  1. You're not supposed to be able to use that medical probe or whatever all the time. It's an emergency/convenience for once in a while. Rez at a med center and run back, and you can die as often as you like.
  2. You know the Mayans hadn't accounted for leap years, so technically December 2012 happened in July of 2011. We're safe!
  3. Windows causes more problems than it solves, which is why Mac users avoided it in the first place. Not to mention the expense ($200). Other games support the Mac natively for a good reason - it's profitable and people don't boot into Windows.
  4. But players like you are the fringe... not the majority. If you have to cancel, go for it... they cannot and will not make content for the 1%.
  5. Uh, no. "Getting it" got them over 12 million subscribers.
  6. Exactly... we're all having fun and I appreciate BioWare letting it roll this way for so long!
  7. That's the Kool-Aid talking. WoW beat everything before it, and was beat everything since. Not sure how else to explain it.
  8. It all comes back to bad design. You can't blame the players for playing the game.
  9. Until a competitor comes out and bests it in one or more ways, just like WoW did when it came out! I'm an MMO fan, I would like nothing more than to see the next-gen evolution of this genre finally come around.
  10. A bad design allows exploits... thats part of a bad design!
  11. Back to the same argument. Blizzard is the leader. When they make an error in judgement they can tweak it without the same kind of scrutiny as an underdog competitor will get. Just the facts. And I wouldn't call either of those "re-tooled" to the extent that it seems Ilum will be. I don't believe Blizzard ever used the word "scrap" for their own designs. If you do want to pick on one, pick on the old Alterac Valley.
  12. I'm more talking about the "scrap Ilum and start over" plan I guess.
  13. Thanks for making the post that I should have!
  14. Blink wasn't the equivalent of the entirety of their touted end-game emergent PvP zone. Not exactly the same thing.
  15. Backhanded remarks will get you in just as much trouble... people aren't stupid. So, yeah.
  16. He doesn't have an epic story - yet. It takes time to develop them. Once we see him again, it will feel more epic because we have a history with him. This is what you and others give no credit to Blizzard for and will never, ever understand. They do take the time - years in advance - to begin creating characters and lore and story that we will care about. I would say they are more painstaking about this kind of thing than even BioWare.
  17. Then we're back to the start: fun and variety Currently missing in certain games.
  18. Me neither. In fact, I'd expect it because that's what makes character feel more epic... the "so, we meet again!" syndrome. You have a personal tie to them. That's why it works narratively and some players will never understand that.
  19. But you know what? It's STILL more actual fun to play.
  20. Dodging my question on Darth Malgus I see. So, we shouldn't ever see him again then? And Naxx, at least they wrapped a story about why it had moved. I already explained I don't agree with the other redux.
  21. Well, I will give you the dungeons. I absolutely hate that Blizzard does this, but they do it because there's demand due to nostalgia there. But I hate it and I don't do them. Rag though was a different thing... he was back in a new, forward-progressed story and you fight him in his realm. Fairly epic, I might add. So does that mean we should never see Darth Malgus in future TOR expansions then, or would you considered that "re-hashed"?
