  1. You have a point about the stuns and roots. In my opinion they last too long, and need to be toned down on all classes.

That said, Sage/Sorcerer does not need a so called bubble nerf. In fact, operative did not need a damage nerf. The just need to reduce all stuns from 4 seconds down to 2. Also, maybe make the cooldowns with all stuns (on all classes) a little longer.

  2. I don't know about the solution, but as to what caused the faction imbalance, you nailed it. Just like in other MMO's, the Bioware devs are oblivious to what players want, and also what they need. They basically destroyed their own game before the first line of code was written. It's not the guys that write the code. It's the project managers, or game designers who trashed this game. Maybe they had a solid background in single player games. It appears to me they never even played any MMO's.

Maybe one of the guys who wins MMO tournaments each year (if they exist) should've been on staff as a consultant. But, I don't think the head honcho at Bioware would've tolerated that.

  3. I've seen some cloaks and armor on my character, and other NPC's that are just terrible. WoW is old, but the color/graphics looked better. SWG was 8 years old, and the graphics looked better in some respects.

What I see looks like someone took an eraser and smudged the articles of clothing. I can't tell a difference between high rez and low rez.

  4. Wait, so you want everyone to play their rep alt on those days? Who will they pvp against then?:p

There is absolutely no way everyone, not even an extra 20% would do this. Your are missing the point. It would only balance out a little more on the days players choose to pvp with their republic alts.

  5. Monday, Wednesday, Friday, would be Imperial. Sunday is player choice. I'm sure that most players have opposite faction alts by now. The problem is not players who choose not to roll republic alts, it's that they choose to pvp with their Imperial characters. Why not just choose to pvp with your Republic alt on these days?

If enough players get behind this, it would be a player driven dynamic. Bioware would be out of the equation. That's the way MMO games are supposed to be anyway. While they twiddle their thumbs, players decide to set things aright. Kind of like the bushwackers or border-ruffians in Jose Wales.

  6. You don't spend a couple weeks of your life leveling a toon just to get your account banned. Who cares if they're noticed, as long as its stopped. You obviously don't care based off your comment, which is fine, to each their own, but why play a eSport if the opposition is going to cheat?

I don't like it either. You misunderstood. I'm not trivializing the deed. I'm just laughing at their stupidity. I mean these guys should be on the World's Dumbest Criminals.

  7. Everytime I see these videos I laugh. It's like the young hoodlum who beats up an old man and posts the video on Facebook. These guys just don't want to win. They want to be noticed. It's all about prestige in their twisted minds.
  8. They already did "fix" it with same faction warzones. It's like what happened in STO with Klingons.

Man, I didn't know they did that with Klingons. No wonder that game nose dived into the ground. All the best pvpers were Klingon. They face rolled Star Flleet all the time. They also got no love. STO really shorted them pretty bad on ships and content at launch. The devs at STO were to stupid to realize most players absolutely adored the whole Klingon mythos - honor and all that stuff.

  9. It didn't use to be that way. I don't remember that many players in WoW forums getting upset. I've yet to see one tea bagging incident in over 200 warzones, yet it happened all the time in SWG. Players just laughed it off. It was all part of great fun. Now players act like they want to appeal their defeats to the Supreme Court of PVP.
  10. They probably won't do anything.

What they should do is get rid of same-faction warzones and implement server faction population caps instead of server total population caps.

Your post had me thinking that what if they transferred those not in a guild to another equivalent server. For example from one east coast server to another. It doesn't matter to me, and I wouldn't object. No guild, or ties that I would miss. But still, that answer ducks the real problem. They need to incentivize not just people rolling republic toons, but make players want to pvp with those toons most of the time.

  11. So you were not aware that some Sith abilities activate quicker than their Jedi counterparts? Do you only play one side?

And in case you didn't read my post, I answered assuming both questions.

Bioware isn't going to force someone to play what they don't want to play. (population)

But they could fix the spell differences so that one wouldn't consider playing one faction over the other due to one being better than the other. (skills)

I'm aware of the very slight differences in mirror classes. But it's so minor I don't even give it a 2nd thought. Only the neurotic will dwell on something so trivial. I play Sorceror over Sage soley because of the cool animations. I would guess most others do too.

  12. No one would be asking for it to be nerfed, true story. Just look at how no one complains about snipers spamming their abilities...

Your kind of on the right track. The only reason I play sorceror is because I like the animations. Sage is essentially the same class, but he is left to wither on the vine. I will level my Sage to 50 probably in December, if I'm not playing another MMO by then.

  13. When you say Faction Imbalance, do you mean Population? Or Skill differences? Because Bioware isn't going to force people to play what they don't want to play, but they could fix the Skill differences so one might not be more willing to play one over the other based solely on one being better than the other.

Faction imbalance means there are a lot more imperials than republic. I thought everyone was aware of the disparity. It's why imps have to battle imps in huttball.

  14. if they did this,

every channaled attack, and attacks with activation times would have damage reduced so significantly its not even funny.

stop crying that people know how to use interrupts to stop you abilities and use more than 1 attack against people.

I am not crying about interrupts. I don't want anything else nerfed. As far a damage with channeled abilities and activation times, they could compensate. Do I think they'll ever do it? No. Still it's nice to know in a stand up comparison SWG's pvp was fantastic, except for the lag. Afterall it was 8 years old.

What I'm still curious about after 1 1/2 months, why doesn't someone from Bioware have a long term plan to address all the broken pvp elements? Isn't that what the dev tracker forum is for?

  15. Abilities with channels and activation times, are balanced around the need to channel or activate said ability. Removing those mechanics would fundamentally change those abilities and require them to be rebalanced around a different mechanic. This would essentially make most abilities the same, but perhaps button A would shoot blue lasers and button B would shoot red lasers. You could then alternate A and B to create your own psychedelic laser strobe. Perhaps this would increase your enjoyment of the game.

For the rest of us, I think it's fine.

SWG lasted 8 years. The only bad thing about their pvp was the lag. The only consistent nerf call in that game was people wanting a nerf to a spies stealth. But, that was like beating a dead horse, cause in all those years it never happened. There was a rotten egg element in that game too. The kind of players who looked for hacks (none I ever recall), and exploits (quite a few over the years). The rotten egg element was the kind of player who would ninja loot, and refuse to pay you after you sold them trading card game loot.
