Max_Killjoy Posted January 24, 2015 Share Posted January 24, 2015 Just what we need another thread about slot machines, Anyway when a new slot machine type comes out will you want to purchase the pack that contains it ? and where is our damm Kell Dragon mount do we have to exploit Styrak in DP or Scum to get it ? I don't buy packs, I wait for things to show up on GTN. I used to use the free CC from sub to buy a few, but the drop rate on anything I actually want is effectively 0 -- I've NEVER received anything I was hoping for from a pack. They messed up putting them in the pack, and had a limited time sale on the rep vendor with no rep requirement. On the bright side, with the recently posted cantina dialog, GTN prices on those slots should crash pretty hard so you can probably get a few on the cheap of the GTN instead of having to buy packs to get them. Drop rates are actually way better now. I bought 2 hypercrates from the last shipment and got pretty much everything I wanted (including every outfit set, only missing one piece on each, and it was just minor pieces, not chests or helmets). Pre-nerf, I could see people buying packs hoping to get a machine. Post-nerf, your attitude will prevai, and mightily so. But I think we all know that. EDIT: That said, I'm still not buying any more packs. I've never purchased a hypercrate, that's far more than I want to spend on RNG roulette. That depends entirely on what else I want from the pack. If it is just a specific item, I'll buy it with creds...much more efficient that way.
