2.4+ DPS Leaderboard

Gonna be testing each Sniper/Slinger spec for the next week the goal is to see if 3700+ is achievable in each and which is superior. I will be basing the "superior" spec based on avg parse numbers. I believe the flyby nerf hit hard but not hard enough for people to reroll to other classes. IMO 3700+ as max w/ 3650+ avg is good numbers, it makes 150-250 DPS loss we all feel Flyby nerf has brought us down to more like 100-150 DPS loss. Which, I don't know about you, but it makes me feel a little better inside about the whole thing (less violated lol). Anyway here is first day and I will be updating with each spec. At the end of this week I will give a deiailed summary of what I think of each spec.

 

Day 1 - Full Lethality 5/5/36

Note: Once I got my feet set into the rotation my Avg parses were around 3650+ give or take. Gonna work with this spec a bit more (once this week is up), still playing with rotation but this so far gave me the best avg overall. I think I might be able to squeeze more out of this with maybe a blue adrenal and maybe playing around with abilities, gear/stats etc...

I feel like full lethality will probably be the best spec since it was least dependent on orbital before 2.6. Having said that, you did manage 3.9k as hybrid before the nerf so 3.7k should be achievable.

 

Either way, your observations (and logs) are going to prove useful for many gunslingers/snipers, myself included. Your efforts are much appreciated. :)

As i already wrote before in this thread, Elai'a has a wonderful (and in my opinion) correct explanation. I tested that and I can confirm it (as i already wrote). I didn't know that parsing delay was cpu and not Internet/latency related.

 

Basically the 3500% difference comes from Uriaces being very good at some parts of his parsing and not so good on other parts of his parsing (as his Video showed :)).

 

Little side note: Everyone claiming to not be able to parse good because of his Internet Connection is wrong :). That MS clipping is a good prove for that :).

 

yeap hes just doing impressive APM and clipping there however i do not agree "Connection" doesnt hurt parses.

 

Unfortunately IMO it does (it shouldn't be an excuse) but it does, and tbh is not always the PING, since ive seen AU players playing with 300+ doing good parses (myself, not aussie i avg 200-400)... the real problem is server lags. My Best parses are in the pts, just because first there is no server lag and second East coast let me go to <100 Ms... while on the harbringer, idk about other servers, but pretty sure HB is the most overpopulated and with WAY WORST server stability in the game from the multiple Crash we had in the last 6 months lol, it is almost impossible.

 

i try to parse on my merc where i need to keep cylinder up where in PTS is easy, in Live 7/10 miss the Rail shot hit. Like i said not an excuse but the Lag does influence, not really personal lag but server lag, i can be at perfect Latency and still get delays for some reason sometimes.

 

So yeah even when most of the time is not that big of a problem, i would think someone in Begeren Colony or a RP not so populated server would have much more stability to parse than anyone on Bastion or Harbringer, and specially with stuff like Ravage clips, Merc pyro cylinder Rail shots, Gore Windows, can be really frustrating when server is really slow. Even my sniper, if you notice in my videos, when i do Filler + IP + CG + Dart + Cull, you notice my cull has 1.2-1.3 CD left sometimes when i am using my Dart which makes no sense since i am doing exactly 4 GCD that should be perfect to flil the time for Cull CD, so most of the time i delay it 0.2 + 0.2 + 0.1 + 0.2 which in the end might be a dps lost. but thats me, playing on harbringer and from south america, with an awful connection it doesnt help that much either :Pm but might be the case for some people i would guess.

There's no bug, just read the whole log file:

00:14:52.323 Arrow's enters combat.

00:19:19.836 Arrow's kills Operations Training Dummy.

 

which gives a 4m 27.513s parse, i.e. 267.513s.

1 million HP divided by 267.513 = 3738.14 dps

 

Your 2d link is broken, I don't understand your "old format / new format" thing ?

There is always a lot of log cheating going on when new patches come out. It's being more subtly done, but seems rampant. There are a lot of parses out there without dead dummies in them and misaligned dps. Check your peers, ya'll.

I actually forgot that I added another Battle Enhancement from parsing full Lethality so having 200 Crit was a definitive plus in Marksmanship on my end. Still, I'm going to play around this spec even more (and studying Thrax's PTS parse herp derp) :p

 

EDIT (2/6/14): Just replaced my PvP Armorings with 78 Armorings to avoid confusion.

i started playing after 2.0 :( I DIDN'T KNOWWWWW

 

Just wanted to point out that #1 Shadow/Assassin parse is labeled as Infiltration, but it's actually Balance

 

also, this^ it's already been mentioned by various contributors but hasn't (to my knowledge) been recognized by falver.
