  1. You're right. Or should I say, WAS right. I thought the same exact thing, and then I played RIFT. That game was more polished in it's Open Beta than this game is 2 months after launch. They also hotfixed much more often, and much faster than BW. Servers would go down for 15 minutes to fix critical issues - not 4-8 hours for one bug. Like the gameplay or not, RIFT created new standards for polish in MMOs and gave the genre new expectations on levels of quality. TOR is far and away below those expectations.
  2. It's not sorcs who are OP, it's the fact that this game's handling of resolve and crowd control in pvp in general is simply outrageous. Every class gets multiple forms of CC, which are generally spammable and low resource cost. Resolve does not count towards roots; and roots or stuns are not cleansable which makes them even worse. If anything this thread needs to have BW look at how it approaches crowd control and how that ends up in a frustrating experience for TOR's playerbase rather than trying to get one of the other viable pvp specs for a class nerfed.
  3. 1. You're talking about a sorc who's popping ALL of his cds to get ONE 5k crit burst. How is this OP? This is also based off of procs and channeled abilities. QQ more please. Your tears taste delicious. 2. There aren't any 6.5k bubbles. I guarantee you. Please show me a bubble absorbing 6.5k and I will eat my foot. I have tested thoroughly the strength of my bubble even using shield generators and for the vast majority of sorcs, who will use a focus, the shield strength absorbs 3100-3200 MAX. This includes the talented 20% increase. How to test? Go to the Museum on the Fleet, go to the laser. Shield yourself, then take a hit. Subtract the dmg you took from your max HP, then add your remaining HP. Viola! I guarantee you your shield will never proc 6.5k. NEVER! 3. Their utility isn't subpar - but neither is your's. Their dmg is what is subpar - and it's made up for by their much talked about utility. Total dmg done is frankly irrelevant. How much of that is effectual dmg? Honestly? Throwing Affliction on everyone around you on CD will certainly pad dmg meters but what is it really doing? AOE dmg specs in VS are totally disingenuous and not indicative at all that the sage/sorc class needs a nerf. Try again.

I guess becoming invincible for 6 seconds so you can last long enough for your friends to get out of the pen in VS to reenforce a door isn't utility enough to help win a game huh? I guess a group wide speed boost so you or a party member can be the first to get the ball isn't utility enough is it? I guess an 90% accuracy debuff on the ones attacking your ball carrier isn't utility enough to win a game huh? I guess an AOE slow isn't utility enough to win a game huh? I guess Force Leap poses no utility at all in order to help win a Huttball match, huh? I guess stealthing away in the middle of a losing fight in VS, only to come back and bleed them when they're 7 seconds into a cap on Ald or VS isn't utility enough to help win a game huh? Oh wait...   5. Nevermind that there are specs and other classes that are immune to such utility for limited amounts of time in their own talent tree. Wait... I mean, doesn't your class get a freaking AOE Mezz, that lasts how long exactly? Is that also not spammable, acts as an interrupt and an immobilize? Do you not get an AOE snare? I find it highly ironic (or sad - pick your choice) you are playing the most OP 1v1 pvp class in the game, even able to go up against multiple opponents and due to your defensive cds able to kill one or more before escaping and yet you have the brazen mindset to come here and whine about a class that any Sent/Marauder with half a brain will utterly destroy while they attempt to get a proc off of a channeled ability.

  8. When you go to Mc Donalds, do you care how they prepare your burger? Do you want an article explaining how they toast the bun at an exact temperature, purify the seltzer water and the soda syrup, etc - or do you just want to eat? Similarly, why should MMO customers care at all about how hard a bug is to fix? The answer is, by and large - we don't, we just want the game we're paying for to work.

  10. 50k guard is very attainable if you guard the right targets, i.e. healer, in WZs. 5k heal with trauma debuff is not. I have started to consistently hit the 5k mark while the debuff is active but only when/after I: 1. Pop Recklessness 2. Switch Mystic gear mods out for Master's: crit/surge mods and 3. Pop PvP relics for crit/surge bonus increase. Without surge it's damn near impossible. W/O debuff I crit 5k+ easily on heals, but I need to WORK for it in pvp. I agree with the healing medal change.

