    UnEven teams

That's the fun part about the forums, we all take bets in our voice server before someone goes to the forums to see what the topic is for the day. Every day: One person makes a thread and then you have to get 4 or more clone threads about the same damn issue instead of people posting in the original thread. Then a mod comes in and picks the topic title/post wording that fits best with Bioware and redirects everyone there regardless of if it was the first thread about the topic or not. Welcome to the world of captialist corporation socialism.
  2. I logged in around 4pm CST today and every NA and EU was at light population, first time I have EVER seen that.
  3. Remember that the pre-launch guild programs definition of CASUAL was less than 10 hours a week of in game play time, regardless of what style of play that was. While we (as a very large guild from past MMO's) were sent to seperate PvE servers and PvP servers due to those required choices, my guildies, and real life friends ALL picked CASUAL as their choice in the guild program because a handful of players only play(ed) a few hours a week. Most of us all played a hell of a lot more than 10 hours per week, but were probably still CASUAL in Biowares performance metrics. Bioware stating casuals as the reason probably only means that the majority of those that unsubbed were more than likely in the pre-launch guild program as a CASUAL, so the statement is actually factual. (From Biowares point of view.) Take all the factors required for the pre-launch guild program, PvE, PvP, RP, RP-PvP, East Coast, West Coast, Europe, English, French, German, Republic, Sith Empire, the other 2 or 3 choices besides CASUAL for in game time and it starts to make sense why there are so many servers. The question I have is if any other pre-launch guild program players on Belgoths Beacon or Kaas City picked something other than CASUAL? TL;DR Many players probably picked CASUAL (less than 10 hours per week in game) in the pre-launch guild program, played a lot more than 10 hours per week, unsubbed, but were in Biowares metrics as such leading to the "casual" subs statement.
  4. I think you might be a tad off on when that server spike was, unless yesterday was 1/25/2012, this thread is necro now.

    Best PVP server

Judging by the populations, or lack thereof, yes it seems to be pretty common.
  6. Gotta love necro, last post before about 4 hours ago: 1/25/2012
  7. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=452578 It's by date, not topic. However if you mean posts on what they are planning for 1.3, good luck with that is all I can say.
  8. I only thought of this when I read the title: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=14IRDDnEPR4
  9. Yes, I agree CS is really lacking in this game and IB4L.
  10. The sad thing is IF they even allow transfers to Fatman and Swiftsure, I would take odds that it will be PAID transfers only. We need a list of both FREE and paid from/to servers from Bioware now, early summer can wait for the actual transfer. People might actually stay subbed if this information was made available, kept factual, and not changed at the last minute.
  11. Population wise, Fatman, Swiftsure, and a couple of the RP-PvP servers would be the choices. Competitive/quality wise, I would say there are still quite a few guilds spread throughout the servers that are competitive and have quality players, how long they will wait for transfers is the big question/issue.
  12. I choose you Ashara-chu!

    open pvp?

Maybe Fatman, Swiftsure, or some of the RP-PvP servers would be my guess where you MIGHT be able to find some on a regular basis.
  14. IB4L and cookie cutter response saying how much they appreciate both positive and negative feedback, please post in these ongoing threads, etc...
  15. While this is a great concept to get the community together, there is no way to know which servers will be the targets to move from or to, so the whole point is moot until we have some sort of list from Bioware. Making plans as a commuity to transfer to and from servers that might not even be targeted will only futher alienate players in the long run at this point. Again, I applaud your concept. Give us a list Bioware and at least people can start planning for whenever this "early summer" event happens.
  16. It's the latest bug from the lastest patch that was supposed to fix the latest bugs that were from the previous patches. In other words, it's working as intended.
  17. 1.7 million out of 2 million is aound 70% RETENTION. 1.3 million out of 3 million sales means you probably kept 300k subs, because the new sales make up the remaining 1 million subs. If the game sales are higher, it is a lot worse than that. 400k subs is a NET loss, 1.7 million or more is the GROSS loss in subs.
  18. Obviously you haven't played in the 10-49 bracket either since your return, nothing post 1.2 is what I would call fun any more, PvP wise.
  19. What the common player usually doesn't think about is that LA and EA probably have some clause in their contract that requires a specific number of subscriptions or one or the other corporation can pull the plug. If this is indeed in the contract, regardless of all the fun people are having on the few high population servers, there will be no game if it falls below that number. Thus, population issues should be MORE of a concern for those having fun and loving the game on their high population servers, than to those that unsub. It would be sad, albeit quite funny, if all the people telling others to quit actually shot themselves in the foot this way. After the other Star Wars game issues, I would be willing to take odds that their is such a clause in the contract too.
  20. Depends on the way you look at it, yes it's bleeding subs very fast, but I would wager they still made money off the box sales and subs to date vs. the amount they invested in the game. I seriously doubt they invested this "mythic" (sorry for the pun, couldn't resist though ) 300 million in this game.
  21. Fatman is/was the highest pop server in NA and it is PvP, Swiftsure is up their too, and a couple of the RP-PvP are decent pop. As for the rest they are kind of on the low side because of what the above replies said and the re-rolls to the two I mentioned.
  22. /signed I agree that they serve no purpose after the warzone has started, but it may be a coding thing and if that's the case we all know what that means.
  23. Yes, it's that high since launch though. I don't mind the spam for LFG, selling items, etc... Most of the ones on my ignore are ones that can't understand that using guild chat, or grouping up and using group chat instead of posting bathroom habits, sexual innuendo, and other childish things in general chat is a better option. For one example, after years of investigating sexual crimes involving victims from the age of 5 to 90, I don't want to see some of the things I see in general chat, so /addignore it is. Everyone can say whatever they want about thicker skin or whatever, but when you deal with the dregs of society, along with life and death situations, on a daily basis in your real life career, the last place you want to deal with more dregs is in your alleged entertainment "fun" zone too. While the chat filter and ignore both work well, I don't see why there is so much resentment of some sort of mark by the name, unless people are worried that it will effect THEM by adding it.
