  1. Never thought about that.... The only Saboteur I care anything about is still the same one that has been on my radar since the last bits of the Zakuul story, "Ashara", the biggest princess in the galaxy and it was made sure that princess got everything she wanted. Great way to make the Inquisitor proud, gee thanks....
  2. Companions, Make them relevant again. If they're going to keep the "We cant afford so many VA's" then adding all of the others to every class would've inflamed that much more. Anybody can make Lasers and everybody makes Explosions it's the Dialogue, the Depth of the scene and relationships the Class stories and original Companions were built to establish that matters most here. Space adventures are great especially when its Star Wars.... *Related, but doing that with characters you dislike and/or don't know is worse then losing; it's Grating, every statement, every scene.
  3. Make our Companions "An Important Part of the Story" again, like they were intended. As it's been *Since Zakuul the only ones that have anything (Much less Depth) are the ones I care Nothing about.
  4. I used to do the entire routine "Report>Ignore" Over the years, Other threads with this topic and their seeming Invulnerability even one remark that it requires a certain number of reports within a certain amount of time to get attention it really seems like bailing water out of the boat in the middle of a lake, just no progress; same with the toxics and other .... odd chatters. I guess I've cut off all other communications and spend enough time in single player activities I never noticed any *Reduction in the gold spammers and toxics.
  5. Bioware is not going to do anything about them. You can ignore them and hope somebody else fix's it but Honestly BW isn't going to do anything about that. I know that sounds bad, but that's what this is going to come to in the end.
  6. I would take the "E-1"; not the most Imaginative choice I know but it does make several other of my points. 1, It's not so big it looks like it would be cumbersome or get in the way. 2, I like the realistic finish, that matte texture looks much better to me then something overly flashy (Gaudy) or wealth and more like a trophy or toy. 3, Some of the weapons in SWTOR are really... funky. The Stormtroopers "Blaster Rifle" being based on the "Sten Gun" with me really gets points. 4, May be silly but I like the sounds and blast look. 5, and Yes to me "Its Star Wars". This is my input and how I came to that rifle for any future character I may start. Hope it helps.
  7. Well Xordevoreaux I do agree largely with your opinions. I'm "Old School" in this as I watched "Star Wars" years ago and since 77 I've been predominantly Movies based. I have read many many books, short stories and others over the years and my acceptance test has always remained... If it worked in the movies #1, Was Lucas involved in the creation of this #2 Did Lucas endorse this #3 and Lastly Would this fit in the parameters of the story Lucas told/ is telling #4 In #4 the best example I can think of is "Rogue One"; that story/ movie fit in 100%, every facet of RO fits in exactly with what Lucas has told. Over the Decades some stories just strayed too far, brought in issues that are very contradictory to the Core Story often twisting and or convoluting what was actually said/ seen in Lucas's movies just to prove that issue's validity. When issues (Often very very Minor) need to be stretched beyond reason, said to be a lie or otherwise too limiting just so something a minor story can elaborate any story (ex. Star Wars) will get what I call "The Abrams Effect". That term came Before SW it started with "Star Trek" the original story/ characters bastardized simply so one person can change a popular name to what "That Person" wants. Maybe that's too limiting but we've all watched popular movies/ genre's over the last years typically from the 80's be turned into some very much "Not Appealing at All" just because some cant get past what they want and not remembering it was never theirs to begin with. Rogue One is very very much a liked movie, the fact that it does fit in very well is a big part of that. The Mandalorian also is very much liked, it also fits in very well with what Lucas set down as a post Battle of Endor story setting.
  8. I don't necessarily like the kill option for any Comp especially the Romanceable ones considering every one is somebody's "Special Person" but going straight to "Attitude time" prevented any dialog based "Outs". For the Default Sith Inquisitor (Majority) at that point it became a battle; be a wimp or be who you always were. If the writer and co had put a bit more thought into the dialog leading up to that point the "ShowDown" could've been avoided, even for the Sith. As soon as any Comp in this game gets that option that character will seemingly never get another part in the story going forward. That short talk scene leading up to the PSR (Point of Safe Return) lead to only two or three outcomes. They made it seem like Ashara was back itching for a fight (for the Main story line players). Worst Attitude at the wrong place in the worst time, just toxic. That particular Ashara is lying to herself if she thinks she's a Jedi; might as well put on all black go to Kaas city and see if anybody wants her services.
  9. After everything Our SI's do during the class story Defeating Thanaton, (someone that did kill us earlier and Zash/Marr didn't think it was possible). Considering we've fought Arcann, Vaylin defeated "The Sith Emperor" and a seemingly unending hordes of bad guys. What did Ashara do. The minimum of anything, laying around. But The writer wanted Ashara (Oh poor me > Hear me roar) to be *Atleast our equal in fending off (quite easily it looked) what we defeated those other Boss's (The Sith Emperor inc.) with. Also, That plan was OK'd to use. The twit, weakest Force user crew member. Didn't anybody consider we are supposed to be Proud and like our characters? For the LS Inquisitors Ashara's New role would be good but that is not the default story and the DS Sith, Inquisitor is not going to allow being usurped or even an equal. I believe if they varied the two directions More on atleast this one companion everybody woulda been far happier.
  10. This was another very great moment and achievement in Earths progression beyond this small blue planet.
  11. I always thought Jolee did a pretty good explanation of all that. It's not the "Love" aspect, it's the "Passions" and where they lead plus how those people "Deal with their Inflamed Feelings". It's true, the typical Jedi stance is Over protective but again Vader and many others are the consequence of ignoring that.
