They can't get quests working when you have to jump, climb, and jump again. Especially when you get stuck between a snowball or whatever. LOL. I remember fleet datacrone "events" where pretty much the whole fleet was invited. And then people would swap characters until all of their toons had it. Or choose to visit a site where they provide you a guide, and follow their techniques! While there are a few that require you to work together with a small group; it's really only the Fleet Datacron, and a limited few others. I didn't mean it to "get rid of them". I was just frustrated. I was also not guilded so I had no one to ask for help. I have now given up on it (temporarily), so no harm done You need 4 people to get up there. Once up there we used to sit there and pull people up with sage/sorc. Some people charged. I'd offer for free and people often tipped me. I had people tip a million or more. It was a real sense of community. Once the majority of regular players had it, it started to become rare. As stat creep set in, those little stat boosts became worth much less. Honestly, I think the issue with Datacrons is there's no incentive to get them anymore so people don't (Mostly changed when they made datacrons legacy wide instead of character specific) I do think they need to add some kind of little bonus to make them worth doing again like collecting on new characters gives a pet or title or something. Yes, so e are bloody hard to get to. FYI I have a smuggler permanently parked at the rather-difficult Makeb mastery dc... It was a relief when they made them a legacy wide unlock, but, now I'm enjoying doing them all over again on a new 'spare account' preferred account (I play on 4 computers now) Have fun! BulbulusTheGreat Posted May 8 Share Posted May 8 as frustrating as some datacrons can be i don't agree with this at all, they're completly optional and shouldn't be removed just becuse you find them hard, some of them enjoy it and want to get them, i personally enjoy hunting a datacron down and then learning its lore.
