  1. SWTOR is very similar to STO. I made Rear Admiral in 8 days, it was even easier than here. Plus, once you capped your level, there was nothing to do, but pvp. And pvp in that game was broken. I never stuck around to see if they pulled that out of the ditch.
  2. I believe he was the head dev at Star Wars Galaxies. This guy knows MMO's backwards and forwards. Plus, he can push out development under a draconian budget. He perfected PVP in SWG, added power to the classes, while keeping it balanced. The only really bad thing about SWG in the end were poor 2003 servers which caused some very bad lag in zones. SWG was a joy in the end. For the hard core gamer it was close to perfection. If you can't get him, cast your eyes upon the rest of the MMO world, and find some good talent. The lack of quality pvp in this game can spell its doom, just like it did with Star Trek Online. Players in that game couldn't hit the door quick enough. Also, remember SWG had 8 long years - a lifetime in an MMO.
  3. I've seen 10 times more game bugs post patch 1.1 than prior. Biggest bug is ability delays.
  4. More powerful abilities, or bolster the abilities each class has. On the flip side the flashpoints would have to be tougher. When it takes until the 2nd or 3rd day after a flashpoint is introduced, for any group to beat it, then they are on the right track.
  5. I hate it too. I've swore off huttball. I'll just log off as soon as I enter, unless I only need enough XP from huttball to reach the next level.
  6. I never said to take away stealth. I'm only saying you couldn't have both dire snare and stealth. You would have to choose between the two. Having both is like taking twins to the school prom. It's kind of excessive, and just a little perverse.
  7. How is this for grinding. It took me 1 1/2 years grinding holos 6 hours a day to get enough for my 6500 armor cloak. Some grinded less, some more, and some just paid out the nose for their sith 4/5 holo. This game is not even 2 months old, and all I read, is boo, hoo, hoo, let me have my uber gear RIGHT NOW!
  8. I know about it. It's one of those weak Bioware attempts at an ability. They need to add some pizzazz to the game.
  9. It would work. But, it would have to be for a limited time. It is an enormously man hour intensive thing to transfer characters to another faction, or server.
  10. Nah. It would be OK. At least it's a sure fire way to break stealth and mess up their day. Oh, forgot to mention, the smugglers and Imperial Agents couldn't have their cake and eat it too. If they picked dire snare, they would have to forfeit stealth. It could be arranged in the talent tree.
  11. In SWG bounty hunters had dire trap. It had a 45% chance to snare it's victim. When it activated it could not be dispelled by any means. Smugglers had dire snare fired from pistol. It had a 100% to snare it's victims, and couldn't be dispelled by any means. I propose that the bounty hunters and commandos have the dire trap, and imperial agents and smugglers have the dire snare. The way the dire trap worked you walked around and lay the traps. Opposite faction can't see them, but they can step in them. Let the QQing begin.
  12. A good way to stem the tide of faction imbalance. I don't want to go through all the trouble of re-rolling my mirror class. I would though switch my bounty hunter to commando. It's the one that I pvp with the most.
  13. Would this bolster the republic side? I've got 2 imperial characters I'd change factions with. I would change my bounty hunter to commando, and my sith marauder to jedi sentinel.
  14. That the other 70% or so, are just content hogs? I remember that one of the reasons Star Trek Online failed was a borked pvp game at launch. The Klingons were the equivalent of Imperials and they owned pvp. Plus Klingon content and ships was an after thought for the game devs. Do you see parallels with SWTOR?
  15. Let me get this straight. You want more content? What I want is pretty easy to accomplish. Content is expensive, and requires time.
  16. I agree with this post too. With me Bioware has until Guild Wars 2 is launched. If they don't fix it by then, I'm gone. I won't return either. I turned my back on Star Trek Online 6 weeks after launch. Failed game is a failed game.
  17. These two things have to be put on the fast track. 90% of my game time is in warzones. I pretty much refuse to do huttball. I want to queue for Alderaan (which is my favorite), and sometimes Voidstar. My server doesn't have enough republic players to play against. On Ilum the faction imbalance is causing problems too.
  18. Only way I'll go along, is if they add those 5 meters to mando and bounty hunter also.
  19. The few I see evidently know how to play their class. They seem more than adequate.
  20. Agreed. Bioware has been sitting on their hands too much. I can't believe they didn't hire somebody away from other companies who had a solid background in pvp.
  21. In my case there is a dichotomy. On one hand their are a lot of players around the kiosk at the fleet. On the other, 9 times out of 10 when I queue for a warzone it's imp vs. imp huttball.
