  1. No one cares. Just leave already. Thanks for adding an unneeded thread to an already over cluttered forum.
  2. Word of advice. Change your font color. People associate red with anger and yelling. You'll get nicer replies if you change to green or something else that looks soothing. As for the thread. I didn't buy it. I took one of my toons to the kiosk and when I previewed the changes I just never felt right. Maybe if I plan on leveling any more toons but IMO the Cather don't fit on the imp side well.
  3. The difference in gear for pve is that without a gear grind or something similar, there is zero reason to continue beating bosses. Imagine mmo's trying to keep subs when players only have to beat a boss once. Whereas in pvp, unless you are number 1 and nobody equals your skill, there is always competition from other players and each pvp match plays out differently. Stop being mad that you aren't as good as you thought you were without a gear advantage. (A problem loads of pvp'ers actually have.) Also, you're trying to apply the same mechanic to two different gameplay styles. It's not working.
  4. Was just thinking this exact idea for the cm. some examples I thought of. Mercs missles with different trail effects or different types of explosions. Sorcs with diff color lightning. Ops with different skins on probes. Different color heals. Maybe lightsaber effects for jugs and maras. I'd pay for stuff like this.
  5. I don't get people saying that they should take focus off the cm and put it towards actual content. You realize that if they took the teams off cm they would be fired an it would still be the same number o people workin on content.
  6. Sigh. Pvp should come down to skill not stats which is what the bolster system is for. I'm sorry you can't curb stomp new pvp ers anymore but maybe you should work on being better. Edit: some of the best pvp games are the ones where each player starts on a level playing field. Sc2, lol, dota. A skilled player will still beat a noob but at least the noob has a chance.
  7. anybody else wonder why he needs 10 other people for a raid? It's either 7 or 15. Makes me wonder how much he actually plays. could have been a slip of the tongue but its what caught my eye in a post full of whine.
  8. Subs do have a way of earning cc in game. It's called having a sub and getting at least 500 a month. There are 0 other games that allow you to earn their market currency in game. Gw2 is the only one I can think of but the gems don't come out of thin air. People have to buy them in order to sell them so gw2 isn't losing anything. And that is no different than being able to buy cm items off the gtn.
  9. You kinda hit the nail on the head there. Impatient people will pay to get the rename now. I'm under the assumption that the free rename will come when a new pack is announced. The new packs will likely contain rare items like renames and appearance tokens that can be traded on the gtn. They just want to wait until the money from impatient people slows down. IMO more power to bioware. I don't mind waiting cuz I took the time to make my toons exactly how I want them. And the little bit I wanted to change I had more than enough cc's to do it.
  10. I think a voucher system is in the works and we'll see it in probably 2-3 packs. Bioware wants to make money off the people who want to change now and releasing those vouchers now would cost them.
  11. Don't stand in aoe's! It's not hard, and it's usually a mechanic that is in every single boss fight. I can't count the number of times I've gone to a fight and people died because they don't move out of the red circle. How can people repeatedly forget that fire=bad? I should never have to explain to a raid to not stand in something. It should be common knowledge. It's even worse when I do mention before a fight to not stand in them and the people STILL DO IT. *end random rant* Hopefully someone reads this and a light bulb clicks on.
  12. I love the fact that people are complaining like they are being forced to use the cartel market. I mean, how are you going to get mad at something that until today you didn't even have access to? Oooh. My favorite quotes today are from the people unsubbing because of today's patch. When did this patch change the gameplay? The game is still played exactly the same as yesterday, just now you have some extra options that you could take advantage of.
  13. They only thing they've said and probably where you're getting confused is they said that when changing to Cather the price (for the unlock)would be included in the cost to change. They never said anything about free race change. This is why bioware doesn't talk more with the community. We keep taking every word they give us and putting our own spin on it.
