As title says, if they add in pod -racing, were you can win prizes, race other players, and upgrade your pods, and mess with them, beleive me, they will triple there subscribers easily.

Also space pvp, but pod racing would be alot easier to implement.

I know right! Almost like that Star Wars Racer game that didn't do so well!

Well, to some extent I like your suggestion, but as long we live in a democratic state (Germany for me), you problem will be..............

Your subs will triple if you add 3 more bgs.

Your subs will triple if you remove all buges.

Your subs will triple if you add 10 ops

Your subs will triple if you remove f2p

Your subs will triple if you add mini games

Your subs will triple if you allow housing

Your subs will triple if you give als big, big Starships for our gild.

But, if you ask me als an old DAOC and WARHAMMER player.

You will get Millions of new and returning gamers, if you add opvp and optimize the hero-engine, so that we really can fight huge battles with our lightsaber.

So see, everyone needs different things

I doubt there are 800.000 or so players just sitting out there going "wow, i wish SW:TOR had podracing, i would sooooo sub if they did"...

(based on Biowares statements that there were around 500.000 subs last time they released any info on it)

So how is 800k triple from 500k?

Erm... Well, that is some highly complicated math, right there! I don't know the answer though, try to Google it...

It probably won't triple the subs but;

Pod Racing, yes please.

Swoop Racing, that too,

Pazaak, Yep, that would be awesome.

However I don't think we are going to be seeing any of this too soon, especially as pvp mini games. There is a risk of players using the competition to bet real money with opens up a whole range of other issues.

If they add it, great, but this is just an example of the problem with the player base. Small pockets of people that want a niche feature that actually think that their interest is somehow shared on the same volume and level as everyone else.

Yes, there will be groups of people that will be extremely pleased by the addition of pod racing, chat bubbles, hood toggles, but there won't be a huge jump in subs because of it.

subs will triple if they make the galaxy explorable in space as beautiful as eve online but with a different combat system (just adopt battlefront 2),

Gj an extra 150 million a year.

However, they may make space a grind and you have to fight another starship every 5 feet.... But I do LOVE your idea.

Your subs will triple if you cut subs costs by 2/3. Is that bad math?

Actually, by looking at Steam sales it might multiply it by even more. Then again, that would be comparing a subscription service to one-time game purchases.

I think it is logical to state that adding "sandboxy" content, like swoop racing, would give the game more broad appeal to casual players. I really think any statement beyond that is a bit of a stretch.

Adding other things like card playing, interior (think SWG housing interior decoration system) and exterior starship decoration (with furnishings and trophies that drop and have to be crafted/quested for) and PVE arenas with PVP options (like in KotOR) that rate performance instead of straight wins (I have a PVP suggestion thread that fleshes this one out) would help.

Finally chat bubbles in group chat wouldn't hurt for RP purposes.

The difference between you and Bioware..... They have an actual market analysis team to figure out truth from fantasy.

Please present your market analysis (with supporting data) that substantiates your wildly exotic and self-indulgent claim. ;)
