  1. I just checked, the sky is actually not falling. Please to be getting over it.
  2. I'm not against it, but I'm not for it either. As others have said, bootcamp and/or just don't buy a mac for gaming.
  3. Perhaps from a level 50 world boss, but certainly not from any normal Hoth mob.
  4. Troopers have to go back to talk to their "boss" fairly often. Sadly she is a large woman who needs to lose some weight and it's her that should be making the long trek to and from the space docks and the senate tower.
  5. You are correct. Existing reusables will always be around. As higher and higher tiers of items come out, the raid will eventually grow tired of people hanging on to their old reusable and demand they start using the newer vastly superior, consumables.
  6. Like I said, sad day, but expected. I wasn't aware anyone needed further proof that Biochem was insanely powerful. Even Bioware said at the summit that (heavily paraphrased) "If you raid and don't have Biochem you're wasting your time on crewskills". I look forward to picking a new skill once the 1.2 notes go out since I didn't draw the short end of the stick and end up stuck with Biochem.
  7. Good news, your character will never be mentioned in lore beyond "the hero". Your race never described, your color choice of saber never stated. Your alignment most likely not even mentioned. If anything is referenced it will be "Master Satele, along with a team of 16 heroes defeated [big bad nemesis goes here]" Really wouldn't worry about it.
  8. You get no benefit from having a Sentinel and a Guardian. One will give you the class ability to use. More character slots are nice, but 16 is not in anyway required for the Legacy System. 8 will give you nearly everything you could get. I could see an argument for 9 since there are 9 races though.
  9. Sad day for Biochem, but expected. Oh well, the guild will shrink to one Biochemist now. The rest of us will be switching.
  10. I think you're freaking out over nothing if this vendor bothers you. According to the guild summit, most level 50s have less than 400k (although how they don't have millions is beyond me, dailies reward an insane amount of credits, there's no gold sink (even repair costs aren't THAT bad) so how are they stuck under 400k?). They can't afford to buy any of the good stuff.
  11. Gamers/nerds are easily organized. Every midnight release I've ever been to, every conn I've ever been to, when a line was needed, you'll never see one formed faster than by a group of gamers and nerds.
  12. If I were invited I would have. Since I'm not, I'm content to check the forums for updates every 30 mins or so while still making money without wasting vacation time.
  13. You're doing something wrong. Loot everything, sell everything that's not useful to you. If it's a blue item, put it on the GTN for the suggested price (or slightly lower incase someone else has done the same). You should never have issues with repair bills. Even at max level and raiding you shouldn't have issues since a level 50 can generate 200k credits a day with very little effort due to dailies.
  14. Would buy a shirt, but there's the whole "Every gamer shirt is black" already thing going on.... Maybe in a couple of weeks they'll offer different base colors, I doubt it though.
  15. There are a lot of crewskill changes coming in 1.2 (hopefully around the end of March) so that's pretty hard to say imo. Besides the three already mentioned, Biochem is also a decent profession that gives you reusable stims, adrenals, and medkits (although you can buy better stims, the Rakata stims will still save you significant amounts of cash if you're interested in raiding on your Gunslinger)
  16. This idea is of augment slots being added via a crafted item is about a thousand times better imo than simply forcing everyone who wants to min/max into crafted gear. Bioware, it's great for us to pick whatever gear we visually like, without being able to add an augment slot, we quickly lose a lot of options. All the raiding gear for example... Will interest nobody, that's a lot of the art team's time that is effectively wasted...
  17. Pretty much this. Datamined items/information should be taken with a grain of salt. Until the developers themselves mention it, you're only setting yourself up for disappointment when they decide to go in a completely other direction. Heck, even after developers mention it, until you're actively playing it, they could change their minds.
  18. Not exploiting at all. It's just a sign that... Gunnery Commandos are going to get nerfed (most likely answer) All other DPS are going to get buffed (3PO would give this a possibility of approximately 3720 to 1)
  19. I know it sounds rude, but pretty much this. Never release on a boss fight when the team has a good chance of killing it. Even if you can make it back before it's killed, never release.
  20. Bioware has said they're working on one. It will attempt to match you up with people on your server before matching you up to people on other servers. When will it be available? Who knows.
  21. Nice to meet you OldBen! I bought the CE and don't regret it, now you can no longer say that I love the art book. I love the statue (though I am encountering an issue of trying to figure out where to put all the statues I'm starting to collect now that they are the "in" thing for CE) I wouldn't go that far. You view it as a waste, others don't. I have more than enough cash that the $150 was viewed as worth it and I've enjoyed my purchase. That being said if it was anything like lighting my money on fire, I'd not have done it. I like my money. It lets me buy shiny things.
  22. Yes, further the claim that Bioware favors the Empire by giving the Republic stupid little ewoks. Everyone knows Jawa > Ewok. Bliz especially > Ewok. On my knight, I'd have to say goodbye to Scourge. He's just unamusing in every way. On my Trooper? Probably Taano. On my Bounty Hunter, I'd like to trade in everyone for numerous clones of Blizz. And Sith Warrior finally gets rid of Quinn.
  23. I love my Trooper, but not sure about Elara. Even after you get "through her shell" she still insist on filiing all the paperwork, crossing and dotting all the proper letters, submitting the forms in triplicate, etc. etc. Totally ruins the mood. I'm a fan of Kira for her "screw you" attitude towards the Council's backwards thinking on relationships (she clearly belongs in Luke's era where the Jedi aren't so afraid of showing a little affection) as well as Vette.
  24. Yes, players with knock backs can push you up there. I force pushed a consular friend up there, he pulled me up. Stupid balloon ride skipped. There's a couple of youtube videos of people with different knockbacks managing to pull it off. Some of the weaker knockbacks require very precise timing obviously (such as the height of the a jump).
  25. Server merges aren't likely to happen. At best players will be given a free transfer option and the player who's transferring will be the one who risks his name.
