  1. One of the worst examples I have seen is when my "dissappearing act" is on its 3 minute cooldown, if I mouse over it I am shown a minute by minute countdown as in three seperate 60 second countdowns?!?!?!?!?!?!?" How are any of those countdowns supposed to help me at all when I glance at it because there is absolutely no indication if that is minute 1,2, or 3 all I can see is at what point the current 60 second countdone is at. Mindboggling how that could still be in the game.... and if I was Bioware I would be This is the worst example I have personally seen when it comes to an MMO developer leaving something like this post launch, is this meant to trick me into thinking that my dissappearing act is coming back sooner? Because if thats the case you have succeeded at least until I stopped mousing over anything to see where the cooldown was at because NONE of that information is any use at all!!!!
  2. Until they fix this just roll a new character that way you still got the fun 1- 49 bracket on the new char and hopefully by the time you reach 50 again they might have it fixed? Who knows all I know is if its not fun they will change it eventually.
  3. There is a setting in "Preferences" to have it show your companion comparison right beside your own but it does not come with that set as default so you have to set that. Why Bioware can't fix that so it is set by default is beyond me because it would decrease a lot of complaints about that very thing and it has to be a pretty easy fix one would think. To get to Preferences press Esc Also the way items can be modded in this game means that when you find a look you like and its an orange item with full modding ability, don't sell it because you can keep using that same armor through the entire game by upgrading the mods for it.
  4. Yeah, sorry I have no idea how I did not see that.
  5. Before you take the shuttle to the republic fleet you have to go to the other part of the spaceport and a part of your story takes place there on Ord Mantel. If you open your map when you are in the spaceport you will see that there are two launch rooms, go to the one without the shuttle to the fleet in it. Hope this helps
  6. The thing to remember is to take out almost everything on the way in, especially when you entered into your story area because in there you get no respawns unless you leave before you complete it. That way you can aways run from a fight and not worry at all about adds. Most of the time with that strategy you can leave any golds you see on the way in, because they are usually placed out of the way of any decent escape route anyway. There really is almost no fight that you can't run away from, especially if you sever tendon, flash it, or debilitate on the mob you are fighting just before you bolt down the hall. As a matter of fact in cases where you are auto entered into a story and when the story ends it places you directly in front of the boss surrounded by his or her henchmen, your best bet is to start to run away and use your cloak to enter stealth and if you do it quick enough it is not likely Kaliyo will have any DoT on her yet so you will get away. Then come back, dart the boss and kill his henchmen then wake the boss up and kill him/her.
  7. I have both the Operative and the Scoundrel and I have to say the Scoundrel is the better healer but the Operative is the better fighter so really it might even out at least for PvE, as for PvP I think I will be playing my Operative a lot more often in that arena...
  8. I have said this in every post I have seen about this quest. It is a brilliantly designed quest that is specifically designed TO TEACH YOU HOW TO PLAY THE CLASS! Now I know caps are frowned upon but I am trying to get this point across and it seems to me that people are not realizing just what this quest is. In beta when I was playing the Smuggler/Scoundrel I had no idea how I would ever win this fight until I realized it was designed so that if I used ALL of my abilities it was actually pretty easy. This quest taught me how to play the Scoundrel class...simple, elegant in design, and a really great part of the storyline.
  9. Again it all comes down to the gear they are wearing. For that reason I pick ONE companion that I take with me all the way through to level 50, that way that companion always has the proper gear upgrades. I know this kind of sucks for crafting missions but that stuff really probly should be done after you get to 50.
  10. Personally I think they are fast enough I just wish I had a flying mount so I could collect datacrons a without feeling like I am playing Super Mario...
  11. I buffed an Empire player once and got flagged.....lol The thing is they should make it so that we can change name colors so that we can set enemy players to a different color, even when they are flagged. That way it becomes easier to avoid.
  12. Actually I don't agree with this. TOR should have enough cash flow for them to have a team working on fixing the game as it stands AND a team that is working on expansions, they do not have to be the same team. Also if they are not currently working on an expansion they may loose market share of customers because once you get to 50 there is not a ton of stuff to do unless you love repeating yourself.
  13. I saw that once where some idiot was trying to block the mail box so what i did was I jumped on my speeder and went to a different box that was a short distance away. There are a ton of mailboxs on the fleet just find one that is not being blocked. Please dont make us walk on the fleet it would make it so I would NEVER want to go there again...
  14. Just so you know the IA protocol droid has MUCH better dialogue then republic one does but thats that norm for TOR so I guess its ok...
  15. Sheesh never thought I would see this thread...I mean for god sakes you want to walk more??? Are you kidding me? you must be!
  16. The thing is though Ivory makes no sense what so ever in the story. Bioware, story is your thing and the story aspect of Ivory makes no sense what so ever..why do you leave it like this because it makes you guys look like you don't know what you are doing with story and I know that can not be the case because I own just about every single game you guys have ever made and you guys are great at story...
