True story. I keep reading over that example, but I just can't decipher what anyone saying such a thing would actually think that they're trying to say. Is it supposed to be an abbreviation of something? Is it supposed to be 7 words all mashed and jumbled and slurred together? Is it derived from Cockney English slang or something like that? wiredgutter
Don't forget the ubiquitous "rouge" when referring to a rogue. I've seen marauder butchered pretty badly. Marader, maruder, maraduar, and marudur and just some examples I've seen. Coincedently, people that misspell words badly tend to gravitate towards both these classes. LyraineAlei
I don't think "could of" is slang. For "could have". Mostly in spoken-terms because it looks very, very wrong when written. Actually, it's a misspelling of could've, now that I think about it, so not slang. Ignore the above..
