  1. What? I sound Positive? Oh the horror Tony. The Horror. Thankfully I was never looking for a messiah game! I mean, that would be ridiculous. However. I mean there is some advice to be taken here. Don't post if they annoy you, don't acknowledged them. You're only going to frustrate yourself. Just post your ideas to make SWTOR better, or voice your concerns, partake in discussion. But if someone says something that bugs you, block them and just move on. I can't really give you any further advice. Some people are just positive, about SWTOR, and about games to come. For one reason or another. If they feel it's relevant, they're going to bring it up.
  2. I think a little droid delivering your mail would be awesome. Drifts down, lets you read your messages, pick up stuff it's delivering. Would have been very convenient and in theme for the game where droids do Everything for you.
  3. I don't think anyone should ever take pleasure in others disappointment. I can't wait for these games to be released too, it'll be good to have some new blood in the MMO market, games that try to do things differently. Even if they don't work out great, the ideas will be there and can be improved upon to make some better, more unique games in the future. Got a long set of years left in life to see what comes next barring sudden death. People are Very finicky, and that's always gonna happen. However, if something turns out positive isn't that enough reason to be happy? I think so.
  4. Logical is kind of right. In that, I mean - he's right. You may not agree but, he's right.
  5. Let me know when that six month mark hits and the ability delay is still here.
  6. It does sound interesting. I just can't get over the female armor designs. It's so ridiculous it borders on the obscene and obviously designed for the repressed teenager or crazy otaku.
  7. I wonder if people will still say this when it's like: LMAO-- the thing has been out for... what? Four months? *Almost*? LMAO-- the thing has been out for... what? Six months? *Almost*? LMAO-- the thing has been out for... what? A year? *Almost*? They're working on it.
  8. This is a severe disconnect with what's okay and what isn't okay. It's only okay to accept that the next company will give us the same candy that we've been given for years, in the MMO market? How about we stop tolerating that eh?
  9. That isn't what happened. He means the delay between using the instant sage knockback, and it actually happening due to them levitating and then firing it off.
  10. I feel this video is exactly representative of SWTOR player's as they start - and as they reach 50. The realization based on this fact, and then when they are told to roll an alt as viable end game. It also represents the grind in exactly what it is. SWTOR has grind, very much so. You just don't find it until you hit a wall of it. http://comedians.jokes.com/rondell-sheridan/videos/rondell-sheridan---baccarat-bust It's pretty funny! Edit: Not the dumb add..It didn't play when I first watched it and realized what I was looking at.
  11. The key difference is that the negative's exist, and any future positives are just speculation at best. Things can change, rapidly. It's best to predict nothing and just wait for time to tell. Nothing else. Just because other people do things, doesn't mean we have to mock them and do what they do to somehow prove a silly point about it being pointless. If it's pointless, don't emulate it even in a mocking sense.
  12. Okay I can help you with this. Any key on your keyboard theoretically can be bound to any ability that the game allows you to place in a hot bar. You only need WASD as keys to move your character, and you can hold Right Click on your mouse to turn. 1-5 are reallistically your only keys that are in reach of your fingers on that row. F1-F4 are above that but reachable. You can then bind Q E Z X C V R T F G. Those are all within reach. If you buy a mouse that has multipul buttons on the side like a razer naga or a logitech g700, that gives you even more buttons. 4 on the thumb area, and 3 on the index finger, and 3 on the mouse wheel. Down click on the mouse wheel, push wheel left and push wheel right. Its a feature on the G700. This may sound intimidating, but it isn't. Put your hand on the keyboard and see that you can quickly reach all of those keys. When your mapping them, make sure the closest ones together correspond to abilities you use in succession. For example: Q E X (Q: DPS Cooldown 1, E: DPS cooldown 2, X: DPS Cooldown 3, or defensive, or even abilities with a timer that are shorter than say 45 seconds.) I keep my pvp break out on C, because it's easy to hit and find for my hand. You can also bind keys with Shift or Alt, DOUBLING again the amount of binds you have. I find that ALT is better than SHIFT because your thumb on the space bar is RIGHT next to it. Easier than bending your pinky. For your medpack question - if you bind an empty slot on your hotbars to "X", and put your stack of medkits on that slot, pressing x will use one, and when the cd is up you can press it again and use another. When you bind keys to one character - in SWTOR they do Not carry over. Your keybinds are completely custom for every character. PLEASE keep asking questions! It's the best way to learn!
  13. Quick! Use all the buzzwords that I don't understand!
  14. Being a casual isn't a race. Don't..that's just ridiculous. Wow.
  15. GW2 probably won't do too much to sub counts. The game isn't designed to steal subs away. It's B2P. If people want to close their MMO subs and play it full time they can, but they don't have to considering they won't be spending money on it, but for what they choose. Their intention isn't to "crush" or "kill" mmos. They just want to make a fun game.
  16. That's a much more reasonable and perfectly acceptable answer. "I don't care, haven't looked." Isn't. Ignoring information for No reason is just a terrible thing. If you don't want fantasy, that's a-okay. Also no. I do not get payed.
  17. The sake of pvp you mean? Correct. GW2 will feature an open persistent entirely PVE based world to experience the story, classes, and skills. PVP will feature competitive structured matches where all skills do not do the same things they do in PVE, thus making adjustments to them not reflect on one another nearly as much, if at all. EverQuest 2 did this pretty well. World PVP will be handled by WvWvW, 3 servers matched against one another, every 2 weeks that you brawl it out in a massive area with controllable keeps trying to push the other servers back to their home area. Again, skills will function differently here.
  18. It's just a tactic people use when they feel threatened by the conversation at hand. It shows people discussing instead of playing, and if they're not playing they must not like the game, if they don't like the game than they unsubbed, if they unsubbed numbers are dropping, if numbers are dropping OH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD THE GAME IS DYING! This link is perfect to describe how people view posters/trolls on the forums and how they feel it's going to go next. A scene from "Troll 2"
  19. Man, I can't turn down this quest. I literally can use ALL of those rewards! I also only need 2 more community commendations to buy that speeder I've been eying.
  20. This is incorrect. GW1 and GW2 are completely different games. They are designed completely differently. The world and story are all that persist. Everything else is completely different. Therefore judging 2 based on 1, is pointless. Research would have told you this.
  21. How can you know you're not interested in something without looking into it first? It's like saying "I don't like ice cream." Without ever having tasted ice cream in the 1st place. Granted you may not like some Flavors of ice cream, but it's foolish to just toss something aside as uninteresting or no good unless you've looked into it yourself, through research or actually trying it. Naturally there are exceptions such as drugs but, that should be obvious. I wasn't interested in it at all myself actually until I played SWTOR, it taught me a good lesson, look into things before you shrug them off. You could be missing out on something great. SWTOR made me realize just how done I personally was with grinding gear to kill players to grind more gear, or grinding gear to kill monsters to grind more gear. Just seems pointless now, really. I'd rather play a game that's about the game, and not the loot, even if it's covered up with a story - in the end, it's all about the loot. It may not be about the loot FOR YOU, so to say. But that's still the absolute undeniable focus of the system they have in place for level 50 players. Check it out, it might surprise you. You might like ice cream.
  22. If your account has time on it, you can post. My account expires on the 18th and I have unsubbed. So, I can still post until the 18th.
