  1. Lower the Voice Volume under Sound in Preferences. There, now your "major" issue that required a forum thread has been solved. Good day.
  2. LOL I know what you mean. He said there'll be more moving parts "everywhere." So I think that'll include touching some things up like that as well XD
  3. The Legacy system is a HUGE part of what will separate this MMO from the rest. In fact, it'll fix this "its so exhausting and boring to do the identical quests / dialogues / routes" issue, by giving alts more XP for completing their unique storyline instead of the same grindy quests. It'll also give more XP for PvP on alts. So, saying the Legacy system won't change anything is just blatantly incorrect.
  4. This was brought up during the guild summit. I agree that the environments do feel kind of lifeless, and Daniel Erickson said they'll be making the environments feel more alive, adding more "moving parts."
  5. Getting pretty tired of having a full resolve bar, carrying the ball over the opposing team's last fire hazard, only to get CHAIN SNARED RIGHT AS THE FIRE STARTS UP AGAIN. If my resolve bar is full, I should be immune to ANYTHING that stops my character's movement. It just doesn't make any logical sense to have resolve work for *SOME* CC.
  6. I recall during a Q&A session previous to launch it was stated that the "sharding" or "instancing" of planets was an unfortunate but only temporary feature to alleviate stress from high populations in one area. It's almost 2 months after release now, and people feel as though planets are void of players because they're separated into different shards of the same planet. When will the shards be removed so that all the players are in the same instance?
  7. I totally agree with this right here, you should check out my idea on how to help with this. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=265194 Lemme know what you think. Thanks!
  8. You don't think 10-15 minutes is a little exaggerated? Even on my low-end system it still only takes me roughly 5-7 minutes. Plus the addition of new planets doesn't matter distance wise, it still takes the same amount of time to lightspeed from one planet to another. Not to mention most of the level 50 players are on the Fleet.
  9. Random attacks on major cities/major quest hubs. First, implement a boss into each city. Much like the Rift zone invasions, a Republic battalion could get dropped off in front of an Imperial city and start advancing. Make the mobs within the level range of the planet, and put in a boss among strong and regular mobs. Everyone in the area would receive a quest to fend off the invaders, AND it could be a PvP quest. So Republic players could join in on the assault on the base, with the ultimate goal of killing the boss in the base. The Imperial players have to kill the boss leading the battalion. Whoever kills their opposing boss completes the quest for gear, city commendations, and PvP commendations (along with experience and credits of course). For level 50's, put in a chance for a PvP bag (one that corresponds with your valor rank), and 10k credits upon completing the quest. You may be wondering where the PvP aspect comes into play with the quest. Well they could add on a bonus quest that consists of killing a certain number of players. Completing the bonus quest awards valor and commendations. In my opinion this would give a lot of bored players something fun to do with other players as well as promote world PvP. Let me know what you guys think! Add onto the idea if you'd like. Thanks for reading.
  10. Being a Jedi is all about personal enlightenment, so perhaps something representing the ability Introspection?
  11. The Fleet? No. Not at all. But the first time I walked into Kaas City, the first words out of my mouth were "F**k Stormwind." I was blown away by Kaas City, and a few others. Such as Mos Ila. Both of which dwarf the size of any of the "epic" WoW cities you're referring to. For that reason I made a thread in the Suggestion Box suggesting that they allow level 50's to access their vendors and dailies on several of the planets, not JUST the Fleet. This way players aren't so bored with being stuck inside all day. I also feel this would open up for more world PvP opportunities. As for the PvE in this game, is it as epic as the 3 hour WoW raids that most groups couldn't even finish in one night? In terms of group size/completion time, no not really. I agree with that. In the future some Operations that take several nights to complete would be good for the players. I think that would eliminate some of this feeling of there being no endgame to complete.
  12. Do you plan on expanding any of the planets already in game? As in, will you be adding more zones and removing some exhaustion zones to make the planets feel less restrictive?
  13. /signed I love the animations in this game compared to MMOs and I think they should definitely continue to make them more dynamic. Great idea friend! I hope BioWare notices it! May the force be with you
  14. Yeah, exactly. It's not just for duelers. Basically, the way it's set up now kinda makes most of the planets totally temporary. You go there, you quest, you move on. That's it. There's no real reason to visit the planets ever again because all you need at level 50 is on the Fleet and dailies on the high level planets. There should be a LOT more incentive for higher level players to re-visit planets. This could also spark some world PvP battles.
  15. I really don't think it would spread the crowd thinner at all. People don't want to be stuck in the Imperial Fleet but they have to be, because that's where all the level 50 stuff is. If they were to implement my suggestion, the players would find their "Orgrimmar" or "Stormwind" and would have more to do and be more social.
  16. I'd like to add that I feel the fake vehicles placed at the capture points need to be made into something more useful. I think they give the devs a great opportunity to make them into siege vehicles that players can use. Then make the bases have actual parts to destroy. That would REALLY liven things up.
  17. /signed I'm a Sith Jugg and I feel Soresu needs a different stance
  18. So, I'm riding around the Imperial Fleet, picking up dailies and checking out which set piece I'm going to buy, and I see crowds of people all over the place. Then it hits me, like a ton of bricks, one thing that WoW players did to pass the time between queues and raids was hang out in front of their respective cities and duel! And I realized, the simple fact that the population at level cap is trapped in this non-dueling enclosed space, makes level 50 activities REALLY boring. Thus, my suggestion is, put the same districts that are in the Imp Fleet on a couple different planets as well. The cities/main headquarters for either faction are quite large. And I really don't think it would be a problem at all to put PvP/PvE dailies and the top level vendors in a few major cities. Personally I was thinking this could be done on Dromund Kaas, Coruscant, Tatooine, Alderaan, Hoth, and Voss (for this planet it could have the vendors for both factions in the same city such as on Nar Shaddaa). This would give players the option to hang out on different planets, utilize cantinas, and of course duel each other! I remember in WoW dueling outside of cities was one of the best ways to meet new people, competitively pass the time, and form random groups together for PvP raids and other shenanigans. Anyway, that's my idea, and I personally feel it would DRAMATICALLY improve on the in-game community. As well as generally make the cities feel more alive. Sign if you agree, if you have any additional thoughts then feel free to share! Thanks, and may the force be with you
  19. Gee look, a troll thread, which all the other trolls cling onto like parasites. I'll agree that I wish some of the environments had more "moving parts" so to speak. But, saying WoW's environments are better in the least is laughable. Each WoW zone is comprised of the same copied models over and over again to give the illusion of there being more. SWTOR's zones have unique areas, unique models, and are visually stunning and gorgeous. Every time I zoned into a new planet I was blown away by what it all looked like. And then I would think back to zoning into areas on WoW and just how awful it all was now that I had SWTOR. All the people saying that SWTOR's planets are all the same are being totally ignorant. Only similarities I can possibly think of are the city planets. But every time I go to a different planet, I KNOW what planet I'm on because of how unique it is to the others.
  20. I am THOROUGHLY impressed with your epiphany, and it's something I would hope MANY of the trolls would realize. But I never actually thought I would see it happen. I applaud your open-mindedness in giving this game a second chance. Perhaps you can pay a visit to my server and be welcomed by helpful friendly people such as myself. Whatever the case may be, I hope the force guides you on your journey.
  21. I'm an MMO vet and I love the hell out of this game. I want to see improvements and fixes as we all do, but I'm no where NEAR the point of rage quitting.
  22. I have a laptop and a desktop. Game is on my desktop. It's right there <--- Admittedly I have a problem with keeping away from the forums. But seriously, go find something better to do. How sad is your life that you feel the need to spam the forums with the same crap all day?
