GSF is terrible

Ok you want me to beat up on GSF in detail, tell the truth as it were. GSF is sorely lacking in several ways. It has almost zero pve. Compare GSF to a game like Battlestar Galactica online, BGO has strong pvp gameplay yet still has robust pve. In BGO you have several expansive maps to play and explore in, GSF you wait in a que to play in short nasty matches against pre-made squads. In BGO you have 3 different ship classes including escort and capitol ships. There are so many ways we star wars fans are being short changed in space flight/ combat aspect, I'm not going to waste my time listing it all here. Seriously fan boys don't be stupid we should be getting much more considering what people pay to play this game.

You pay to play SWTOR, GSF is just a small part of it. If you want to compare to BGO, does it have 3 difficulty levels and sizes of raids? Does it have 2 difficulties of Flashpoints? Does it have Warzones? Does it have Heroic mission? Is it an MMORPG at all?

GSF isn't meant to be PvE, there are PvE space missions already. if you want PvE, go do those. Plus there are plenty of ground PvE content in this game for you. leveling/FP's/Operations/Dailies. Plenty for you to do.

GSF is for PvP plain and simple.

Sorry the GSF experience wasn't a good one for you, OP.

As for me, it is my favorite thing about SWTOR, tied with the class stories. I also like the PvE space missions because they make me nostalgic for Rogue Squadron on N64.

As I've told others who were frustrated, GSF takes practice--if you keep doing it, and focus on flying your ship rather than what other people are doing, you will get better. I'd also recommend focusing on the match objectives. In domination matches, controlling satellites is more important to winning the match than getting more kills... something many people seem to miss; personally I blame the end-of-match rankings, which don't give enough credit to those who prioritiize defending or capturing satellites over farming kills.

GSF isn't meant to be PvE, obviously since is has next to zero pve. Those pve space missions your talking about, space flight on rails is the whole embarrassment of a reason why were given GSF and it was billed to be much more than what we got. I like pvp and pve, I'm not the only one. I don't play the space pve it is worse garbage than GSF. I get more fun and better game play out lesser space flight/combat games than SWTOR GSF. Games that have full open world pvp and pve with large fleet battles.;) Please don't even get me started on the clunker that is the rest of SWTOR with it's static mobs and clunky game play. If we had a better Star Wars game I would abandon SWTOR in a second.

TLDR "I WANT SWG BACK WAAAAAAA"

SW:TOR is the spiritual sucessor to KOTOR. a game that also lacked any robust space combat other then a little mini game. why would you expect differnt in SW:TOR?

It wasn't very long. SWG and KOTOR I don't know what to tell you about those old games, I have never played either of them. SWTOR disappointed many from the start with the space flight/combat it offers. There is right now other games that people are playing and you can go play right now. But for MMO Star wars games there is only one other I know of but is more little kids oriented.
