I decided to buy a hypercrate because I really wanted to get the new lightsaber you hyped up. Upon opening every single pack do you know how many "new" items I got?? 5... out of all those packs I got 5, 4 of which were Skotia's armor boxes. The rest were those stupid cubes which gave me a lot of old crap. If this is how the packs are going to be I will not be buying anymore of them. I'm done. Aeneas_Falco Posted February 11, 2016 Share Posted February 11, 2016 If you are buying crates for a specific item, it's best to just sell the pack on the GTN. With the credits you earn from the sale, you should be able to purchase the item(s) you want on the GTN. If you purchase from the GTN you are just about guaranteed to get the item you want, whereas with the cartel market packs it is all a gamble. The best route to go is just to earn the credits in game and purchase the item on the GTN without trading real world money, but if you're short of creds and want the item *now*...don't gamble for it. Buy packs or some other highly sought after (and highly priced) item to sell on the GTN, and use the creds to purchase the item you want. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Jedi_riches Posted February 11, 2016 Share Posted February 11, 2016 I only got the new pack because I had enough free coin to purchase a hypercrate but boy 95% of it was rubbish (even if I was a new player) and mostly chance cubes. I would not be using a single penny of rl money on sets like this while the chance cube "mechanics" are in place I don't like that much RNG with my RNG. I spent $20 this morning I was hoping to get at least one- Circular Bike (New version of Monobike) Dual saber or regular Spa Decoration Other neat decorations What I got- a **** ton of stupid ? boxes resulting in blaster no one is going to want dual blade saber thing which is kinda neat but won't use on anyone 3 legacy titles a ton of armor I'm probably going to sell and make almost nothing back because no on wants it 3 mounts also selling rishii tree some other stupid decoration lots of jawa junk (I'm cool with getting the jawa junk its at least something I can use) Part of me wants to demand a refund, for how stupid this is. Old crates are popular because you almost always got a mount, set of armor, companion gift, possible pet, jawa junk, AND Decoration. NOT JUST ONE. You were actually getting your moneys worth. These new crates hype up some awesome in game stuff but its freaking laughable that you even have chances to get it. Really, really, really, disappointed in bioware right now. On other news, Is there anyone else like me that after spending $50USD or more on the packs and getting 99% junk, your enjoyment of SWTOR suddenly just disappears leaving you with a sense of disappointment and ***-ness? I depressed quit to desktop 3 days ago and now even if I log in back, I just run around in circles at base then quit and go play XCom 2. But mostly I just play XCom 2. It is like I am waiting for something to hype me up again to play SWTOR. Something like they upgrading retroly the packs or sending us an apology item and post.... Just something.... On other news. Now they are getting even slicker these days instead of putting upper lower and suppilmentry body armor crates in the packs they now just give you a piece of armor. They devs are killing this game they are putting recipe pieces needed to craft items and only making them available to people who run ops and flashpoints on hard mode. They are trying to make me play the game their way and not how I want to play it. Its just not fun.They are taking the fun out of the game. I am going to have to seriously consider stop playing this game . It doesn't seem to be worth my time and money anymore. all we have now in America is 8 servers from 125 when the game started. Europe has more. That should tell you something. IF THE DEVS ARE LISTENING STOP PLAYING WITH THE PACKS. or this game wont see 8 years at this rate. Also when you sell something on the GTN the game takes like I forgot what the number was but its like 10 to 15% of the money you make on every item. That has to stop too all we do is pay at the game is robbing us. They should not make us pay for packs and then collect 10 to 15%. Still cubes are on most GTN for 350K so if they do sell (I always open mine) well that may be a fair return. A cube 350k a blaster rifle 10k. Of cause we all want that super rare but lets face it it's always been a gamble. Still, yes a few more of the new items would be nice BW. As for the game is robbing us crap in some posts, well no sorry, players could say that at first, but it is well known now as there's been enough threads/posts about it that you all know full well the returns on this, do not confuse robbery with stupidity. Actually its robbery. The return rates on biowares packs are below what a regulated Las Vegas casino would be allowed to set its payout rates at. They would be fined if this was regulated like the gambling it is and most likely they would have been asked to fix it before being allowed to sell more packs. Much like online casinos, card games, fantasy sports, these entities have been getting away with some rather shaddy trading of money for a chance to win something. Whether that is cash for cash or cash for something internal, its rather shaddy of a business to set its random numbers below what a casino would be allowed to set a slot machine at. Of the packs I've bought its usually for a specific item(s) but Often I didn't even get that and the flood of things I didn't want , Only received parts of, got several repeats the junk items. Why *Pay over5000 CC (A lot of money RL) for a greater chance you wont get what you want flooded with Junk you cant do anything else with. This has always been a really bad idea. I wont be spending much in the market .How about a way to *Recycle the items we didn't want since they seem to always be nearly all we get?
