  1. Ah i see you were referring to the other planets cities. Yes i completely agree with you, and your suggestion was a good one. Coruscant for example was a very nice part of this game, and your solution would allow for it to be populated and useful late game. But like I was saying beforre, these little things arent as important as something like arenas that would literally satisfy peoples pvp desires for years. Because lets face it playing 500 warzones gets boring, but every arena match is different from the last. There is always room to improve, etc....
  2. You think going to the fleet for the first time had the same feel as when you first walked through the gates of stormwind, or up the mountain and into the mountain city of ironforge? You think a 45 minute eternity vault is the same as a 3 hour black temple raid? Or even compare it to the starting raid of BC, karazan. Karazan was a 3 hour epic palace.
  3. once again. You think arenas will be implemented the SAME WAY they were in wow. Im done replying to your posts, because you dont seem to get it.
  4. so many people seem to be okay with a game that just maintains the status quo, and does the basic things, and never ventures outside of the box. Well Im not okay with this. I want bioware to push the limits, try new things, implement new features, new ideas. And the fact they they are too afraid to even add arenas shows they dont have what it takes to compete with blizzard. Because blizzard isnt afraid.
  5. A game design team must serve its broadest audience? This is why you will never be a leader or a visionary. Because your brain thinks in EZ mode. If game developers catered to what the general audience thought was good, there would be no innovation, no new things.
  6. Isnt that the point of the suggestion box? Isnt that the whole basis behind added new things to a game? Its to satisfy peoples wants and desires so they keep playing the game.
  7. So its not a pvp centric game..... Yet right now the main way 90% of players are gearing up is through grinding warzones?
  8. I assume to know what your talking about, because your writing it down. You are saying that i think arenas could be perfect, when in reality i never said it would be perfect. No balancing is ever perfect, the game right now is not perfect, wow right now is not perfect, no game is ever perfect in terms of balance. The point is right now 3v3 wow arenas is pretty balanced, and it is not affecting pve. If you added 3v3 to swtor, it can work. It wont be perfect, sure it may take a little more effort to balance. But its not going to destroy anything. You seem to be stuck in a little fantasy world where game developers never need to balance because a game is perfect, and adding arenas would make it imperfect.
  9. You clearly dont know what you are talking about, because your assuming if arenas are implemented they would be implemented in the same way wow was. There have been other detailed threads that have outlined exactly how arenas could be implemented without ruining any other aspect of the game. And in wow, once they stopped balancing around 2v2, there were no issues at all. A separate stat table for arenas would also fix this issue instantly. Do you not recall how low level players in warzones had their stats scaled? If arenas really ruin a game, dont you think blizzard would have removed it? And why would they actually implement it in diablo 3?
  10. I agree wholeheartedly. Rated warzones are obviously not arenas, and would not fix the issue (lack of arenas). And with no mention of arenas being added, im concerned they never will be.
  11. I am just trying to help bioware as much as i can. Because lets face it, this game is not competing with vanilla wow.... its competing with the CURRENT state of wow. And because i want swtor to be successful I want bioware to know that it would be best to implement arenas as soon as possible.
  12. Your arguement makes no sense. Your saying that an mmorpg is not a place meant for competitiion. yet you are constantly competing against other guilds on raid progression, you compete against the other faction in warzones, you compete in open world pvp. Adding arenas wouldnt mean your adding the ONLY competitive aspect to an otherwise noncompetitive game, it means your adding the most fun form of pvp/competition. I would appreciate if in your future posts you use some logic, instead of hating on something for no reason.
  13. Hello, First off id like to say this post is not meant to bash or hate on swtor in anyway, i really just want to try and inform bioware on one change they could implement that would keep so many players like myself playing this game. Now I could go on about how this game isnt as polished as wow, or how the raids just arent as epic, how it lacks the immersion of an mmo, the lack of epic cities, all the detail that helps make an mmo truly feel massive..... but in all honesty none of these things bothered me. Because at the end of the day what makes a game worth playing for me is the end game content, and ability to actually do something fun when you reach max level. Personally I enjoyed this game alot, i thought it was amazing. I ran the top guild on my server, we downed all the hardmodes, dominated pvp, etc..... So what is it that made me cancel my subscription....... No Arenas. Simple as that. As a competitive player, theres just nothing like arenas. Its something that you can do with just 2 of your buddies, and it can keep you playing for years. It allows you to aim for a level of mastery with your class thats uncomparable to just grinding warzones for hours. I mean lets face it..... Warzones get boring, the raids honestly just arent that good atm, and once you finish them all in a couple weeks they become boring as hell (maybe if the raids were longer and more epic, but frankly a swtor raid feels like a wow instance) Anyways all im trying to say is this game needs arenas. It would keep me playing it, it would keep hundreds of thousands if not millions of players playing it. And to those that say arenas will ruin this game, I say thats the biggest bunch of bullcrap ive ever heard. If bioware implements a single 3v3 ladder, there would be no balancing issues. Bottom line is, arenas can easily be implemented without any sacrifice to any aspect of the game. And in return it would keep many players like myself playing it. Thanks PS: The best time me and my guildies/friends had in our swtor experience was when we hosted our dueling/arena tournament. A bunch of people in tatooine, just fighting for the sake of competition, fun, and self improvement. If only there was a built in system that let us maintain this pleasure.
