  2. Snipers need their survivablity buffed just as much, if not more so than Marauders.

  5. Honestly none of this except getting the purge back will fix our problems. We were still very squishy when we had these things. What we need is a new Focused Defense/Barrier style cooldown. We have needed it for a long time, and Bioware has acknowledged we needed it a long time ago. The fact that we didn't get one when 3.0 launched is mind blowing. Every single class has better cooldowns than us. Almost all of our defenses in pvp are range and cc based. If everyone now has immunity to those and we have crappy cooldowns we no longer have any way of staying alive.

  7. If you need evidence that survivability is in the toilet, in any match look at the ratio of damage taken to deaths of any sniper compared to everyone else. The sniper will have the same or less damage taken and still have more deaths. It is ridiculous how little effort it takes to kill us now.

  9. Survivability in arenas is so bad right now. Can we get a timeline on when this is going to be fixed? After saying for a year that survivability needs to be buffed, I'm kind of getting tired of waiting.
  10. Yeah I wouldn't want to get rid of it completely. It is pretty awesome as a melee defense when they have their cc immunities up.
  11. No, that skill gives you immunity to roots and slows after Hunker Down. It does not break roots. You cannot roll while rooted.
  12. It is kind of insane how much heals Ruffian and Lethality can put out without giving up anything in the dps tree.
  13. I have only tried Sharpshooter so far. Damage seems really good; I was averaging the same as where I was in 2.10 despite the stat nerfs. I had a few matches where I was hitting 1600-1800 dps. Survivability did not seem too good. The loss of the purge on Dodge is pretty painful even if I take no damage for the 3 seconds. If there was not a healer on my team there was very little I could do to keep myself alive. I have not tested arenas yet, and I am not optimistic for how that is going to go.
  14. Cover probably isn't going anywhere. The last thing I would want is this class to become Mando-lite.
  15. We really need the purge from Dodge back. We need Hotwired Defense in Tier 1. We need a 30% dot DR utility for all specs. Hightail It while rooted would be nice too. And PLEASE PLEASE do not wait 6 patches to buff survivability. This was suppose to be the patch that fixed survivability. That being said I really think we are better off overall in 3.0, problems with Saboteur aside. Damage seems in a really good spot, and I really like the changes to Diversion. It takes the sting out of melee burst pretty well and gives us the area denial back that we lost with the Flyby nerf. Edit: No one cares about PVE survivability for dps. That should not be the reason for holding snipers and slingers back in PVP.
  16. The Leth/Engi hybrid was the single worst pvp spec in the game. Bioware did you a favor by getting rid of it.
  17. I'm going with the 60% AOE reduction to start out with. AOE seems to have gotten a buff across the board. I might change if its seems I don't need it.
  18. It won't be as harsh now, as you can move out of it now instead of having to wait the full six seconds.
  19. I wouldn't give people the wrong idea here. It still does sh***y damage.
  20. While that utility isn't necessarily that great, the alternatives in Tier 1 aren't that much better. Presumably you are taking Dampers and the knockback from SoS. The options for the required third point makes Snap Shot look pretty good. Cover Screen and single target Flash Powder are pretty useless, and the heal from Vital Regulators is laughably bad. I would think the the damage increase to Suppressive Fire is nothing special without the buffs from the Marksmen discipline.   21. It's basically just a filler ability to replace Explosive Probe as an energy dump. It's not meant to be used rotationally.
  22. My favorite thing about 3.0 is I don't have to explain to players anymore why this spec is god-awful for pvp.
  23. So in pvp how is a spec that deals mostly weapon damage supposed to counter an assassin that has Defection up?
