  1. Yes, they work fine. However you have to have a very hefty computer to run games in 4k. Minimum I would attempt for this game would be an intel 4 core cpu @at least 4ghz, 16gig ram and a current or last gen high end video card with 4gig ram minimum. I have a 6600k running @4.6ghz, 16gig ddr3 ram and an EVGA GTX 980ti Classified. It runs the game very well at 4k with most settings maxed.
  2. This is not a great picture taken with a cheap smart phone from too close, but it gives you the idea. This is just the black parts of the Asheron's Call logo with a lifestone from the game in the middle. It took about 4 hours to do. I must admit it was much more painful then any of my other tattoos, mostly because the other ones are squarely in the middle of dense muscle, good portions of this one are on thinner more sensitive areas on the inside of my upper lower leg. I am a bit concerned about the rest of the pieces, the majority of them will all be outside of dense muscle, especially whichever one ends up on my shin area. Ouch! http://imgur.com/a/yJwLx
  3. If I did put it there it would fit great, but I can't see it there and also would not be able to take as good of care of it. Not to mention I am in the process of losing a lot of weight, so I want it on my leg where it is a high concentration of muscle so it does not get messed up by weight loss.
  4. I posted yesterday that I Asheron's Call is closing. I am getting an AC themed tattoo since I won't be able to play the game anymore. I am going to get this logo http://imgur.com/a/mJbNb along with this main part of the tattoo, which represents the portals in the game kind of like looking into the portal along with 4 of the most recognizable monsters from the game http://imgur.com/a/WkJZ6 Ideally it would look something like this http://imgur.com/a/lPulg but I just don't think there will be room, as the artist wants the pieces big enough to see detail because he knows I am picky.
  5. There is/was an AC 2, it wasn't near as good and it flopped. It was closed a couple years later, but a few years back when they stopped updating AC1 they reopened AC2. Both are closing at the end of the month. They told us they were going to give us the game and let us have player run servers, but then all of a sudden a couple days before Christmas they announced the shutdown.
  6. And man am I freaking bummed out!! Asheron's Call was my first MMO and although I have played many more nothing has come close to it. It was too good of a game, at one point I was addicted to it and had to step away. I have gone back and played a few months out of almost every year since though. So much nostalgia and memories. Really hard to believe after the 31st I won't be able to visit Dereth again. Losing SWG was tough, but nothing close to this. I think most people have a very strong attachment to their first MMO, I feel like I am losing a great friend that has always been there for the last almost 18 years.
  7. I liked the prequels, although I could have done w/o jarjar. Although I think without Ewan Mcgregor they would have been much worse, he was fantastic. Much like Harrison Ford did for the originals. As far as the Force Awakens, it was just ok. I am bitter though that they ignored the lore from the expanded universe. After reading so many of the books it was hard getting into this new story.
  8. Thanks all, sounds like there is some hope in getting some of them back. I shudder thinking about the credits I spent on companion gifts for those 3.....
  9. I just finished the first of the Knights expansions and to my great dismay I lost 2 of my 3 level 50 companions and a level 47. That leaves me with 1 level 50 and a bunch of low level ones. Please tell me there is a way to get them back? My crafting really depended on them. Do we lose anymore in the newest expansion??
  10. Am I going to miss anything other than story skipping the last few chapters of Fallen Empire? Coming back after a long break, I am on chapter 13 and not getting much XP and the equipment is already way behind what I already have. I don't really want to skip but I also want to get to 70 and start gearing. Thoughts?
  11. I have been away for around 8-9 months I think. I have had some pretty good success selling off armor pieces/crates and decorations from packs I opened from back before I left. What are the hot items now to buy and sell for credits? Is it worth it to buy a hypercrate and if so which one is the best bet? I have just over 7k CC saved up so not sure if I should buy a hypercrate or if there are other items that would have better success. Also I was making augments before I left and making good money, I need to get leveled up but are they still good money or is there some other easy credit maker for crafting now? I think I have most of the professions covered.
