Enough Bioware tell us whats going on with the client issues.......

Enough is enough. Almost all about 75% of the players I play with are all reporting the same problem and we all have way above the recommended specs while in beta we had zero problems are now having, BSOD, frame rate issues, memory leaks, double the ram usage on the client that previously, and thats with no matter what settings we use even though there is nothing wrong on our end.

There has been numerous posts in support forums and general aswell as tickets and complaints and still not a single word about it from the Dev's.

So can we please get some information on what your planning on doing about it and what is causing these issues with YOUR GAME if you even know whats wrong at all...

And for the trolls, I used to build computers and work for a computer hardware company in both sales and builds so I am not saying I know everything but I know enough to know there is something wrong with the star wars client.

All drivers are updated reports of issues have been with all sorts of GPU and cards from both ATI and Nvidia. There also reporting no problems with any other games EXCEPT SWTOR.

So please cut the crap and give us some answers, I just subscribed to 6 months of this game don't make me and others cancel due to lack of communication and terrible custormer service.

Sorry for the rant and wall of text but we need answers so we can get the game working as intended for all to enjoy without these issues. I really enjoy the game and would like to continue to enjoy it.

Thanks for listening. o7 o/

-----EDIT---- Adding some info that may help people.

Greetings everyone,

We understand that it is very frustrating when players are unable to play the game due to poor performance. Associate Online Community Manager Joveth Gonzalez let us know in a recent Dev Tracker post that the team is looking at the issue now:

We appreciate you taking the time to offer feedback. Gentle reminder: we ask that everyone please be polite and respectful to one another, as outlined by our Forums Guidelines.

Thankyou for communicatiing. :D It is very much appreciated :)

Ignore TradewindNQ guys, he has been trolling and arguing with any topic that talks about issues and performance issues with the game. Not worth replying to.

With over 200,000+ players and 1000's of posts reporting issues with the performance of the client across facebook, twitter, nvidia, ati, swtor, gaming forums etc, it is safe to say whatever the trolls/fanboi's like to think and yes that's what they are, it is not user error or user sided problems that are causing these issues for the majority, maybe a few minors are caused by user error but to assume just because you don't have an issue everyone who does is user error or user sided is just plain ignorant and stupid.

I have found a site which lists the many problems people are having with the swtor client and some possible solutions.

None of these worked for me but maybe they will for others so here it is.

http://gamebooze.com/fixed-swtor-crashes-appcrash-errors-freezing-lagging-launch-crash-poor-fps-black-screen-no-sound/

Hope it helps some people it didn't help me.

Please bioware tell what your doing about it and if some fixes are coming soon?

Players who having no issues then great for you, I am happy for you but please stop trollling this topic pretending there are no issues at all, there maybe no issues for you but that doesn't mean there is nothing wrong with the client, its proven fact there is problems not caused by user error or bad pc's for alot of players and it does need addressing asap.

Thankyou. o7 o/

As you can see there are loads of players having this problem. Here is another example of what players are complaining and stopping them playing the game completely......

http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=31117&page=3

So Bioware are you still going to play dum on this one or are you going to communicate some more?

And oh look another thread showing the EXACT SAME issues we are talking about......

What a shock, we must all be imagining these issues and must be our fault not the clients......;)

Still nothing from bioware?

ok..so what about those of us who have trouble being in cities or buildings? i even sometimes have trouble in combat and im able to run wow on ultra settings, rift on high and rift's graphics are at least twice as good as swtor (not saying the graphics are bad, they are charming in their own way) and im still not able to play on the absolute lowest settings , shadows off, bloom off, windowed mode , 800x600 res, my drivers are up to date, and i shut off my background programs, ive done everything you guys have said and im still unable to enjoy this game because of the massive amount of lag, my graphics card is an nvidia 335m which isnt top notch but it should be able to handle this game with ease. and its not just me, this is a problem with thousands of players and ive heard nothing about this. if you'd be so kind as to respond to this and let me and others know what you guys are doing to fix this it'd be greatly appreciated.

Here are more issues linked with what we are talking about, is more to do with the game causing graphic cards to overheat and being a resource hog.

The list of issues is endless and why after in beta they all say they had no problems, then patch before EGA causing all these problems. Bioware need to say/do something.

http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=24455

Still think were making these issues up? :)

http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=22835

1500 posts and 100,000 views.......still counting...

