  1. This game is too flawed to support open world PVP. It doesn't appear the engine will support it. It was intended, which is why they have pvp servers, but Bioware failed. So they hush hush about it and advertise 1.2 with RATED Warzones that you have to be in a premade group. Woohoo. Enough said.
  2. Dont know how he pulled those numbers other than he had pocket healers. I also really highly doubt he is that high on the tank tree. I have a tank assasin and my damage is no where even close and judging by the amount of protection he was being healed. Ive seen assasin pull close to those dps numbers, but i know they were not very high on the tank tree because of how they are played and their rotation. I do believe though guard should only be limited to the tank tree and not for the dps tree as well.

    Most the warzone im in usually the team that is well balanced wins. DPS, Heals, Tanks, whether it be ranged or not. Usually if they are just pure DPS, Pure Heals or Pure Tanks they normally lose. I know one thing if I go into a warzone and if we lacking heals it doesnt matter what range dps I have, the chances are Im going to lose. Need tanks to protect people, especially protect the healers to keep healing others besides themselves. DPS to burst people down. Going aganist a bunch of range DPS, they not very good dps if a tank pulls them in and is harassing them. Range DPS isnt much dps if they are taken out of their element.
  5. Yea, I loved the mass pvp epic fights we had for forts in the abyss in Aion. It was insane especially when they did the server merge. OMG I dont think I saw so much red in my life. LOL. But the thing is people seem to think here on some of the post they automatically see open world PVP as 100 vs 20 or so forth. It is also about 1v1, 2v2, 6 vs 8, etc. The only times it was such huge numbers in Aion at least for a while was during fort sieges. People would cry and try to inspire their faction to fight. Here their is none of that. I remember getting ganked in low level areas and then I would get some friends to hunt that ganker down. It was fun. It wasn't all about questing or WZ (Dredge) it was also about coming across something unexpected. But, yea WOW PVE Crybabies ruined that game. So when SWTOR came up with a concept of different servers one for PVP and one for non PVP I choosed PVP, thinking I dont mind getting ganked, I want to get away from the carebears in PVP and now find that the PVP servers in SWTOR dont have PVP.
  6. People would kick if some think they are cheating when they are not. More so, people automatically assume they are the best and then find that somebody beat them. Oh they must have cheated because I'm the best or I never heard of this guy, he is not on my friends list and I know all the top players, and then here goes the oh this guy is a cheat rant. People are always going to find a way to cheat or exploit. Nothing will ever truely fix this. However, I bet you more people get accused of cheating then their actually are cheaters.

    I wish the devs instead of listening to a selective few in a forum actually take suggestions and at that point put some kind of poll with ALL people who have an active account and ask is this what they want? Maybe, if its split then have two type of servers. I'm thinking if they did a poll with the topic of gear progression vs giving gear to everyone with no effort the server with gear progression would feel more like a true MMORPG and would last longer. The people that want gear with no effort are arcade style players. I'm not saying that is bad, but SWTOR is not an arcade style game. If it becomes that, it won't last very long. Hmm, let me see, which would I rather play where its PVP and no gear progression. Battlefield, Call of Duty, Unreal tournament, Halo or this??? Just saying....
  8. I agree with you I don't know, but when I think of a MMORPG game i think of gear progression, building your character over time, and story. I think of doing quest, defeating bosses, defeating other players as building your character. I think of putting in work to get something out. Having all gear giving to you so fast almost seems like why even have gear in the game to begin with? If I want to play a game where character building is not important and just play an arcade style PVP I would play Battlefield, Call of Duty , etc. where there is no character building and its just play the objectives and kill the opposing team etc.
  9. GW2 suppose to come out in June right? As soon as 1.2 goes live im quiting and just want to know how long until I get to play hopefully a good open world pvp MMORPG.
  10. Yea, I quit playing Aion to play this because Aion started basically giving gear away with very little effort. The thing is Aion been out for 2+ years and this game is only been out since December and they already at the point of just giving away gear for no effort. This game has no world pvp at all and it looks like the only pvp is warzones, which isn't even faction vs faction. SWTOR has PVP servers. I have to ask but why? What is the difference betwwen a pvp server and a non pvp server? This game has potential, but sadly I don't think it will ever get there. I could understand the PVE servers had no open world pvp, but why does the so called pvp severs have no point to pvp in open world? That just doesnt make sense. This game should feel more like Star Wars. Republic vs Empire. Sadly it doesn't and doesn't look like their are any plans to make it feel that way. Oh btw if I want to play Hutt ball a bunch of times I would rather play John Madden Football. I don't consider Hutt Ball PVP.
  11. Anybody play Aion? Open world PVP had at times 100 vs 100 during fortress battles. They starting nerfing areas that open pvp took place because pve players were complaining about ganking. Well SWTOR has PVP dedicated servers. What is the point of joining a PVP dedicated server over a PVE or RP server in this game when their is no point to PVP? When I think of Star Wars I think of Republic against the Empire. However, their seems to be less and less of this in this game and now the warzones will include faction vs faction more so they dont have hutt ball 80% of the time. Open world PVP would be good for this game. At least it will feel more like one faction against another. At this point I'm not even sure why their are two factions in this game. With Ilum totally useless now, not that it was that great considering it was such a small open zone pvp area, and no point to pvp in open zones at all even on PVP servers it just feels completely pointless to be two factions.
  12. Is their a way to keep the camera angle at max distance or a set distance. It is annoying in pvp when I get knock around to have to keep manually adjusting camera distance. Is their a way to set it to always take you to max distance you have it set in pref? I've seen videos with ppl pvp and their camera angle distance seems to never change despite turing around getting knock over etc.
  13. I love how he made a comparison and stated concealment operative burst with assasin tank spec burst equal. Yea, there was no point of reading anymore after that point. I dont think i have ever seen someone in this forum said oh man this tank assasin came out of stealth and stun lock me to death before I was able to do anything.
  14. I have never let my armor durability drop to 0. So I was wondering if it goes to 0 can it still be repaired or is the gear unrepairable at that point and useless?
  15. Im just curious ive seen several post here saying a healer shouldn't be able to be killed 1v1 and that if the dps cant kill the healer the healer cant kill the DPS. How can't the healer kill the DPS. DPS doesn't have infinite HP like a Healer would (if they keep healing themselves). So even if they do a little DPS eventually the healer would win won't they? Probably was a noob question, but I don't play healer so im just trying to get a better understanding.