  12. I have never heard of most of the "bands" you guys are posting about lol. I stick with real music - Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Metallica, Creed, Led Zep, Phil Collins, Garth Brooks, AC/DC, Alice in Chains, Aerosmith, Eminem, Beatles, Bon Jovi, Hall & Oates, Eagles, Foo Fighters, GNR, Hootie & the Blowfish, Godsmack, Huey Lewis, John Mellencamp, etc. You can tell my playlists are all over the place...
  13. No, really nothing there is salvageable. You could build a rig from scratch that would play it very well for 5-600 not including monitor/keyboard/etc.
  14. I have spent a lot of RL $$ in this game the last few months. I am the customer, so I really don't care what BW's vision of the game is. I realize you get the last word, but I get to decide to stay or leave. For now I have cancelled. These are the reasons I have canceled: Level Sync: I actually ended up liking the way this was implemented except for one major reason. When I grow in "power" it does not matter at all when level sync'd. I could be level 65 in 178 gear or in 220 gear but when I am doing planitary heroics my stats are the same and I don't kill any faster or grind out the heroics any faster. Make level sync use better gear even at lower levels so it still feels like you are getting more powerful as you get better gear even when level sync'd. I am not a player that enjoys ops or even really HM FP's. I prefer to advance solo and I would like to feel that progression on more than just in SF. Companion Changes: I admit that the healing companions felt brokenly OP at 4.0 launch. However, YOU DID NOT ADDRESS THE ISSUE A SINGLE TIME FOR A FRIGGIN MONTH!! I felt like after that long it must be intended and here to stay, and I got use to it and grew to really enjoy that playstyle. I spent 10's of millions on getting a few comps to influence level 50. I loved being able to do the heroic SF's solo with my healing comp. Again, I don't care for Ops/HM FPs so doing these solo was very nice. Then, the day before the patch, you finally say you are going to nerf companions some and spout some crap about not knowing exactly how much lol. I don't buy that, you knew you were nerfing them massively but did not want to admit it. The healing nerf was well beyond 50% for all my level 50 companions. Another thing is the difference between level 50 and level 1 is laughable when talking about healing. Huge waste of 10's of millions of credits getting them to influence level 50. I doubt you will even take notice of my post, *shrug*, I will just move on to other games. It's too bad I was really enjoying this one.
  15. I admit, I thought that companions were broken at 4.0 release and was waiting for a nerf. However I grew use to the playstyle and enjoyed it a lot. They let it go WAAAAY too long without addressing it even once, so I thought it really was going to stay. I canceled and my sub is up in 3 days. I also spent more RL $ on the CM then I care to admit, but unless there is a fast response I will probably be done for good this time. Yes I realize this is an MMO but I loved the solo playstyle. I will go play something else, I ordered Shadows of Mordor, Battlefront, Dishonored, Bioshock Infintinte and Battlefield Hardline. Those should keep me busy for quite a while.
  16. Prove it. I really have a hard time believing it considering according to your post we are geared about the same and my healing comp was influence level 50 and I could not even come close to completing it. Granted I'm not going to spend hours trying. Also Eric clearly stated heroic 2's are meant to be completed with your companion as the 2nd. Tired of seeing this misinformation that they are not meant to be solo'd.
  17. I did a mission log full of random heroics last night and was able to complete them all with just one death. However that was with a rank 50 healing companion and there were some dicey situations. I was using my merc in mostly 208 gear full 208 augs. However the nerf was WAY more than 50%, the heals were in the hundreds instead of 10's of thousands even on Makeb. I tried a heroic SF and failed miserably. They WAY overdid this nerf.
  18. You can't start Makeb at 47 and there is no bolster anymore.
  19. *rolls eyes* Like 3 missions makes a big difference...
  20. My EVGA GTX 980 ti Classified is waiting for me on my front porch (as it it pouring down rain right now!!). My 48 inch curved 4k Samsung TV will be here Saturday between 6-9am. I have been using a 40 inch 1080p TV for the last 5 years and I thought it was time to upgrade. The curved TV is a dumb idea except for people who will be sitting in the curve which most people watching TV do not. As a monitor, however, it should be pretty sweet!