  12. Just killed 3 people between 7am-8am my time. There are only 7 Imperials on Ilum atm so these repubs aren't being farmed. No count. No one who helped me to kill them got any count either. Just thought you'd like to know.

  14. Sorry, but you misunderstand. Tuesday's patch didn't actually fix anything - what was broke before is still broken (check dev tracker) and what was working was broken still (Ilum). Wins not counting wasn't fixed, apparently BW's left hand doesn't know what the right is doing (check dev tracker).
  15. Yep, I forgot that one. Another class able to completely shut down Force based attacks with a defensive cd. Though I do think that is only in the tank tree, though it might be accessible by hybrid builds. Not quite sure. You haven't a clue what you're talking about.
  16. The only Sorcs getting a channeled heal are the one's specced for healing. If you're getting wrecked by heal specc'ed sorcs.... Need I say more?

  18. Yes, your alt. Probably around lvl 30ish or so. Lvl 50 Prime-time vs other geared 50s is a COMPLETELY different animal. No Sorc or Sage is going to get away from an Assassin or Shadow. They have every single piece of utility that you have (which come with better cds due to talents) sans shield which will be taken care of with one of their shock/project crits. They now have 20 seconds to crit crit crit your health away while you try and channel 800-900 Force Lightning ticks. Merc/Commandos have the same range as sorcs (nullifying some of their utility) and one tracer missile/grav round drops shield. Even if Grav/Tracer is interrupted enjoy being Unloaded/Rail Shotted for 3-4k+ while your Force Lightning/Telekinetic Throw hits for maybe 900 a tick, which is also easily interruptible. Maras/Sents DESTROY Sages/Sorcs in a matter of seconds, not tens of seconds. Bleeds, Aoe slows, healing debuff, AOE mezz, leaps, 2 defensive CDs (one makes you invulnerable, other makes Force attacks worthless), speed boost (lasts longer than Force Speed), in combat stealth, accuracy debuff, MASSIVE single target burst dps AND hot healing offer FAR AND AWAY more utility than ONE single target stun, ONE single target mezz and one semi-spammable aoe KB and weak *** shield. Get real. Even DPS specc'd tank AC's outburst Sorc/Sage DPS i.e. Pyrotech PTs and Vanguards. They also do not lack for utility with AOE stuns and grapples. DPS specc'd Juggs/Guards are able to AOE Sweep for 4-5k crits w/o costing resource, reducing (light) armor and rage bursting continuously. Sorcs/Sages were getting out and out facerolled vs Operatives/Scoundrels before their nerf, and now while you MIGHT still have a fighting chance, their burst still far outweighs anything a sorc can do without casting a channeled spell. Which you're going to try and kite them, but any reasonable Op will Sever tendon, which puts a slow on you - which CAN'T be dispelled by a Force user, and by time they catch up to you their CDs have refreshed so its: Flashbang, Backstab, Shiv, Laceration for the final set up of burst. Sorcs/Sages vs Snipers and Gunslingers isn't even a fair argument, using one UP class vs another UP class who's abilities can be easily LOS'd is just being disingenuous and not fit for discussion. Out of ALL the classes in TOR, you knuckleheads want to NERF the one that has lowest single target BURST out of all of them, who as healing isn't even capable of outhealing a competent geared DPS on them, i.e. one using Interrupts and CC, and who doesn't have quite as much utility as you think they do. GG. If you listen to these guys BW your PvP will be proven to be exactly what I think it is already: jack ****.

The day they nerf Sages and Sorcs due to giving into whiny, entitled brats who don't know how to burst down a 3k shield and take them down in the 20 seconds that follow is the day this game's PvP truly dies. People posting their AOE dmg stats in VOIDSTAR are disingenuous morons who are being intentionally obtuse.
  20. Not only is there an ignore feature, there is a censor filter feature. What are you crying about? There are actual *legitimate* issues with this game's PvP. Ones that will destroy it and cause masses to leave the game. This is not one of them.
