Bioware says NO LFD TOOL.

You're meant to talk to the people you are grouping with, maybe add a couple to your friends list?

I don't want to socialise with the people I group with; I just want to do the *********** quest. I have a guild to socialise with, and if they were at my level, I would be doing it with them.

That is what comes after the grp is formed has nothing really to do with a lfg tool at all. you can talk with them no matter what system is in place. but i will repeat doing /1 lfg xx isnt socializing, it is meaningless action that would be much easier handle by a tool designed for it.

Ps im not having problems getting grps either btw but i can see this as a problem in a few months or if you work odd hours.

I'd rather see all the people looking for a group in the channel than all the trolls that have been popping up in the last couple of days.

I also don't get why people don't use the LFG that is there already I use it all the time and have had some success. I guess people are just too lazy to click the planet title and then check a box that says "Looking For Group".

People want to log on, launch the LFD tool and run an instance without having to talk to people or "waste" time. This people should get themselves an xbox live account and go play CoD, BF3 or whatever they want. MMOs are clearly not for them but if we don't stop them and kick them out of here TOR will die, because it will become a wow clone and they will leave anyway

we need 'em out of here ASAP

Person with anti-social personality unable to function in game with strong social context. We need to get this breaking news out on the AP wire.

Person with uppity holier-than-thou masochistic hyper-social disorder thinks they know what's best for everyone, news at 11. One million people play SWTOR already, if you think everyone should like everyone else, you are deluded. The vast majority of people are *********** retarded, and I certainly don't group with them for the conversation. Some are not, and those are the ones I would prefer to socialise with.

It's not about liking, but if you are afraid to talk to people and want a machine to do it for you then perhaps you're playing the wrong sort of game.

You are deluded if you think that a LFG tool will turn the game in to WoW. It's like CoD refusing to implement a character progression metagame because it would have made it too like Battlefield 2!

It's one feature in a game which has hundreds which define it. You clearly have never experienced the horror of playing a DPS class in a MMO which doesn't have a LFG tool.

Please DO NOT fall for the lazy part of this community Bioware !

And to all those lazy associal bastards : it is not about "spamming" the general chat. It is about COMMUNICATING between players once someone answered such a call.

An automated grouping doesn't trigger that socializing spark made by a manual chat announcement, whatever it is. People click "enter the group" and do their stuff, that's all.

Plus, I'm on an overcrowded server, with tons of people, and this "spam" you're pointing at is not so frequent.

Bioware for the sake of humanization, do NOT implement automated LFG.

If they want a full automatized, de-humanized experience, there is World of Warcraft.

LFG != Automated. WoW's iteration is automated, that doesn't make the paradigm automation. Think for yourself.

Stephen Reid:

We're aware of this desire, but we actually believe that finding others on the same planet as you encourages social interaction a bit more than a general 'group finder'. We're not saying it'll never, ever happen but again, not high priority right now.

its not a high priority for me to resub come the end of the month after playing this RPG pretending to be a MMO!

I agree with you, but one point is worth clarifying: An automated grouping tool doesn't trigger the 'social spark' as you put it, it removes the need to make these relationships entirely.

Yes it is... It is automated searching, searching for people to talk to being the basis of socialization.

Or I don't see where the actual tool doesn't already perform what you're talking about.

are you so antisocial, that just because a tool is doing the grp finding function for you, that you cant be social and form relationships when you have set grp?

The guy I'm talking to already said that he or she doesn't want to talk to people he is grouping with. That's what I'm talking about.

Wait wait.. so you are saying that unless you have to SEARCH for someone to have a conversation with by meaningless spamming, you aren't getting a social experience?

Gotcha.

I am talking about cross-serverLFD, not a LFG tool, that I think is very useful

Also, I am talking about wow-kiddie mentality

My opinion an LVG tool would be such a queue tool for Warzones. Why is warzone queue tool familiar for everyone since years, and why not same about LFG tool? One for PvP group activities, one for PvE group activities. Thats all. PvP-ers doesnt need to shouting in chats, looking for teamies to joining warzones. Why do you want to discriminate PvE-ers?