Hope they fix these issues soon....

BSOD's are hardly ever an issue with the software, driver related or hardware malfunction. OS is designed to recover from almost all software and session related problems.

Memory leak is a horribly misused term and most often the people using it have no idea what it even means.

Fix your terrible computers if you're such a pro at it.

Process of elimination, if not all clients are experiencing an issue with the software, it is an individual issue. Blanket statements are self-defeating because nobody can fix it for you.

That's what I'm saying. Did someone get a process monitor and watch the threads under the game process? If not then what are they calling a memory leak.

This game slams resources pretty hard on my system but I haven't seen anything indicative of a memory leak (like an OOM exception). I did have the game brit a shick one time but I think that was a video card issue...

Usual troll comments trying to make it out like its user error and BUY A NEW PC newb! Go read the forums and the 100+ posts over the past week about these issues, ask players in game, check the specs of the computers.

Don't get me wrong im not saying its everyone having these issues, it isn't there are players who are reporting no problems with both old and new rigs, but the majority of the players who I have spoken to and read on the forums are having these issues, atleast enough to warrant some serious concerns about the swtor client.

You can pretend the issues are not there all you want, fact is they are and for many players, if they care about there game they need to communicate how there planning to solve these issues.

Saying its all on your end go fix yourself or blaming it all on user error is not going to make this go away. Communicate and admit to the issues and we can go from there.

Thanks. o7 o/

For those who are running the game fine...Great....stop posting useless things. Most of us are having issue with game now that is "offically" released.

My pc ran the game pretty well on beta weekend. Now the frame rate issue is garbaage. The only thing different I have done one thing different, I installed the game with the cd's I bought. There is also a issue with the launcher downloading the patch. So when you load the game up, it crashes to the desktop on the loading screen. Found a fix that thanks to someone else on the forums.

But the lag I am getting is just horrible and the game is unplayable. Maybe its a codeing issue with certain hardware. Hopefully they will find out what is causing it. Because I love the game.

Please bioware im asking you to get back to us on this.

Thankyou o7 o/

"Enough is enough. Almost all about 75% of the players I play with are all reporting the same problem "

99% of stats are made up on the spot...

Yeah but only 50% of those stats are completely wrong, 40% are lies and the remaining 67.3% are just misguided.

On topic though:

I know zero people who has the problems the OP describes, I have seen nothing about it in chat so I'm gonna go with "user error" most likely, ie an error on the users end, not necessarily with the client itself, most probably failing memory or harddrive, corrupted drivers (sound, graphics etc).

EDIT: also there's been quite a few instances where certain firewalls and/or antivirus programs has caused programs to crash.

The game worked flawlessly all during Early Access and then all of a sudden after the end of Early Access downtime and the small patch, there is constant stuttering and spiking of fps..

Also, I never looked before but were there always 2 instances of swtor running, one at around 1.4 gb of ram and one around 300 mb of ram?

Seriously man, if you fixed PC's then you know BSOD's typically aren't typically a Client problem, you're probably have odd things happen elsewhere in your computer and only now are you really standing up and realizing it since it's happening with the game as well (that happens a LOT). It's probably a case of a bad plug n play part somewhere in your PC, go by normal process of elimination that ANY techie would instead of just assuming it's the Client.

The tone of the OP suggests that there is some kind of client crash Armageddon going on when there is actually no such thing.

What is really happening is that an undetermined segment of the installed user base is having an issue with the client. Judging by the number of people stating they having no issue at all, I'd say it's a minority having issues.

when people like myself see a comment that claims to speak for us, and our old junker machines run the game fine (my 2 year old laptop runs the game without flinching) we feel the need to state as much. In doing so we hope to prevent the hysteria that usually grips MMO forums at launch.

I left the game knowing I would have a 45 minute queue to get back in. That's ok and not why I came here. OP I came to make the exact same post. This is the one true threat to this game, at least in my book. 60-1 fps at any given time anywhere.

Bioware, just communitcate.

Thankyou im just ignoring all the troll posts from players who don't understand how big an issue this is and how many players are having problems with it, its enough to cause concern and gets some communication from bioware.

I know for a fact its not a user issue and is a swtor client issue and so do the players with these problems.

You know for sure? Funny since I am pretty certain we're all using the same client. But the vast majority have no issues you're describing. User issue...post specs for real help or you're just whining.
