Yes, another "save full auto/unload" thread.

Really though, why would the devs remove a hallmark attack from a basic class and give it to the advanced class that has least use of it? That's like giving Master Chief his AR and telling him he can only fire 5 rounds per magazine. From what I understand one of the Mando/Merc specs has an upgraded version of the move itself and the other is so heavy on its rotation that full auto/unload is nothing more than a badly placed filler.

I understand the need for balance, but this is not the way. Removing the only rapid fire attack a class with a blaster rifle is just downright silly. Albeit dropping the PT's unload on a pew-pew blaster is slightly more acceptable, even the Scoundrel has its own version of a spray and pray (Volley).

How about Van/PT tanks? Yeah, spamming the basic moves for 6 turns while waiting for any kind of proc is a lot of fun. Please reconsider devs.

hammer shots - 7 hits over 1.5 seconds

Full auto - 4 hits over 3 seconds.

Yep. Rapid fire rifle attack removed.

Also by your logic, Pulse Cannon should be removed from PTs/VGs because it is only used by 1 spec and is clunky in its implementation for said spec

Alnd if you need 6 turns to use something other than HS as a tank, you're doing it wrong. Protip - Tanks use more than just the moves they pick up in tank tree + hammer shots

Two.

VG: Shield Specialist and Plasmatech

PT: Shield Tech and Pyrotech

Commando/Merc has no need for Full Auto/Unload? It's highest damage ability in Gunnery/Arsenal unless they stealth nerfed it.

Oh but Shield Tech/Shield Specialist gets Firestorm/Ion Storm which is twice as strong so it doesn't need flamethrower!

I never used full auto/unload on my Vanguard and Powertech lol. I don't see why so many people are complaining about it. It's ridiculous. If you were regularly using that ability at level 60, I'd say there is something wrong with you and you need to play a different class.

Personally, I found it to be a kind of "trade mark" for every Trooper - no matter which advanced class. Now only Hammershot remains.

I seriously planned to play my Vanguard with rifle only - for my personal enjoyment and not playing in groups at all.

Now, I can't, because Bioware decided that Vanguards should be mid-lange chars.

Commando remains, but has to use that giant cannot, whereas the Vanguard was free from that.

A Commando exclusively using a rifle is imho far more gimped than a Vanguard exclusively using his rifle ...

In short : I just don't agree with Bioware's vision on how I should play my classes.

Drakensang offline was so much better, it never forced me to play classes in a certain way.
