  1. Something is wrong with this picture. Might want to rethink your pricing on these, especially since every single piece has garbage mods in them.

  4. Every time I step into a warzone, I have to constantly sit there and swap my pve pieces at random until I find what gives me the best stats. It's beginning to look like they didn't think through bolster at all before they implemented it.
  5. When I am standing at the pvp vendor on fleet, choosing my next piece of gear, my stats are totally different than what they are when I am doing actual pvp because of bolster. This makes it difficult to min/max pvp gear when we do not know what our stats are going to be in the warzone. There need to be some kind of tab in gear that converts our stats to what they will be bolstered.

  10. Alacrity is going to be very important vs. Juggs and Guardians to get Ambush off quickly. I am very worried about Saber defect. Ambush very clearly broadcasts to the target that they are going to be hit with Ambush. They now have the ability to send that damage right back at us. I am wondering if we can Dodge (now with cleanse our own Ambush?

  12. Great guide. Lots of useful information for snipers/gunslingers. Personally I prefer this spec for MM. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#400rcrbbRsRGoZbfZh.2 Siege Bunker is great against all the smash monkeys, but outside of smash it is usually better to move out of the aoe than eat it. My playstyle tends to be more of a semi-mobile MM so this ability gives me limited usefulness. It might seem odd for a single-target spec to go for more aoe damage, but Explosive Engineering also affects Explosive Probe. That greatly improves your burst and helps to generate yellow damage on heavily armored targets. This gives me up to 4k crits on Explosive Probes. The +10 energy gives me some buffer for the extra Explosive Probes and Orbital Strikes (putting these on top of yourself is a great melee defense). The 3 second reduction on Leg Shot isn't worth 2 points in my opinion. Diversion's usefulness is debatable outside dueling other snipers. My strategy is to attack until they toss diversion, run, then comeback and hit them hard when they switch targets. It would be great to have, but I tend to like the small buff to survivability from Cover Screen better.
  13. Firstly, it is not hard to roll a new class. Secondly, there are 3 specs in your advanced class, 2 of which actually require some measure of skill to play; respecs are free. I absolutely hate people who play fotm, because they know that class/spec is op. Someone who has the nerve to complain about their op fotm class will get absolutely no sympathy from me. I take great pride in playing a relatively rare class, and the day everyone else starts playing my class is the day I stop.

  15. Focus/Rage got a big buff in 1.4 to make it a viable class for pve, but in turn made it very overpowered in pvp. As anyone who currently plays warzones knows the overpoweredness of chokesmashers has destroyed class balance in pvp. There are quite a few threads yelling at the developers to nerf this spec. I thought I would be a bit more constructive and start a thread suggesting some realistic possibilities for a nerf while still making the spec viable in pve. 1. No more auto-crits. Change Felling Blow/[imp equivalent] to increase the crit chance of sweep/smash by a certain percentage per point, but not be a guaranteed crit. 2. Make sweep/smash a single-target attack or a cone attack, similar to how they changed the consular/inquisitor knockback. A 5k+ attack should not be instantly applied to multiple people. This could also increase the skill it takes to play this spec and hopefully reduce the number of people playing it. Counterpoint: This would effectively eliminate all knight/warrior aoe damage. That would have to be addressed for this change to be possible. Feel free to post your own suggestions.
  16. You're right. It through me off cause the item said it required a armstech workstation, but it let me craft it anyway. The text proably got left behind by mistake.
  17. Once you get to a certain level of crafting you need to use a workstation. I am wondering where that workstation is, but thanks for pointing out the obvious.
  18. No, I'm looking for the workstation to craft armtech items, not modding.
  19. Just wondering where I can find the workstation. I haven't advanced a crafting ability high enough to need a workstation before, and I'm not sure where to find one. I assume my ship but I'm not quite there yet. Can I craft at mod stations?
