Crew skill 450 mission discoveries

I had quite a few since the change. Both regulators and found a couple of 450 purple missions. I usually run my "elite" slicers which also have max affection, those being t7 and andronikos the stalker. Edited by MusicRider

It sounds like these materials were accidentally added and won't actually be used to make anything, and will be basically removed from game now. So . . . can we get a x5 achievement somewhere in the legacy crafting skills achievement tree for obtaining one unit of each? It would be a nice little medal for the small part all your crafters played in helping to uncover and squash this bug. For those that do have a little pile of them laying around, it would also be a reason not to just vendor them, since we can hold onto them and put them back onto the market for completionists to pick up once they're no longer available.

 

So how about you take all these back and give me some purple mytags in my rich missions? just a thought :D

OT: Risha sucks at slicing. Even before 2.0 she was no good at it. Hell, Bowdaar brought me many more Neural Augmentors than she ever did. (kinda had to laugh at the thought of wookie slicer) I eventually gave up and dropped slicing on my smuggler.

 

Mako and SCORPIO seem to do a much better job - 1 crit from each of them last night on 'Unsliceable'. Lokin and Torian chipped in with crits on 'Watching the Watchdogs' (This all from two sets of missions ran, per toon)

 

Thanks for the heads up. I'm actually almost 400 Slicing on my BH and will give Mako a try, because your obviously right about Risha...just hate that I spent all that time, and money with her Slicing. Again thanks for the tip ;)

I wonder if there is a bug with Risha? I'm experiencing the same slicing failure rate with her affection maxed out.

I've been gettting Viral Residue (as sole return) on abundant, rich and bountiful crafting missions regardless of who I send out, how maxed out their affection is, and what their specific gathering affinity is.. At this point I have 3 full stacks of them. How about we petition they replace them with the useful item that we sent our companions out for, or give us some super recipes to use them. I certainly don't want a cargo hold full of the things whilst trying to get something useful.

Finally got to 450 Slicing with my BH. Every time I send Mako out she brings me at least 2 Thermal Regulators. So for all of you out there having problems with Risha bringing back junk...you may want to lvl a BH and use Mako instead.

I don't know if the dev's are reading this thread, but I have an idea. I've played games in the past where an item has become useless due to being replaced by another. In this case the items have been useless from the start. It would be a nightmare of coding to add that item to hundreds of schematics. It would be a pain to create new schematics to use them. On the other hand, to do what was done in other games is quite simple. Create a barter NPC and sit him by the GTN in fleet and let us barter the useless item for the co-item from that tier which we were actually hoping to get .. For instance in biochem barter the viral residue for artificial microbes. I've spent roughly 300K credits getting the wrong item and would be more than happy to barter them for the useful item.

so what is status atm?

rich and bountiful missions on crit will give purple stuff (I'm thinking underworld trading and slicing) ? or all missions have chance for purple on crit... so much information, and devs post, I got lost :confused:

Today, I just got only 1 Thermal thing from a Slicing lvl 450 Mission on my +2 crit from Slicing droid with full affection.

Are you sure the problem with the Slicing Mission not giving enough Artiface reward.

 

Been only getting the odd 1 or 2 in days, all the crew missions are broken IMO

Yes. This is a great idea. Since a few of the mats we received, like the Hollinium, are blue semi-rare materials, I think an exchange rate of like 3 to 1 would be fair. Get 3 of the usable mat for 1 of the other.

I'm having more luck with Bowdar than her. I pretty much gave up on her.
think she might be stealing from you behind your back?

 

now on a serious note............SCORPIO 10k affection +2 crit slicing--->Rich missions crits once in a milion years, the part that worries me is that i got way way more crits on bountiful missions done by Kaliyo and Vector who have around 8k affection and nothing to do with slicing

Hello again everyone,

 

Finally, to address a couple of things that are not above,

specifically Slicing Lockbox returns

and the abundance of Armormech Glove Schematics from Underworld Trading, we are aware of the reports, and they are still being researched.

 

Thanks again to everyone for assistance and understanding while we actively work to iron out the kinks our Elder Game Crew Skills!

Has anyone seen an update to the Lockbox issue for slicing, whether its to say they are still looking into it, its going to be fixed on version X, etc... .

After spending yesterday afternoon looking into your reports and doing internal testing, we discovered a couple of things:

 

 

[*] Slicing Lock Boxes are not providing a sufficient number of credits.

 

 

I looked over the patch notes and the problem with the Slicing Lockboxes wasn't mentioned. Has this been fixed or do we still have to wait?

Can we get an update as to the various crew skill / gathering / crafting issues being resolved? This thread and Community Specialists posting within this thread seem to have gone quiet for half a month...

 

Also to add: if I get a mission discovery from a 400+ slicing mission it's nearly always a 450 Investigation. I've checked the GTN for the prices people are selling the 450 mission discoveries and Investigation are by far the cheapest, with Slicing ones being the most expensive. This supports my experience of an in-balance in the type of 450 mission discovery being returned - just like the darn glove schematics from synth.

Nice to hear. Is there also an improvement on the critical rate of slicing mission that give thermal regulators as it is extremely rare to crit on them at the moment. Same question applies for the crit rate of obtaining wealthy 450 slicing missions, which seems to be 0 in my case so far (nearly a week and kind of giving up now).

 

So far on one slicing toon, it's been 24 Thermal Regulators and 1421 Bio-Mechanical Chips -- and that's been only with doing "Watching the Watchdogs" and "Unsliceable" (with supposed efficiency and critical bonuses for slicing on the toons sent on those missions). Nice odds -- not counting the schematics (which I rarely find useful once you hit level 55). :rolleyes: (<sarcasm/> And with the nice large amounts of money that PvP doles out for its dailies, I am sooo glad that I can afford these missions </sarcasm>. :p )
