  1. Would Thana be a great companion? I certainly think so. Even though I made my choice with her if I knew I could have her on my side I'd certainly take it. I just don't see it happening because I think Bioware is going to make the fates of most characters in this game permanent. If you saw a corpse, that's the way they'll stay. In the case of a character I will not mention we didn't actually see his body. We knocked him off a bridge. If you don't find a corpse then the sky is the limit. This game has taken enough queues from WoW as it is. Let's not start bringing back the dead who were quite clearly laying at our feet. It reduces the impact that life or death has.
  2. I'm sorry what? I couldn't hear you over the borderline insults. Try to be more civil next time and maybe we'll have a more meaningful exchange.
  3. It's not worth it to create the tremendous amount of headache that would come from doing that for the reasons already given. While I would like to see companion choices down the road where choosing one means losing the other (not the current ones, just future ones) I think you're just going to have to deal with what you have for now. Though if the leaked info for upcoming patches on Torhead is true, we'll be getting HK-51 as a companion and judging from some of his datamined dialogue lines he'll probably be a lot of fun.
  4. It's one thing for a choice to have a consequence when it was there from the beginning. To create a consequence for a choice after the fact is not a good idea. They already removed the ability for you to kill off or get rid of your companions because of the sheer amount of complaints they had during testing. And those people KNEW they could do that. What do you think the reaction would be when people find out they could have had Satele as a companion and a romance option for the Jedi Knight but only if they finished the class story as a lightside Jedi? Bricks would be shat and the flames would be intense.
  5. Maybe some people don't feel like getting into an endless debate with you? You've already made it obvious you will not accept anything but agreement with the way you think.
  6. I'm calling dibs on "The Penetrator".
  7. I killed her. With great pleasure. Stabbed her between the eyes with my lightsaber. I would do it again. Every time.
  8. Definitely want to see this as well as being able to zoom in.
  9. It's a credit sink to help keep the economy under control. You may also want to suspend disbelief or else you'll go mad when your lightsaber doesn't slice an arm off in one hit or someone doesn't explode into tiny pieces when being hit with a missile.
  10. There was plenty of information about the game. Beta videos were everywhere after the NDA was lifted. Everything that you needed to know to decide whether or not this game was yet another in the growing line of EQ/WoW type games was available. If you didn't do your research first that was your problem. If you're not willing to take the time to find out what your purchase will include when it was all out there in the open for you to find that you deserve 'wasting' every dollar you did. Perhaps try less impulse purchasing and make an informed purchase. You could have just as easily waited for reviews.
  11. Are you trolling or did you not read the weekly Q&A they posted today?
  12. I definitely would like to see Pazaak, Dejarik (holo chess), and Swoop Racing. Things like this give us something else to do in the game if we're bored of the usual.
  13. I love the idea of guild ships but I want to see them expand other guild features before moving towards this idea. One thing that has annoyed me to no end is that I cannot right click on a guild member's name and add them to my group. I have to actually add them to my friends list as well and do it from there. Guild calendars would be greatly appreciated. I love the ability to coordinate guild functions without having to use a website. I'd also like to see a way to lump a player and all their toons together in the guild roster. I hate seeing roster bloat when you have 30 people in your guild but there are over 100 characters listed. It would eliminate the need to create a separate alt rank as well as make it unnecessary to have the alts of officers also thrown into an officer rank. Like I said it just creates roster bloat. The guild leader should be able to tag an alt as belonging to a current member. Whichever toon they log in on will take the spot of their main in the roster panel along with a function to expand a list on that person showing who their alts are. All of their alts would automatically be given the rank of whatever their initial character is. This would also make it easier on the guild leader or officers to remove someone from the guild entirely should the need arise instead of searching through a list of names and tags to remove each individual toon. I'd also like to see a way for the guild leader to assign voluntary weekly guild missions and monthly guild goals. An example of a weekly guild mission could be for guild members to collect a certain number of grade 6 crafting materials. Upon completion the materials would be sent to the guild bank and the guild member would receive some kind of reward. What kind would be up to Bioware to figure out. An example of a monthly guild goal would be for guild members to create a group consisting of nothing but fellow guildmates and clear 20 hard mode flashpoints. Again, the reward for doing so could be decided by the devs. I would want to see something like that added after guild ships are in. A terminal could be placed in the ship for guild members to receive the weekly guild mission or maybe even an NPC that just gives some generic lines with some dialogue options.
  14. Declaring yourself the winner when you apparently also make the rules as to what qualifies as a valid statement is so amazingly arrogant that I can't even fathom it. Not to mention it's clear that you have no intention of actually having a meaningful exchange of ideas. You're fishing for arguments in some sad attempt of self-validation by playing a game that you have designed in your head that only you can win.
  15. Completely agree with this. I cannot begin to tell you how many times I have wasted time sitting through a cinematic dialogue only to find out it was a heroic mission and immediately abandoning it, feeling like someone owed me the last two or three minutes of my life back. Even worse, the number of times I saw a mission marker pop out that I either didn't see before or forgot about while I'm zipping by on a taxi and then either traveling all the way back (sometimes on my speeder or on foot at lower levels) and realizing I just wasted my time once again.
  16. I most definitely want to see chat bubbles with an option to turn them off for people who don't want to see them.
  17. Actually I want to see MORE social abilities.
  18. I think that considering faction imbalances and the lack of incentives for people to stick around after having achieved their daily and weekly missions, Ilum will probably become like Wintergrasp and Tol Barad.
  19. I don't mean to sound rude but if you're going to imply that Bioware doesn't listen to its community then you're actually guilty of not paying attention when they speak because target-of-target is confirmed to be coming in patch 1.2 among a few other things that the community has been asking for including guild banks and UI customization (though the ability to move your hot buttons around does not seem to be a part of that yet). They also just released patch 1.1.4 on the PTR which is going to allow people to customize the cooldown effects after the backlash they have been receiving on the changes they made and they even threw in a timer on your abilities which is something that a lot of people didn't ask for but were thrilled when they found out. Native threat meter is likely something that we will see soon enough considering how many people have asked for it. They probably didn't put companion health bars in the ops UI because the areas in which an ops group is needed don't allow for companions. However I would expect this to be something that comes eventually for people that use them in these environments even though you're using companions in content that was designed for 4 actual players. To be honest the only things you have on your list that seem to be a priority among the playerbase are a native threat meter and target-of-target. One of which is coming very soon. The rest of your suggestions are likely on the backburner. They can only do so much at one time and considering the number of people who have complained that Bioware is guilty of creating changes that keep causing more problems they're probably becoming a little shy about throwing chunks of them in at a time and will instead start focusing on getting one or two changes right the first time.
  20. I honestly don't see the skill trees lasting as they are. Bioware is likely going to run into the same balancing issues that Blizzard did and opt for a more simplistic way.
  21. Personally I agree here. At this point the debate goes nowhere. Both sides have made their cases. The same cases that were made pre-beta, during beta, at launch, and now post launch. For the forseeable future it's not happening. This whole idea really does need to be laid to rest for awhile. Come back to it at a later date. The amount of thought and energy that has gone into these posts could be used so much more on things that are serious issues in the game.
  22. I would at least have heavy handed moderation of the general forums. If it looks like someone is trolling with a thread or it's a topic that has already been beaten to death just delete it. Personally I think they allow way too many garbage and repeat threads.
