  1. You realize Ops are still godly? I am a very good sage. If an Op unstealths on me, I am doing nothing for 5.5 seconds. He gets the 1.5 sec knockdown, does damage, 4 second stun, does damage, vanishes, unloads again. By the time I have resolve, I am at 1/2 health and still he goes schnick schnick schnick. If I see him coming I might have a chance. Now Ops are crying that they cant guarentee solo someone in heavy armor anymore, awww.
  2. PTH. READ. Do you need everything fed to you with a silver spoon? All of the numbers are above.
  3. Yep. At best you get off the breaker, put a new shield up, and try to flee, but thats assuming all cc are up. Now bad Ops, yeah, you can beat them back, lock em down, whatever, but a op who knows his class > sage everytime Its just the abilities they have.
  4. It takes exactly 1 skilled op coming out of stealth on you. Knockdown stun, damage, vanish, stun, damage, damage, damage, interrupt your big heal, dead. HoT does nothing to mitigate constant 2k-4k hits, and he wont let you channel trance or get off a disturbance.
  5. It is just stupid. Whoever can put more people at once spot wins is what it boils down to, all other things equal. What about letting there be a point on Ilum where a 4 man can take out PVE guards and take over an aerial assault cannon that wipes out all life on the central point? Or a point that can only hold 4 people max where whoever has the most people there, their faction gets a bonus to damage out in the world that grows the longer they can hold it? Things like this would counter the zerg mentality, and I am sure the community and even the devs can think of more. But no, get your 50 and we will get our 50 and we will all madly rush at each other till someone breaks, then wipe everyoen remaining. And heaven forbid your faction is outnumbered on your server. And no, this isnt about being outnumbered or getting ganked, its about there being some sort of variety to strategies, and things for those without massive numbers to do that contribute to the war.
  6. Trooper/BH full spec healers are very hard to take down. We are very easy to take down if we cant hide. Scoundrel/Op full healers can vanish. So: Trooper: Turtle Scoundrel: Vanish Sage: Flee If you can do those, you can survive 2v1 pretty easy, even 3v1 for a little bit if they are idiots, but the trooper is the only class that really turtles well.
  7. Just did some testing, its bigger heals, like 260 vice 170 in wz's, but still feels insignificant
  8. Its true I think. I finally broke down and started an alt. Went from 50 sage to a sith inq assassin. Wow. First, the first companion actually uses str/end items and a vibrosword (If you dont know why this is good, you will learn) Second, the delays on project versus the instant shock are all too apparent. Black Talon is a much easier flashpoint and much quicker to boot (this is important when you are rinse/repeating it) All in all so far, empire just feels easier and more fun, but it could just be the fun of a new classes mechanics.
  9. Read again. It is not saying that the effect proc'ing uses all your force, it is saying applying the effect (charge for sins or techniques for shadows) uses all your force. Apparently it sounds like there was some "thing" you could do if you were able to switch charges "freely" that was overpowered?
  10. Anyone who has a chance to test, is balance healing better now with the 1.1.2 change? I know this: •Force in Balance: Heals the caster for 1% of maximum health for each target struck. This healing effect can no longer crit and no longer consumes Force Potency charges. is technically a nerf, but is it overcome by: •Psychic Absorption: Now doubles the amount of healing generated by Force in Balance and Focused Insight. And, do those two note even apply to us? They way the patch notes are tabbed it would seem they do?
  11. Yep, Sin/Op eat me for lunch if they know what they are doing. Stun from stealth, dirty kick, vanish, rinse, repeat, interrupt, and all the while, schnick schnick schnick, and that #($#* annoying giggle.
  12. I have to agree, 0/13/28 does put up a little higher numbers on the scoreboard, but you lose so much mobility. Right now I am 0/21/20 and that rocks for me. Sometimes I will go 0/23/18, havent tried 0/19/22 but might give it a shot.
  13. The point being the removed the wrong number off the first tick. Now you fire salvation, nothing happens, then a second later, there is two HoT ticks. No initial heal. The problem before is there was an initial heal and a hot at the same time.
  14. Post patch you could autowin against any light or med armor wearer if you got the jump on them. I DO agree that they should have buffed you elsewhere, but I still feel good ops will be just as dangerous.
  15. Remember, you can take the crit/surge mod/enhancements out of one set and put it in other sets if you want that sets set bonus.
  16. Yeah, But even with support or environment, you are dead before you can move with them.
  17. I dont know about you guys... But for me, the double stealth pair are my absolute nemesis. Its hard enough to survive an Op coming out of stealth on you, but that should change soon. But even then, Op with guard from tank spec Sin? Both coming out with full cd's available. Im dead almost before I get up.
  18. Yeah, Those 4 points, from valiance and egress are so much better spent on psychic and confound. You get 10% better AOE healing, and a 15 sec 20% slow vice a 3 sec 20% speed buff. Weaken Mind with 20% slow so much better, and of course snares stack, so you can put force slow on top of that.
  19. The point is that sages are well balanced for the game. That doesnt mean break them, but add things as necessary to make other classes more balanced. However, a lot of times the other classes really arent unbalanced, but just not being played well. I get a good operative on me, im dead, same for a trooper healer, i just cant take him down if he knows his class well.
  20. Anyone else around for the launch of Rift? I had 0 issues with it, and it seemed they poured out content. I feel like Bioware with all the money they have coming in should be pouring out a lot more. But so far we have 1 new flashpoint and the completion of an Op. Flame on.
  21. Actually, if you arent going to get the ability above it that allows free noble, its not worth it. Its not powerful at all and doesnt stand up to any damage Most people, I think, use it solely to proc free noble.
  22. 2 pts in immutable force? 0.5 sec on deliverance doesnt make it any better. If you have that much time, the 0.5 sec doesnt matter, if you dont have that much time, the 0.5 sec doesnt matter those 2 points would do much better in blockout for the quicker instant lift, and more importantly 2 more seconds where he cant (heal/tracer missile/whatever)
  23. You do have skills as a sorc/sage that swing your lightsaber, you just choose not to click them. (Two in fact) Plus when running for distance, it deflects fire. But yeah, all in all, its a stat stick. If i could put the stats on an item and wear it, id fight bare fisted.
  24. Alt-T works for giving you the target of your target. But it doesnt let you say target the tank and your dps casts hit his target, nor does it let you target the boss and your heals hit his target. I dont know why people consider these groundbreaking. The game shouldnt be about who has the fastest fingers or best mouse clicking ability. It should be about who understands their class mechanics best and employs them most effeciently.