  12. Has anybody checked on how much attention Anthem is getting again after bombing twice? https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-02-08/electronic-arts-to-decide-fate-of-anthem-game-this-week It's by Jason Schreier so people can think what they want but the date is current. Alot of this hesitation in SWTOR's progress may be they're focused on reviving the twice zombie Anthem.
  13. BW's quick fix was a web link that scanned and offered new video drivers. Again my last machine after it started getting old I just replaced the components as needed to extend its life. Now this machine being HP it doesn't allow outside code. I've found techniques to get around those policies or I could upgrade the video system, but for just one game that is slow to put out expansions, no.
  14. Yes, BW's "quick Fix" woulda worked on my older machine (Zakuul Story time) but this one from HP it doesn't (HP is very Picky about what is acceptable) so normally I would be installing a Different brand Video but back to the issue before it is only this game so that's not really so compelling. This machine does run new games like... Empyrion, Skyrim EMB mods, Space Engineers. Considering it's only when this game puts out something *New, I'd imagine I can wait
  15. I may not play alot of internet games I can say this is the only game that does crash; almost predictably so. It's the Cut Scenes, especially the longer ones I always know they're coming so *When I see they're soon to start (Basically Never if I've never played whatever before). So for that I do *Stop, Downgrade the graphics (Preplanned settings) and try to enjoy the scene (Not Immersion breaking at all........). CS did give me a quick reply on how to try to prevent this but their Fix doesn't apply to my PC.
  16. I still think Disney doesn't know/cant decide what they want to do if anything at all about Revan, Old Republic, Origins of the Sith, Early Jedi any of it really. I have seen interviews of KK where (ofcourse) Revan was mentioned, she gave a non committal answer and ended that answer with something similar to "Things are happening" something like that. If they do Commit to anything, it push's other elements off of the table of possibilities and brings in others. *If they're going to, they may be trying to make the best decision with the widest latitude of possibilities. As much as I would *Like, to see a Larger Old Republic platform, considering......Disney, I'd be Very Cautious they follow continuity and fan accepted (preferred) Lore. Disney hasn't pleased as much of Star Wars fans as they could've.
  17. Your probably right on the "One less issue to continue" part. When I was big on my SI I thought it would be cool as an ongoing part of the Inquis story if they did give an Insight or even a critique of a decision just before you selected, On those events the SI could have a second chance to make their final decision but that would be a rare occasion they may be right or wrong. Luke had insights from time to time, that would be a good thing here as another way to differentiate the class's from each other (Every class has aspects to set that one from the rest, but that's a different subject).
  18. These were all great characters and they "Died" usually in a befitting way as to their Importance, Greatness and Impact on good stories. However when they come back they're often a bit less shiny, their role is diminished and character just isn't what it used to be thus Diminishing the memory. If it goes on long enough the once Icon makers become just another nobody you see everywhere often doing who cares what. This isn't everybody ofcourse but for myself, I'd prefer to remember them for how they created good stories that lead to now and not yesterdays news.
  19. This is also what I'm wondering. Classic StormTroopers (My fav), Clone troopers at some stage of their armor or First Order Troopers? Who is the "Big bad Guy(s)", what state are the Good Guys? So many questions Skyrim would be a good example for Open World, Story Driven. Just not one Province but half of a Galaxy.
  20. I never gave them up ( Not a chance). I always figured once the SI was able to cope with the voices and other issues as times goes on and they fade into obscurity they just merged together themselves and on into becoming the SI. By the time the SI's story came to "The Hunt" the SI is 99.5% one entity with maybe just an odd thought or impulse occasionally. I did wonder about them concerning Valkorian but as little attention as Val gave them I thought of that as reinforcing they are the SI now.
  21. This is the one I'm watching . Open World, Story Driven, Star Wars. Sounds good so far.
  22. Report them, Ignore them, tell your friends and go on having a good time. In this game that's about the best.
  23. Fueling the absurd prices on the GTN; if it's not offered on the CM people will have to go to the GTN. When that happens and the demand rises the GTN Guru's can jack up their prices to what they often become (Sci Fi scale prices). Whether BW does this with That intention or not that still is the result. I still believe the CM should offer *Much more at any given time. The more they offer the wider range of items (Commerce) players will pay directly to BioWare (That would also reduce the GTN superflation). I rarely buy anything from the CM simply because they never/rarely offer anything I want and haven't bought anything from the GTN in years reason #1 being the tycoon like prices.
  24. I didn't say "Quitting *Because of those; I said quitting because of the Zakuul story. The Steam part is typically the graveyard where old games and small lower budget games go. E.A lately has lately also partnered with steam likely due to Steams widespread offering. The Login rewards are another sign of... Wanting people to login in. Neither of these were present Before but are here now (Changes, downward signs from they way it was before). As for the "Single Digit Populations Main Planets" part, I do still spend a good amount of time on Tat Stronghold; the Population that I'm seeing is at times a single digit. I didn't like the Zakuul story for a number of reasons one being the separation of the P.C.'s and their companions then supplanting the companions with the Zakuul preferred La...characters. That story took the game too far out into left field and considering the fire here in the forums during that time and lack of the same amount of forum/game activity nowadays it seems many others agree' d Zakuul was not good to SWTOR.
