Revan's Chestplate; any word on a fix?

Yeah, the quote in your post summed it all up perfectly. I wonder why Revan's armor didn't get a classic version, despite changes made to it.

Honestly, I just think we should have the entire set made into a replica of Darth Revan's armor from the original Knights of the Old Republic. Same colors, same models, all of that snazzy goodness. I mean, this is Revan we're talking about; he is hands-down the most iconic Star Wars character, outside of the movies. If they have make some completely awesome sets based on Carth and Malak, then surely Revan's gear is worth updating? ^_^

No, double hood and coloring bugs aside. His set has always been like this.

Here is a youtube video of revan in the beta. He always had his cape rolled up as shoulders, as you can see, but with no hood up in the maelstrom prison, so they put a hood and it clipped through it, which is why today we see maelstrom revan without the rolled up shoulders.

His lower robe has always been what you see, However, the ITEM VERSION used to look like what the red robed sith is wearing in this Screen shot. He never had legs as an item.

So as a summed up version, once again. Lets worry about the bugs, not what more people could want onto it to make another classic vs what they are supposed to be fight on who wants what item version of what Bad enough the classic chest/leg slots were never made.

 

1. Helm still clips with body type 3 male

2. Revan's Chestplate, Investigator's Robe, and the Pathfinder Chestpeice all have 2 sets of hoods.

3. Chestplate became Light Grey in 1.6.1 look at my sig thread for the pictures, too lazy to link them.

4. Revan's Lower robe while graphically fixed in 1.6.2 became brown on default.

5. No Classic Revan's Chestplate using the Maelstrom Prison Revan was used, or the Classic Revan's Robes using the old passed off set version.

 

 

 

 

Flowing cape would ruin the set being one of the very few force user robes without a back buttflap or a cape. They are horrid in this game Trust me ALL OF YOU WHO are asking for a cape or opened version of the robes will hate it because they will flip flap and clip through the meditation chair and domination throne, is that what you Really want to do with the Revan set?

his gear has always looked like that or similar etc i mean at the back coming from waist height their was always two piece of black cloth hanging down behind which isn't exactly a cape. I am referring to comics and kotor something like in the image below you will see what i am referring to he has them in the front and back Bioware needs to look at their own images maybe HAHA

Don't you think there is a reason why his set was built how it was in this game and not by artwork? This is the(bugs aside) finished model. Originally based off of Player GETTABLE version of Revan's Robes from Kotor 1. That they worked with.

 

 

Flowing additions to sets are horrible with clipping. have you seen the handmaidens lower leggings skirt? your legs go out of them on every sex/body type when you run. This set was made as clean as possible. no flapping no flowing, clean and simple.

Have you tried wearing them in Kotor? with the revan set mod taking his model and swapping out the PC for it. the sash, and cape are stiff as a board. and all abilities shot out of the feet so it would be a foot force storm.'

 

I return to my post above yours on why the current version was made for the best.

actualy all my skills with the mod come outa my hands and the mod has a flowing cape version that isnt stiff you need to check the mod as it has been updated and even different versions have been added

The original Bioware version of the set had a stiff as a board cape and sash and force lightning coming out of the feet.. Not players personal modding skills fixing it. I know the difference, I am refering to 100% Bioware version made as a PC item.

if they made a new revan gear set to match the KOTOR version they could always call it "Darth Revan's..." that would solve it i think. and i would like the cape but its unfortunate theres so many issues with it. tho its wat u expect when u make move so realistically lol

 

Okay here is my suggestion. Keep the Revan chest you have now (with the hood and color fix), but give us one like in KOTOR. This is where we 'fell inlove' with Darth Revan and his super cool robes. I mean if Malak and Carth and the last Handmaiden can get such awesome versions (Malak even has a cape but Revan doesn't?) why not Revan? Take away the second hood and replace it with a cape, remove the shoulder rolls and make it like the Mealstrom version, and make the color scheme ALL like in KOTOR (Trust me the coser you can make it to the ORIGINAL Dart Revan's robes the happier poeple are gonna be). For me Revan having a cape is essential, it's part what made the robes in KOTOR so cool. Don't remove the version you have as it will most likely make some people unhappy.

 

If you do decide to do soething like this I would point out something else: Revan's belt. In KOTOR, that round iron thing with the straps (lol) is not just somehting randomly hanging around my characters groin area , that part actually is the belt. If you could kee that in mind.

 

Well theres my suggestion. Most importantly the second hood and cape. I love Malak's gear Revan deserves something even better.

Also the Investigators robes and the phantom (NON classic) all have 2 hoods... there may be more, not sure.

Phantom is actually fine... It is only Revans, Investigators, and the Pathfinders that have 2 hoods.

Off-topic but I'd say they should eventually release KotOR, not TOR, Revan's robes. Here in TOR they're just an awful reskin, half the npcs wear them in different colour variations.

 

It'd be so much better to find a new one in cartel packs.

 

But I am all in for fixing the current ones and adding a classic version (no hood, no cowl) like other chest pieces got.

Malak's set isnt even supposed to have a full cape. it should only be a 1/4th of a cape drapped over the back right shoulder.

It's not the cape, it's not the colour(s) - it's the freaking Double-Hood.
