  1. I'm not the only one with this problem, why don't you go attack someone else for a change: https://forums.swtor.com/topic/934766-system-chat-spam-please-help/?do=getNewComment Just because you refuse to see there is problem, doesn't make the problem non-existant. However it makes you the problem because people are trying to get it fixed, but you are arguing against it because "you don't have a problem with it". Not the brightest thing to do I would say.
  2. Considering hundreds of people are hunting him non stop on respawn, I call it understandable. I too would bring more weapons considering the circumstances. 😄
  3. Don't worry about it too much. I can only get it on my main dps spec, but I'm still invited with my offspecs too, because the raid leads know I know what I'm doing and they can count on me pulling my weight where it's needed. I'm never the highest dps in a group, but I have least damage taken and I do the mechanics reliably. I meant it more like "aim higher" rather than being so satisfied with it that you'd stop progressing.
  4. I would aim for 30k on a dummy, so you can afford a bit of downtime on bossfights, especially if you are planning NiM content. That being said, if you are new to ops, your dps isn't as important as staying alive. Dead dps = 0 dps. Don't be that guy who is standing in stupid because numbers. When you learn the fights, better numbers will follow as long as you've got your gear and rotation right.
  5. What the.... <scrolls back to check> oh wow, I really wrote warstalker. I totally meant Elite Warlord. Good catch! Too much spamming EC NiM lately. 😅 I don't remember how long it took me to get Elite Warlord, it was longer than 3-4 months, but I also played multiple characters & classes back then so that didn't help. I ended up having it on two alts before I quit playing pvp. Had I focused on one alt only, 3-4 months sounds plausible. But pvp was popping all the time, no matter what time of day.
  6. No. Elite Warstalker is pretty much the only title worth anything in the game left, because you can't buy that one.
  7. You can still control your movements even if you get the debuff from the adds: just run against it. If you want to turn right, turn left instead. The character doesn't stop moving so you need to steer it all the time, which is not great with channeled abilities.
  8. Soon they will notice people are doing heroics more than they intended, and the heroics are creating too much credits into the economy and then they will nerf it back and call it a day.
  9. You forgot to add the screenies from pvp and gsf to show the gross disparity. Not that it really matters, because you also don't seem to understand that you need to complete those ops to get any points at all. Uou won't complete HM but especially not MM if you are not actively hitting the correct buttons, while in GSF and PVP you can complete theirs by being afk. Either your understanding of the game is very limited or you are deliberately posting misinformation.
  10. Okay, that is a good reason. And yes, I know I'm missing a some pug endgame content by not being on any LFG channel, but that's why I'm on a lot of discord servers. They are better than LFG channels because I don't even have to be in game to see the callouts and I can easily pretend I'm not there and don't see any callouts, when I'm not in the mood for doing anything. This topic started on suggestion to add a general LFG tab to the game. Someone suggested custom channels. I responded and explained why custom channels are not a good option for everyone and what in particular is the problem with them. You don't see those as problems, so clearly they aren't a problem for you, but you don't get to say I'm making things up or inventing problems that are real for me. If you have to enter a building with stairs or even a few steps, there's no problem if you have two functioning legs. However it is a problem for someone sitting in a wheelchair. Do you go out and tell the person in a wheelchair that they are just inventing a problem? Or do you understand that their experience and point of view in that situation is different than yours. Now imagine that same person in wheelchair saying in public that they have a problem entering the building because there's a step they can't get over, they would want a ramp next to the stairs. Do you start arguing that there is no problem (because you don't have one) or acknowledge that the entrance doesn't work for everyone? Because you're now basically arguing against having a server wide LFG tab (what OP suggested) because "you don't have a problem with custom chat channels".
  11. Okay thanks. I have a vague memory of such vendor, now I just need to figure out which character I used to do the missions with, if it has to be the same one.
  12. I checked mine a few days ago, I was at 480 or something without farming anything, I just raid a lot. So just as I said in another topic, the drop rate is fine. It literally doesn't require any farming at all if you play the correct content. Kinda like with conquest. Pvp and gsf players are getting showered with conquest points, raiders get the blueprints, which is fair. Ideally everyone would get everything they need from whatever content they want to play, but since that is not happening, at least pvp and gsf players have to work for the blueprints and not just get participation rewards like they already do with conquest.
  13. And also level up to 50 to be able to use it for conquest. It's not like you can create a character, not play it at all, and just use rep tokens. Those 50 levels don't come from sitting in a stronghold.
  14. It's valid for people who don't play pvp because they like it, but play it for cqp. For that we can thank BS because there are not enough good conquest objectives for pve. To be competitive in conquest, people need to play pvp. BS wants more people to play pvp but are unwilling to do the changes it requires, so they just toss in random conquest players who don't care about pvp at all. The result is quite obvious.
