Neoforcer
Most of us stealthers just phase walk near the Endzone so all this will do is punish stealth shadow/sin because they touched you in a bad spot. it wont stop from making the game boring because the game is fine as is. Offsides would be football were not playing football as the ball in football does not go boom. So as idea go yours is fail troll at best. So your idea sucks Edited March 6, 2015 by Neoforcer
-Healius-
Maybe no stealthing in the end zone? if you control mid then stealthers waiting in the end zone are eventually going to give up waiting anyway. Tanks are the classes you have to worry about more. My PT Tank with jet boost and 25% Hydraulic overrides really does control the game :-). A good team will always have a stealth defender checking for enemys without getting leaped on by the ball carrier. Malastare
After playing some more Huttball, I'm even more convinced that an offside rule is needed. ...and everyone else is not. What should we conclude from that?
NeuroniaSW
An offside rule would require each team to actually use some sort of tactic. No, it would just make a team turtle around the ball carrier, with the team looking like this: BC = Ball Carrier X = other teammates X X BC X X X X Or something of the sort. Offsides would not add anything unless you want to institute a penalty kick or corner kick to allow the other team to convert a goal that way. And that? Is never going to happen. Just gank the stealther and take the ball back to their end.
LoverNoFighter
An offside rule would elevate the game to a higher level and also present a tactical challenge. I know people want to play in easy mode but that gets boring really fast.

FerkWork
Also it's Huttball, there shouldn't be a rule because there are no rules save one! DONT KICK THE BALL. The game where murder, cannibalism, and cheating are all encouraged. Adding rules to huttball is like adding rules to a street brawl. BenKatarn
We need an offside rule to make the Huttball matches interesting. The whole point of Huttball is that it has no rules. You win by whatever means necessary. It's all for a crimelord's entertainment.

Draqsko
It's not that difficult to understand the offside rule. Huttball is closest to American Football, and there's no offsides in American Football. In fact the whole point of the offense is to PASS the ball BEHIND the defenders. Play safety if a stealther in the endzone bothers you, but really the only time it works against good players is the first time, and even then alot of people give it away by running straight into the pit. Draqsko
You can still pass the ball behind the defense with an offside rule. Or you could learn to play the game by its rules, instead of trying to change them. I mean really, a stealth skulking in the endzone isn't really helping his team. He's letting his team try to control mid with only 7 people versus the other team's 8. The only time that strategy works is if the stealther's team CAN control mid with less people than the other team. In that case, an offsides rule won't help, because you are being dominated while being short a player, so making that player go back to mid is not going to help your situation. Having a stealther sit in the endzone means nothing if you can't get the ball from mid. If your team of 8 can't stop a team of 7 from getting the ball in mid and moving out to a position to pass to that stealther, you certainly aren't going to stop them from getting the ball in mid with 8 players there. Because... logic...
