Reading novels, playing games, you know, the usual.
  • Occupation
    I'm a student
  1. 1. For Accessibility, best to contact the location directly. 2. Premier Inn is great for those still looking. Really affordable, really clean. Personally, I'll be staying with family, but I stayed in one of their London location last year and I've got nothing but praise for it.
  2. Tell me about it. I've just given up. Which is depressing, as there is nothing to distract me from this forever maintenance.
  3. You find them on the downed ship on Belsavis, right? Then you run around collecting parts, and bring a specialist to help you thaw HK out. Basically, I'm saying that once you've unlocked it via the quest on one faction, that unlocks a perk which allows you to buy it for all characters in that faction for the entire legacy ONCE. Take it out of character perks, basically, and make it legacy wide.
  4. Yeah, but to be fair, we'll probably have our companions chosen for us on main missions for the rest of KotFE, and beyond.
  5. What I think would be better is if they moved the unlocks from "Character Perks", into Legacy wide, and allow us to purchase it after we've completed the story on a specific faction. Once your consular unlocks the ship/unfreezes it, you can pay CC or a huge amount of creds (or just leave 1m) to requisition more built for your Republic friends. Same with the Empire. It's an easy fix, and would just solve the problem in it's entirety.
  6. +1 I have no idea why they went so complicated/expensive, I get they want to make money, but it just feels like a big deterrent. You can't set up a theme most of the time because packs are expensive, and who knows if you'll get what you want anyway?
  7. I'd like a signpost, that would allow me to interact to change the text, and reveal the text for not-mes on mouseover. So like the signs on Manaan, except I get to choose the text. Welcome to the Redmoon Cantina! Please don't touch the turrets, they're new.
  8. I'm beginning to think SWtOR's budget is nothing but a shadow and a stick of gum at this point. Every new expansion has had less and less content, RotHC lost class stories, SoR lost faction stories, KotFE lost side missions and group content, along with a lot of voicework (not just in alerts, but even in the main story the companions are always chosen for us, so no alternate dialogue needed)... sure the quality of the main storyline is great, but the quantity has gone WAAAY down. QA has gotten consistently worse and worse, both on the tech side (more bugs) and on the service side (tickets being left open, as if one were making sundried service requests). I love this game, but it feels like the Greek economy at this point, making more and more cuts, focusing on "safety" rather than investing in new growth, lack of infrastructure, and lack of investment into it. The more they cut, the more income they lose, so more cuts are needed, and on, and on and on. At least KotFE is new, and different, and considering it isn't done yet, I shouldn't worry to hard, or judge too harsh, but this is making me so, so sad.
  9. I'm just thankful HK-51's blaster is the one he's wielding in cutscenes. Every new NPC just uses the one BioWare set up for them no matter which the have equipped. Or perhaps I've grossly misjudged the situation due to a possible fever dream.
  10. The best parts of this is what it means for new content. We can easily go back to old planets and have a story thingy smack dab in the middle. They don't have to make new sections if it's not necessary to the story (which is just a deterrent to do it at all), and they don't have to worry about making new mobs so getting to smack dab middle is somewhat not easy. It also opens up events using mobs to ANYONE of the planet's level. No more having to upgrade the Gree event's level every single time an expansion pops. That allows events to be more common (as we have already seen). Have they used it well so far? Not really, but they at least have the option.
  11. I'd love unique decorations to be dropped too, or some form of token we could use to buy bunches of cosmetic rewards. That kind of stuff makes things a bit more replayable (especially for those who care little for static gear, and are sick of "rare" rewards never dropping for them), and feeds into the immediate gain system (so it doesn't feel like you're just grinding for something) without negatively affecting gearing or the economy if it's left Bound to Legacy. It reflects some of the problems with FP dropped decor, i.e. NO ONE PLAYS THE FP FOR THE DECOR BECAUSE IT WON'T DROP ANYWAY, SO WHY BOTHER. Make it drop relatively often, and it provides immediate incentive. That being said, I just want companion affection to be legacy wide, it's too much damn grinding.
  12. I would have made the current system we have Legacy-wide. Some companions would HAVE to be recruited by their original Class (M1-4X), and some companions would be class exclusive. That being said, I love your idea so much more .
  13. Let's just mention an issue here, the Alliance system is unfriendly to alts. Considering the renewed focus on alts, this is a serious problem. I'm not going to bother getting the valor requirement for EVERY.SINGLE.ALT. for M1-4X/Pierce. It just feels grindy to the max. Why am I bringing this up? Star Fortress. That storyline is aggravating, due to it's forced Heroics. Heroics, that are meant for multiple people. So, if we don't like grouping or Odessen is filled with people who don't want to do a particular instance of the darn thing, it sits, in our Alerts, taunting us until we rage quit. That little flashing fist has become the bane of my existence. This is further made obvious by the face EVERY OTHER FLASHPOINT MISSION SERIES GIVES YOU THE OPTION TO DO THEM SOLO. EVERY DARN ONE. As for how the companions are doing? DPS is ok, healing is just sad and tanking.... has never and never will be good. Plus the AI still stinks. I refuse to QA for you further, want me to test things? Put it on the PTS where it belongs.
  14. BioWare does need to get its stuff together concerning the Harbinger, but yeah, fixes of any kind take time. You have to find the hamster, get it a lawyer, read through the contract with it in Hamsterese... Time, I tell ya, it takes it.
  15. Work it? Rephrase, man, rephrase! Man I love this thread right now, despite the unspeakable horror it stems from.