  17. Also it really helps if you leave your companion to take care of things and you start moving away from the agro so that when you activate DA you don't get uncovered right away. I find it one of my most useful skills you just have to use it right.
  18. Why don't you just roll what you want? The game is basically a single player chat game anyway cause 90% of all quests can be done solo besides a few tough fights in your class story, Heroics, and FP's. The only bosses that have any challenge at all are in Heroic's and Flashpoints and if you have a tough class boss that you just can't seem to take down all you need to do is leave that quest alone until you gain a level or two and come back and finish him off, or get a friend to help. I have been playing both the Republic with a level 43 Scoundrel, and I wanted to see the difference in the same classes on each side so I now have an operative at level 25, she just got her speeder last night. I don't see the big deal, sure there is less people on Republic side but unless you play PvP server I don't see how that really matters. The smuggler storyline is hilarious and I absolutely love it, and part of the reason I started to play the IA is because I can see the end coming at level 50 and to be honest I will be very sad when I do finally get to the end. The smuggler female voice acting is some of the very best SWTOR has to offer, she is absolute gold who ever voices my character. The Imerial Agent story is just as good. I have noticed a few things like how all the taxi paths seem to be done much better and smoother, especially landings, then the republic side. How everything on the republic side is located as far as possible from your current location and on the empire side its like that but not so much. So it is obvious to me that there were two seperate design teams one for Empire, and one for Republic. It is also pretty obvious that the Empire side had more talent and that is because it is and always will be the more popular side in any MMO set in the Star Wars mythos. So the talent gravitated to the Empire side. If Bioware is smart they will now switch some team members to the opposite side they were on during development to balance out the talent a bit better and as the game goes forward the sides should even out more. On Republic side there are these ridiculous green lines that eminate from these horrible looking light or communication tower things that seem to be near every taxi platform on the Republic side. How they could have possibly been left in at launch is completlely laughable when you consider the developer. I have been a fan of Bioware games since Baldur's Gate was a brand new game and I own nearly every game they have ever made and so much of SWTOR has been tacked on so that they could launch on time and the Republic obviously suffered the most from this, those HORRIBLE GREEN LINES are the proof.
  19. Well I wish they would add a few more to the team working on the new UI, because as it stands there is barely enough bars to use all of your skills even if somehow we manage use those side bars for skill activations. The UI looks like one of the many things in SWTOR that were simply tacked on so that they could launch on time. That is fine but please work faster to fix the things that really matter like a tweakable UI with different themes for republic and empire, why should they look exact same as in color, texture, etc? I have been a fan of Bioware games since Baldur's Gate was a brand new game and I own most of their games. Never have I seen a game from them that had more of this "tacked on" feel to it then SWTOR has at launch and still does. That is fine for an MMO but things like UI simply must be fixed ASAP, it makes this game look well below the standards of what I have come to expect from Bioware over the years. The random companion comments pretty much suck, random conversations in the game suck, has anyone ever felt like they are in the same cantina that Han and Luke met in? Where is the atmosphere Bioware? Please breath some life into this game world....
  20. Best way for you to get groups faster is to find a good healer friend and advertise as Tank and Healer LFG quest name. As a healer I always look for a good tank buddy or two or three so I can advertise for groups with them, when people see that you already have the group half formed they jump at the chance to get in...
  21. El'amber Quinn my scoundrel 42 El'ember Quinn my operative 23
  22. Just spec scrapper until you have full stealth and sucker punch then put the rest of your points into healing and I think you will be very surprised at just how good you can solo. You can heal groups very well once you get to 37+ and before that you can advertise your healing for heroic quests as long as you constantly pay attention to your power levels and really learn when to use diagnostic scan, pugnacity, and cool head, which will make you a better healer if you respec to total sawbones at 50 anyway. This spec is very fun to play and with Corso well geared you can go toe to toe with nearly any class boss and win easily. The fight may take a while as you heal Corso and let him beat the boss down so at the end you can close in and deliver the killing shots, but you only have to resort to that on the toughest bosses like Diago and a few others. A very very fun spec to play, the sucker punch healer FTW!
  23. Yes but if you are a smuggler are you still forced to take the reward? Are you still a republic hero even though you end up basically a Sith if you go full DS on a LS character?
  24. I found a vendor, can't remember where it was I think maybe Alderaan anyway I found this freckle faced contry bumpkin look that fits him perfectly! The only thing I hate about the different Corso looks is they all seem to have that ugly scar on his face, it must be part of the story at some point I guess...don't know
  25. Don't go there until you are 34 then? I thought it was a big let down because when I took him on, at 33, he went down fast and I thought to myself, after all that and he is that weak? However I had mostly orange gear and Corso even had some orange stuff, also as a Scoundrel you can nearly always, right at the beginning of the fight, use "dissappearing act" and then come back and give him a tranq dart and dictate the fight a lot more on your own terms. When you get the upperhand it makes all the difference.
