Czarinna Posted September 17, 2012 Share Posted September 17, 2012 I see a lot of threads with complaints, silly ideas that some players think would make SWTOR “better” and I just wanted to take a moment to say I’m enjoying SWTOR now and have been since launch. I think the stories and the layout of the game are great and I’ll probably be playing through every class just for the story content. The recent server consolidations have been a big help making it easy to find groups for everything now. Thanks for a great game. When the free to play doors open I think SWTOR will be the best f2p offering there is…so I’m especially glad to see you guys getting ready with higher capacity servers for the surge. Smart! I am in a serious love hate relationship with Huttball.. lol hehe, love/hate relationship towards huttball, i know that feeling, tho i think it's a good change compared to all those arena stuff i've been doing in wow, i kinda love the way they did it, it's fun and new, tho some different maps would be nice. And STILL I loved it. Then I went on to play on canderous ordo with my friends and I am leveling 8 MORE toons and loving it. I WANT MORE CHARACTER SLOTS! I AM AN ALT-AHOLIC! Leematon Posted September 17, 2012 Share Posted September 17, 2012 I started playing SWTOR pre-launch and although I'm not playing it every minute of the day (I still only have a level 23 Jedi Shadow and a level 19 Sith Assassin!) No need for specifics, but i find the VO and story to be great, i love the fighting style, the appearance, and while it takes time, I'm patient and grown-up enough to wait and see what they come out with. Not all of them are silly. Some people genuinely care for this game, and try to attract the attention of the developers so that they may address the things we are missing in this game, and hopefully add them in the future to better it. Suggestions and constructive ideas presented in the general discussions forums don't necessarily stem from hatred towards this game (please don't misunderstand, I know there are some people who do just that). SWTOR has a lot of potential, but it could be a lot better if the developers paid more attention to the player base's wishes and did their best to try and add at least a portion of them. I think the attention to detail with the combat animations are great and the VAs for the most part are excellent. Its not a perfect game but its early and based on what I've seen so far I have every confidence in the Devs to make some really great content. I love it for the fact I can choose what I want to say in real time whether it makes a difference or not. It makes a difference to me. That's all that matters. My head is...complicated and I have a unique thought pattern. This game releases those for me and I play the game, get myself immersed like no other game before. I AM the game when I play. No other game can say that. I love the choices, kotorish feel, and especially voice over. Thanks BioWare I'm really looking forward to content coming like mad after f2p comes. The guy who thought it had to be that way will have to live with his bad karma. And he knows what he did. Never mind that though. I'm having a sith inquisitor at 50, next highest is a trooper at 40, the rest is below that, but I'm working on them. I, too, could need a couple more character slots, but those are coming. I made a new character on the high-capacity test server, stripped my copied characters of all their wealth (sold everything they had too) and sent all the money to him. What did I do with it? I maxed out his inventory with only a little over 4k to spare. But on my main server, Canderous Ordo, (Originally from Kathol Rift, represent!), I don't know if I'll be able to delete most of my characters. Maybe a couple, ok, maybe on that doesn't have ship yet. . . I grow attached to most of them, but not all. Been playing since Jan 19 and still loving it (though not loving all the nerfs they're planning (or at least that knockback one anyway), and am good to go until the Middle of March. There are some things I'd like, such as casino minigames, pod racing or swoop-bike racing, and especially multiplayer PVP space combat, but for now, I am loving the game and haven't even cracked into the Imperial side of things yet. I've still got more than half a game left to play... even if they never add more content (which will not be the case). Thanks to BW for a great game and many, many hours of fun.
