for sith alone. There are plenty more suggestions I'd love to throw out but I will leave it here in order to be brief, stay tuned for more style/design based suggestions!
  14. I wasnt aware that we should all stop posting on the suggestion forum until they fix these bugs first. Good thing you pointed it out.
  15. Agreed, Can't stand the sith warrior stance, it's just an attempt to make the sith warrior look "pissed" to portray their cliche anger, even though the anger is more deeply psychological than just "GAH! I WANT TO KILL SOMETHING!"...most of the time.
