  1. If it's the story that interests you, the order is Directive 7->Ilum Planetary Quest->Battle of Ilum->False Emperor->Kaon Under Siege->Lost Island->[Lv. 55]CZ-198 Planetary Quest->Czerka Corporate Labs-> Czerka Core Meltdown I included the planetary quests because if you're interested in the story, you'll want to do them before their following flashpoint, because they set up the scenarios. Edit: Also, in terms of story order, if you're already on Makeb, then you're already out of order with the story if you haven't completed D7->Lost Island yet.
  2. I mean, isn't that how you should feel though? The Jedi Knight is the ultimate hero, saving the galaxy is all in a day's work. If you wanted a campaign with a bit more intrigue and intelligence, shoulda checked out the Agent.
  3. Seems to be a lot of staff response on this thread. I wonder if anybody can provide an answer for this: Is it worth running a lot of Space missions before this launches to hone my skills? I've been doing that a bit for the last week because I'm really looking forward to this new Expansion, but I wonder if the system will be so different since it's free flight that running the current space missions for practice won't really be that helpful.
  4. I'm glad someone is not afraid to admit it. I played a lot of space battles when I started over a year ago, then stopped for a while, but recently picked it back up after GS was announced. They are really a lot of fun, and I find the Heroic ones very challenging. I've been working on my fleet rep and space rewards lately. Your ideas for expanding on space are pretty cool. I hope the goal for this and all elements of the game is eventually finding ways to move more seamlessly between them. The easier it is to move between space, PvE, PvP, exploration, crafting , the more integrated the experience, the better. I have high hopes for the future as well.
  5. I'd like to see an expansion that revolved around large scale expansions and improvements in already existing areas and mechanics of the game instead of adding a lot of new places. For example, let's make use of some of the environments we have to add new content: -Denova has an Operation and a Warzone: Let's give it a questing area too; dailies a la Oricon with a minor story built in. -Quesh is a small planet with a short story: Let's expand the map with a new lv. 55+ story area, and maybe a new flashpoint or two. Seems like a good environment for that given the seedy Hutt centric story we've had lately. -Coruscant and Dromund Kass are PvE/Faction exclusive worlds, but everybody always talks about how they wish they could attack the enemy faction's home planet: Let's put one new PvP Space environment over each of those, and add a PvPvE area to each surface where both factions can land and battle it out. Point is, I want an expansion that builds the game up, that adds to what the game already offers instead of trying to tack on more stuff. And I want an expansion that remembers we're playing Star WARS. This is a game about war, we should be warring with each other in a meaningful way. PvPing deserves a story, it deserves a well designed reward system for OPvP. PvE deserves more than a bunch of people whacking at a monster with glowsticks and nerf guns.
  6. Great input, thanks. I think instead of new classes, I'd like to see advanced factions. So many of the classes end on a note where you can be like "screw the establishment, I'm gonna do what I want" so why not work with that. Have advanced or subfactions that you can join that have certain rewards or something. I've heard so many people say things like "Why can't I join the Dread Masters?" Why couldn't we have joined Malgus' Empire?" So yeah, let's have some sub factions or advanced factions that are meaningful. There are certainly plenty of factions in the game. Why don't we make them more than just things we interact with to get special gear?
  7. I like this thread first of all. +1 I like a ton of stuff about SWTOR: #1 Story/Universe/Lore: It doesn't matter if you like or don't like the story, bottom line is this game has an incredibly deep and multi-faceted story. It can be very predictable, and incredibly surprising. The lore and universe expand beyond the game and I don't think I will ever stop enjoying the work and attention that was put in to this epic expansion pack for the Star Wars universe as a whole. I would like to see the story of the war continue, and I'm looking forward to the moment when the Empire Strikes Back. I think new planets would be welcome, but I would also really enjoy seeing expansions upon existing ground environments. Some quests already bring high level players back to old planets, why not add entire level 55 endgame areas to some more of these places. After all, . #2 Infinite potential: Well, you could probably say this about most MMOs. This game is still young (not yet 2yo) and since launch it has evolved to be a very different and enjoyable creature. The devs continually put out new content and fine tune existing content, and I look forward to seeing what the future will bring. As long as I'm dreaming, I'd like to see more randomization in the game in terms of mobs/environments. Random dungeons would be a cool thing to add to really test players on the basis of teamwork, instead of just their ability to memorize a scenario. #3 Gear/Customization: Keep new stuff coming. I don't care if it has to be from the Cartel Market or whatever, as long as I can get it somehow it's awesome. The collections system is great and with every pack and new reputation faction there is cool new stuff to fiddle around with. The dyes helped a lot. every day I see some piece of gear that I'm like "I'd like to add that to my PvE set" or whatever. I'd like to see "Collections" expanded to include things that aren't part of the Cartel Market. I've been collecting gear since launch, and it would be cool to have some of those orange pieces that I picked up in Flashpoints or from quests to show up in my collection screen also. There are a lot of other things I like about SWTOR, and very few things I don't. I didn't touch on mechanics because obviously, since I've been around since launch, I'm happy about the way the game plays. My final thought is, always expand the ability of the player to customize, and show off their customization.
