  1. Agree with OP, and force using classes should only be unlocked using legacy system. Current state of game is beyond travesty.
  2. Already cancelled, so i'm going with no. I expect much more from bioware due to their excellent single player reputation and the star wars franchise deserves a real world with real risk and reward. They made this game for the money, not for the players. If they made it for the players it would be EvE + Darkfall.
  3. OP is right though, in WoW, the first time you walked into major cities it came with an awe stuck feeling. I believe this belongs under the SWTOR has no soul post.
  4. Snipers need extended range, 5 extra meters for a sniper rifle is laughable. Also increase their cooldowns to compensate.
  5. From an inside source I cannot name, there will be no war hero gear, or gear modifications other than what has already been stated for 1.2, however, you all have to look forward to the "pets" selection on the GTN, soon we will have mini pandas.
  6. Love is blind. Eventually you will see the light. When you do, I would personally appreciate it if you made a post here saying something along the lines of "yeah, Geewiz was right, I was just mezzed"
  7. Bioware (at least in this game) fails at top tier ANYTHING.... expect maybe voice acting, but even that is debatable. If this was not a star wars game, and didnt have the bioware name to hype it up, it would already be on its death bed talking gibberish. Top tier pvp... nope Top tier pve.... nope Top tier graphics... nope Top tier gameplay... nope Top tier space experience... nope Top tier customer service... nope The selling points are star wars and bioware names.... thats it, end of report.
  8. If any f you space gurus have not tried eve oneline, i seriously suggest you try it. It is infititly more rewarding that SWTOR in in its current state. SWTOR could learn A LOT from eve, even though it has a steep learning curve. SW fans are up to the task, many of them are fanatics. TOR could have been so much more then a wow clone... it could have been a next gen mmo... it baffles me why with did not incorporate sandbox elements. Im sure the carebears would cry, but even if you just made the SWTOR combat as if it was in eve 1.0 space, it would be soooo much better. The complexity would be there, there would be something to do post 50.... Bioware. you disappoint me with classics such as NWN, jade empire, the mass effect series, and countless others. Why does SWTOR become a boring game post 50? Do something.
  9. Bioware, im sure you have made your money back... and the best idea to continue making money is to wow-clone/theme park. I think a blend of the two would be best for all parties involved. Eve is a super complex space sim, there is soooo much you could do with an eve backbone for space combat, and keep your themepark planetary stuff. Granted, eve has like 30-60k players at any given time, but anybody who puts the time and effort into learning the game is rewarded so much more than what we have now in SWTOR. With the star wars name, that number of subscriptions would be exponentially higher. Imagine being able to fly different ships, all the complexity of eve combat, with risk versus reward vs carebear "oh i died i have to repair my gear". I had such high hopes for this game, the genre crossing game it could become, something new.... but it turned out to be a buggy wow clone. You got your money, but think of the player, and the genre in general. What do you want to be known for....innovation or copying what gets the most subscriptions. (i hope that isnt a retorical question in light of the stagnation of PC gaming lately.)
  10. I really wish swtor had combined the sandbox elements of swg into their wow clone. Imagine having a galaxy in the star wars universe that worked like EVE, along with the WoW type gameplay you see on planets. The economy would be sandbox, making everything useful... it just stupifies me why they didnt do this. Get the players with the WoW clone game play and SW lore, keep them playing with the complexity of the EVE universe.
  11. EVE is a great game no doubt about it, but I've played it to death. I think it would be really cool if star wars tor space combat became as complex as eve, with all the risk/reward along with it. Wouldn't you rather have a real galaxy in the SW universe, other than point and go as it is now with a single player rail shooter minigame tacked on?
  12. First of all, you guys need to innovate, instead of copying from other games. Why not introduce some sandbox elements so a player can have real power instead of just "look at me im a battlemaster" PVP- balance the classes, there is plenty of feedback on this elsewhere. Armor design, terrible.... the end game armor does not look like star wars, it looks like terminator/ninja. The theme park style mmo may make more money, but if this company and others refuse to be creative, and just copy what has worked in the past, gaming is going to stagnate. Graphics are getting to the point where they can be photorealistic, so what you need to do is make the game FUN. Every ability should be unique and fun. The mirrored classes is a terrible design. It is not star wars. Sith use force lightning... jedi absorb it in their sabers (or hands if you are yoda). The way things are going now, all i see happening is extra fluff features being added, level cap eventually raised, new content... but its the same thing really. You are doing the same thing you did before, just to get a new rank of gear. Take a note from ultima online before they decided to split the world into 2 shards. (darkfall to a lesser extent) There are sheep, and there are wolves, the wolves need to feed. What you need to do, is come up with a way to keep a steady stream of sheep. UO was the best online game ever. This game has pretty much 0 grief potential. Characters should not be able to walk through one another, give people real power, its what everyone wants, why else level up. Your raid content is currently a joke, i suspect you will fix that though. The real take away here, is you need to come up with a way to blend the theme park style mmo with the sandbox mmo, and it wont be easy, quick, or cheap. Give the player the ability to effect the experience of other players even if they protest.
  13. The grind to 50 was pretty cool, if you listenedto the story, but after that, its just treadmill. This games lack features that games made 10 years ago discovered were beneficial. The patches are terrible, they break more than they fix. PVP is unbalanced, not fun, and buggy. Itemization is terrible, including the visual aspect of the pvp/raid armors... whoever came up with those should be fired on the spot, and their family should go hungry. Most of all, im not having fun. Ive leveled a 50, decked him out in champ/columi, there is nothing more for me to do. I tried leveling an alt, but its just SSDD. This game (and this genre as a whole) need to INNOVATE. Stop cloning WoW's success. Im sure you made your money back selling pre orders and everything, but think of the players. Bioware used to be one of the top 3 game producers out there. I have lost quite a bit of respect for them. The name no longer means quality. And for the cheeky, no... you cant have my stuff. Wasnt that a cool story bro?
  14. I think the OP is saying all spells should have a unique cooldown, so that some spells could be made instant, dps spells would still have a cooldown. It would add alot to the game, tons of extra strategy to combat, and other games have it and it works better.
  15. I think another part of it is the flamethrower (one of my hardest hitting abilities) is very hard to use on some jumping around you in circles. Pretty much only useful on crowds or people who can't move.
