Twi'lek customization package: more headband options, and body-covering tattoos

I agree with a lot of people that if whole body tattoos are coming to SWTOR, then Zabrak should head up the list, followed by Mirialan (whose tattoos often extend to their hands and wrists) and then Twi'lek. And I like the body hair idea but I'd want it extended to Miraluka too (along with more masks!).

As for Twi'lek.... I'm okay with more headbands (my Twi'lek doesn't wear em, but hey, why not), but what I'd really want to see is tattoos separated from makeup and scar options that extend to the lekku, maybe even amputations (but only small bits). Armoured lekku sound cool too.

One fun possibility which might work nicely would be to have an item in the CM - [Twilek Hood] - requires Twilek race, and is a piece of headgear with dye module which is set to hide the character's own lekku, while in appearance being a hood with forward-coiled lekku emerging from the front.

Of the dye modules, primary colour would colour the hood, secondary would colour the lekku, market it with a new series of dye packs whose secondary colour matches Twilek skin colours, and do different versions of the hood with lekku matching the existing (and any new) Lekku patterning options.

If it sold well, do other hood and headgear variations the same way, such as Lekku with wraps, Lekku bound together with a strap or bindings, Lekku forward, Lekku coiled partly round neck, etc etc.

NOTE: The dye system I suggested is a "quick and easy" workaround that would make this possible to release using only functionality already in game. A better way would of course be for the 'hat' lekku's skin colour to automatically match to whatever the character's skin colour is set to, on equip- but I've personally not seen that functionality in game, so that would be asking Bioware to rescript code, rather than just to make a new headgear skin, which would make it less likely.

Hmm... does anyone actually know, with the infamous 'skimpy' armour sets, whether the default grey underwear is a layer of its own OVER the skin which is turned off, when the skimpier bikinis etc are worn, or whether they simply cover it or swap it out with an automatic colour matched version of torso or hip area without the grey undergarments? If it's the second, then the character appearance engine CAN take skin colour/texture information - as well as body type and gender, obviously, and use that as a modifier on gear appearance, which would make this a whole lot more practical to implement.

The outfit overrides the undergarments (except in the case of the energy armor, of course). I've got a character in the magnificent dancer outfit and there's more showing that if she underwear on. Maybe it's just really skimpy panties....

But yes, I agree that more customizations for Twilek characters is needed.

"Twi'leks should get headwraps and bands. Wraps around their lekku and different positions for them. Like placed in front and dangling, then we could have hoods.

Anyways my point is it would be good if they would at least research into the options available to them. It's 2015 and it really is ridiculous that there has been no effort made to put more wide customisation options for them as a race.

Technology isn't the issue, seeing as Sony Entertainment managed to create a decent amount of lekku customization. And that was 2003 for crying out loud! They keep adding bizarre human haircuts and are planning to add togruta? The likeness they get rushed and forgotten like the cather are high at this point (along with all the other non-humans).

I just hope they put humans aside, and give the other races more development time and effort.

I know this thread is kind of old, but this is still something I'd love to see. I hate how my Inquisitor Twi'lek has to have a brown headband. I think there should be more options with black, grey, or other colors. They did this for human ponytail holders on the Imperial side (where they're black instead of brown). Having black/grey/ not brown headbands would match my non-earthy Imperial outfits so much better. :)

(People above also mentioned wraps, and that would be cool too.)

If my highly scientific "it seems like it to me, if I remember right" method of data gathering is correct, most characters are human by a significant margin, so that's where the money is. Still, a shame; I want to see more options for everyone.

90% of the players/companions don't use Assault Cannons, yet new ones get made, along with all the other class/companion-exclusive weapons, or Companion Customizations. On top of that, exclusive customizations have been made for other races. So why the heck can't we get at east 1 basic pack with a few headgear options for Twileks? 2 bandanas, some hat, some helmet, done.

Not even asking about different lekku position, just headgear that doesn't clip

Show us some Twi'lek love Bioware!

There is so much potential. The headbands are horrible. And is there a reason our tattoo markings don't go all the way down? Mine seems pretty restricted to the head/upper torso. And I finally found the type I like with CC, but it needs more.

Thanks! :)

Things I'd love to see in a Twi'lek Customization Unlock pack on the cartel market:

-new skin tones. Twi'lek have 8, Togruta have 19. Give us some of those Togruta colors on our Twi'leks, since most of them should be compatible lore-wise. (The shades of purple, extra shades of blue, green, and red past the 2 of each we currently have).

-additional tattoos for the face and lekku

-body tattoo options

-lekku wraps