  15. I haven't tried to decorate Copero SH yet, but sounds like we really need an option to shrink/enlarge our current decorations. It's been so long I really don't remember anymore... Is it a reputation kind of vendor that you can eventually access with every character, or do I need to find the one and only character who's done that serious of quests sometimes in the past?
  16. Incorrect. Yeah I know what his point was, but I disagree because I care about the names showing. He doesn't care that I care, which is fine by me, but it doesn't give him a right to attack me. Just because something isn't a problem for you or him, it's a problem for me. I don't want my logins and logouts announced on a custom chat channel and no amount of personal attacks will make me want it. What I don't get it why are you guys so invested in trying to force me to join a channel I don't want to join? It's none of your or anyone else's business. Incorrect. I know how to join custom chat channels, but I don't know anything about turning off system messages (nor do I care). The people who's streams I've seen haven't turned them off either because I can see their system messages and people logging in and out in the streams all the time.
  17. There is nothing wrong with stockpiling items earned in game. That includes tokens, credits, armor sets, mats, craftables and so on, any item you can think of. It's the same as they suddenly decided that people playing in Revan outfit are over-represented, and they'd decide to remove a bunch of details and change the texture to discourage people from using it. The so called problem would have ended eventually when people run out of them. If someone saved them up and chose conquest over the achievement, they should be allowed to keep them and utilize them as they see fit, especially when the achievement is not on the table anymore. Also nerfing them would have never been a problem (at least not on this scale) if they hadn't changed personal conquest goal from 50k to 100k at the beginning of 7.0.
  18. Who says you have to? There are smaller yields. The conquest rewards aren't worth getting bored and starting to hate the game either. If you are the GM, set it to smaller yield. If you are not, ask the GM to do it. If they won't, stop doing conquest until they will or change guilds. My guilds are on small yield because conquest has been made such a grind. The only reason we still do it sometimes is to buy guild perks, and that doesn't require 5 million points. Even guild perks aren't really needed because we mostly do NiM content and guild perks don't work there. We just have them for crafting. Would be easier to join some other guild for crafting perks, but a lot of guilds have activity rules, minimum conquest point requirements and so on, which makes them not really worth joining. Especially with the restrictions BW set on guild bank access and first week conquest points for new members.
  19. GS currency is a different item than GS token. GS tokens you get as rewards, and the cap is 15, GS currency cap was 200. But now that you mentioned GS currency, maybe that's what the poster I quoted meant too. All they had to do to fix that would have been to remove reputation from the seasons and keep the event and daily area's reputation as they were.
  20. The system logs are on by default. How do I know that? Because I haven't touched any chat settings. If they are on by default, it means by default the chat announces the logins and logouts for everyone who hasn't changed their settings. I don't have problems with federal agents tracking me, but sounds like you do because you are bringing them up when they have nothing to do with the subject. I know exactly how the system works, however you seem to lack understanding of the issue. Not sure why are you attacking me though, because it doesn't concern you at all.
  21. Yeah, they want to keep players engaged with the galactic seasons, but at the same time they don't, because they actively nerf the rewards and add grind every time they see too many people are actually getting those rewards. Some people are fine with the latest nerf, because they can compensate with heroics, but how long until they die of boredom? Other's have unsubbed already.
  22. A few errors regarding reputation tokens that needs correcting: - Rep tokens don't magically appear into our inventory. We have to play content to get them. - Seasons tokens can't be used to buy rep tokens. - You also have to level up to 50 to be able to use rep tokens for conquest.
  23. I don't remember how it was with HK parts, but when I was looking for the special treasures for the achievements, there used to be a red text telling "this area has been drained from treasures" or something like that, if someone has just found something. If you get that message when enter the area, then you'll have to go back later or try changing instance. However if you don't see any notification, the part should be there. The area is huge though, it might take some time.
  24. Are you seriously trying to make an argument about THIS topic? Okay then. No-one needs to "waste their time looking for me", or anyone else even to be precise, because the chat announces everyone's logins and logouts automatically. Hence my complaint about the custom chat announcing everyone's logins and logouts. Why would I add my friends to my ignore list? Besides, even if I would do something so stupid because someone random in the webby said so, that doesn't stop the chat announcing my logins and logouts, which is the problem. Also, ever heard of discord? It's the platform you use to contact people you know from the game if you want to play with them. Blocking people in game doesn't block them from contacting me in discord. And again: I have no intention to block my friends in discord and it wouldn't even stop the custom chat login/logout announcements, which is the problem. So? Just because people are doing it despite the privacy issue, doesn't mean everyone else should throw away their privacy to access the chat. It's simply not worth it. Again, it's 80 things and losing privacy of 80 characters, forever (or until leaving the custom channel with all 80 of them). I value my privacy even if you don't. However my privacy is my issue, not yours.
