SexySensei
I am getting low fps on SWTOR in many outdoor areas (around 15-20) and even lower in warzones, I have shadows off and all my settings on low and vsync off (except resolution, which is 1920x1000 to match my monitor). Anyone else having this issue and have fixes? Here are the DXDIAG spec things. Comradebot
1. Try a lower resolution 2. Leave shadows off, vsync off, bloom off, and convo depth of field off... turn EVERYTHING else to high. This isn't a joke, try it out. If it's still a little crappy, turn Shader Complexitity to Low, too.

Lonewolf
Latest graphics drivers? Are you playing windowed or full screen? Let me know
OFWGNilbog
Lower your resolution. 1920 puts a huge strain on a single card, even if you have enough VRAM.
SexySensei
I am playing on windowed (fullscreen) mode and have all the latest drivers.
Lonewolf
What soundcard do you use? Sometimes that can have an effect, sounds bizarre but seen it happen Have you got the latest soundcard drivers?
hamstercake
Lower your resolution. 1920 puts a huge strain on a single card, even if you have enough VRAM. I second that. By lowering your resolution you´ll notice a performance gain.

Stormnut
Try the beta NVidia Drivers. I saw a 15 to 20 FPS boost with shadows on low and every other setting high and with 1900x1080. I was also having crashing issues and have none since. I have a 8800gts card by the way. Hope this helpshttp://www.geforce.com/Drivers/Results/40608
Kourage
I run on 1680x1050 and I've been trying to figure out the best alternative resolution for my 21" widescreen and HD5770 card. I also only have a Duo Core 2.2GHz.
Skizzik
This is what I did to raise my fps when I play on my laptop. Go into preferences and under graphics choose the high setting and click apply. Then, choose the low setting and turn off shadows and click apply. This method changed my fps from about 10 to about 40. Hope this helps.
mikules
While "Force" settings are not supported yet in this game (thanks to the lack of response from Nvidia), you still need to create an Nvidia control panel profile for the game. Profiles have special enhancements to games that are created by the developers of the drivers. Right click on Desktop Select "Nvidia Control Panel" Select "Manage 3D settings" in left pane Select "Program Settings" Select "Add" Browser out to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\BioWare\Star Wars - The Old Republic\swtor\retailclient" (or wherever you installed the game) Select the exe file "swtor.exe" and press OK Leave all settings default. This will use the profile features for the game. If you wish to run Anti-Aliasing in the game, you can visit my blog instructions here: http://ipkonfig.com/how-to-enable-aa-and-as-in-swtor Edited December 30, 2011 by mikules