  8. I love SWTOR, but I've hit something of a wall. Due to my work schedule, I play at odd hours on weekdays only, which pretty much means that my ability to progress past endgame dailies, flashpoints and unranked PvP is limited. I haven't run an operation in months But, I'm hoping I'm not alone. My play hours are (ET): Mon-Wed: 8:00 am - 1:00 pm, Thur and Fri: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm The fleet still seems to have a decent amount (80-100) of people on at these times, so I know I'm not the only one with a weird schedule. If you are in a guild that happens to have a play group that runs content at weird hours like that, I'd love to know if you'd take on a new player (lv. 55 Vanguard tank, basic, slowly moving towards elite gear). If you are, like me, a guildless loner whose lot in life seems to be endless daily grinding due to a frustrating work/life schedule, and you're interested in putting a guild together to run group content, post a response here, and lets see if we can fix our collective problem.
  9. Hadn't checked in on this thread in a while. Disappointed that it didn't get the attention I thought it would, but maybe it's not something a lot of people are into. I like your ideas Sev, especially the skins on probes. That's a good one. Still got my fingers crossed for this some time in the future.
  10. Yeah except for those you need a "toy" to do it with. What I was suggesting was an equipable skin. Wouldn't it be nicer to pick your favorite one of those and just snap it onto your class recharge ability so that you didn't have to waste that slot in your inventory. Also with equipable skins, you could have a different class' recharge. Wouldn't it be cool for the sake of customization to have your Dark Side Consular seethe or channel rage or whatever it's called?
  11. Tried this before to no avail, but I thought I'd give it another shot. I've had this final mission in the Shroud quest line sitting in my log forever, and I want to clear it out. I'm hoping there are a few people in the same boat, or people with alts that are on this quest too, so we can group up and finish it. I'd love to get it done sometime on Thursday 8/8 - Sunday 8/11, but I'm willing to push it back as long as I need to to get it done. I can be free to run it at any point on Thursday or Friday, or between 6 and 12 pm (ET) Saturday and Sunday. We'll need a healer and 2 DPS. Please let me know your role, and what time you can run it so we can start locking things into place ASAP. I'll edit the OP to reflect who's coming. Must be 55, Republic, with at least some Basic gear. Post or PM me your toon's name so I can find you in game. Tank: Axe_faktor (Ben-Jen - VGD) Healer: DPS: DPS:
  12. ^This. Why only Daily plays and weekly wins? Why not a second weekly that's like 20 plays and a second daily that's 1 or 2 wins. Also, what about a stat daily/weekly? "Get over [number that I'm afraid to write out because someone will be like "pssh that's nothing n00b you suck"] points of Defense/Heal/DPS in one match." In regards to the OP, the only way I'd be OK with a whole new gear tier is if they really did add some more daily weekly quests. Otherwise keeping the rating barrier for cool skins is fine by me. I've never done rateds, so why should I get access so the same things they do? The other thing that I'd hate about a new gear tier is it would probably mean free Partisan gear sets at lv 55 were right around the corner.
  13. Stealing cars, hacking and creating bugs, being a sadistic psychiatrist and the other things you mentioned are not acceptable comparisons in the way you're trying to use them. You're talking about violating laws and trying to break systems and exploit people. I'm talking about working within the system, following the rules, and treating people the way I expect to be treated. I never said it was nice. But nowhere in the rules does it say you have to be nice. It just says you're not allowed to break the rules.