  14. Quesh is actually the place where the difficulty doesn't seem to match current levels. I've noticed this everytime I leveled through. The mobs are just a little bit tougher than you are used to. By this time, you should have developed a good rotation of skills. If your lower than the expected level, you might need to take some time to do space missions, pvp, or something to level up. Also, you mention multiple builds which doesn't make much sense. So a little tip is make sure you're only putting skills in one tree til it's maxed out at the top. Also, running with a healer comp usually helps.
  15. Except for the fact that you don't have to pay anymore than your normal sub price. That's what I'm getting at. If you want something now, you have to pay for more cartel coins. If you wait, you could eventually get the most expensive CM item for free. It all comes down to how valuable you view your time in relation to your money. It's simple economics.
  16. After testing, the primary color on the chest does not match after using a secondary dye module. Using a primary dye in preview(out of mats to make, so can't test) is also causing the same problem in reverse. I'm thinking what another poster said that when the dye gets added to the armor it overrides the original color scheme in unify, causing there to be no color code to use. When looking at the armor after applying, the text says [ no color l (orange)(orange) ] How something like this made it past the testing phase is confusing. I was able to test this in about 15 minutes and it only took that long because i had to craft.
  17. Is this only happening when previewing the secondary colors? Or is this happening after actually dying the armor? From the pics it looks like you are in the preview screen. Is there anyone who would be willing to test what the actual result would be? If that is the case, I assume that when previewing the dye, it's not applying to the chest only, it's applying to every piece. edit: crafting some dyes to test my theory
  18. Or they can wait another month for their cc's to reload. That's the way the world works. If you want something now you have to pay for it. Think of shipping companies. You pay a minimum to ship, if you want your item faster you have to pay an extra price. Either way your item gets there. Also you bring up your 55 gunslinger. Here's the kicker. Your gunslinger will play the same whether you change their appearance or not. There is no need to change and the only reason you'd want to is personal preference. If you didn't realize that by level 20 you didn't like his looks that's your fault and you should pay a premium to change. If you don't want to pay your other option is to roll a new toon. Either way you'll eventually get the toon you want it just depends on how fast you want it done.
  19. I just love the fact that even though we didn't even have the options to do any changes before today there are already people that feel entitled to more. You got this far with out changing your toon. You don't have to change anything. It's a cosmetic feature that adds nothing to the game. It's no different than buying armor off the cm or even buying skins in lol. And honestly, I expect that they'll add items in new packs that can be sold on the gtn.
  20. I think it would be neat if the top 10% could be recognized while everyone else has a private rating. But as many others have said , the potential for abuse outweighs any advantages it would gain.
  21. Black talon Esseles Foundry Maelstrom Boarding party Repub equivalent of boarding party(can't remember name) Bol False emperor Directive 7 Lost island The rakghoul one(can't remember name) Cadmandu Athiss Mando raiders Hammer station Collicoid Red reaper Eternity vault Karagas palace Explosive conflict Terror Scum and villainy That's a pretty good list of fp's and ops. Most have multiple difficulties. I can't speak for others but I'm happy with what we've got. And I'm pretty sure I left one out. Also, there are a lot of people that haven't beaten half of those.
  22. Too bad no game can balance classes/characters. Seriously. Get over it. Look at every game there is and you will find people crying about class imbalance. The only way to completly stop it is to have only one class and everyone playing the same. Even then people would still find ways to complain. Now. Do what all the good players do and learn to beat whatever the fotm is. Ps. If you were paying attention tm spam has been around since the begining. It's something bad mercs/commandos do and if you can't beat it you should reevaluate pvping.
  23. I say ap is the way to go for leveling after lvl 35 or so. Less heat issues than pyro and immolate, the top skill is one of my favorite ability animations. If you want be be almost invincible and don't care about dmg output. Shield tech with mako means you practically never die.
  24. If I play my arsenal merc in pvp, I realize that my abilities allow me to be an amazing support nuker class. I try my hardest to make sure I'm never alone so I don't end up in 1v1 situations. Mercs can and are destroyed in that scenario. Just make sure you're playing your class the best you can and you'll rarely run into problems.
