  1. You got it, buddy, and that's where I'll be. This is my baby doll, right here: http://robertsspaceindustries.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/300i_screen_30.jpg And I cannot friggin' wait. When I'm in the middle of a firefight and I disable the intertial compensation system so that I can hit the afterburners, spin around 180° and then fire at my opponent who's following me and blast them into juicy bits of lootable cargo and a choice weapon or two to sell (or put on one of my other ships), my experience with SWTOR will be a long gone memory. Hell, it'll be a memory the first time I can step into a pirate bar on Armitage, grab a drink, sit down at a table, and start talking with some pirate NPCs for more info on how to get to the pirate base. Poof.
  2. Oh I'm over it. And the fine folks like yourself have sealed the deal. Serious thanks to those who actually read what I was writing, and had the capacity for some kind of response that went beyond, "Screw you... Just deal with their incompetence and shut up..." your responses were appreciated.
  3. Wish I had as much time to get it all back that fast. Thank goodness you could. I'm happy for you. I guess I just no longer feel like the time is worth spending just so I can wonder when they're going to hork my armor again behind my back. If this is fun for all of you who enjoy this sort of thing, I wish you all the best. The "Gear Train Fandango" isn't my cup of tea. Again, I wish you all the best!
  4. Because I had 5 toons at level 50 range, and had only had the time to grind up to 55 with one of them? And yes, thank you, I understand it's a PVP server, that's why I rolled on it, so I had the opportunity to have some of this happen. But when I rolled on the PVP servers, I wasn't informed that I would have to deal with BioWare ganking me as well as Imperials. Do you even get what I'm upset about with this, or have you just accepted it and don't care, or are you not understanding what I'm saying? You all keep saying "You're on a PVP server" like I don't know this. I went into PVP mode and went through all of those warzones for a reason. I was obtaining WZ commendations so that I could obtain gear that helped me be more competitive not only in warzones but in those daily areas where I spent most of my PVE time, stacking up credits. Please, stop telling me I rolled on a PVP server like you're relating some giant epiphany to me. Good lord...
  5. Let's be clear, are you saying that they took the previous PVP gear that people had and retroactively went in and REMOVED the Expertise stat from them, or did they just release NEW PVP sets that you had to move up to in order to get the full Expertise benefit? Because they never took my Battlemaster Expertise out. But that's the first PVP gear I attained as I wasn't doing PVP for the first couple of months of the game. I'm okay with them releasing NEW sets that are higher than the previous ones. It's this sneaking into my armor and ganking the stat off of them to zero that incenses me. Yeah, I had that happen with the recruit gear as well... bought a complete set, then like one or two patches later, all of the sudden you get a free set. But even that I sort of understand...
  6. Here are the lists. Here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=6300857#post6300857 and Here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=6305495#post6305495 Yes, I'm being facetious. It wasn't fun. It was fun doing all of those PVP warzones to build gear up to where it at least had some kind of protection, yes. What wasn't fun was watching the developers (or management) making a decision to strip Expertise out of the armor we had worked on so that we had to once again grind up to 55 or else suffer with a zero-vs-1800 PVP-centric stat disparity. The fact that they did it because they couldn't figure out how to fix Warzones and Open World PVP at the same time just makes it all the worse, and kills my faith that they even know what they're doing. As I've said elsewhere, if they can add equations to bolster certain gear based on what armorings and mods you have, then they should have been able to add in additional computations to just strip the Expertise stat out of sub-55 warzones so that we weren't overly powerful against the other 30-54 players. In addition, they said all along that the reason for this stupid PVP gear stat in the first place was so that people couldn't just to PVE and then jump into a warzone and be competitive, and yet now they've completely botched that, and in some cases, the PVE gear was more overpowered than the PVP gear! Something is rotten in the state of Denmark...
  7. Isn't that the page they edited like a week or two ago when they realized it still exposed the fact that they'd gone back on their word? Or was that another page that listed the new species? I forget.
  8. I am indeed curious. But I am no longer a True Believer, and I no longer have the faith to keep throwing dollars at them in the hopes they'll do something. If they surprise and amaze me, I'll be back. If not, I won't have to keep puttering along believing I'm wasting time and money waiting for something that hasn't arrived.
  9. It is stupid, unless you look at it from the EA-Cartel-Coins-Rules-All viewpoint. Giving kill credit on Ilum would let people do it for free. When you make them go into warzones to get those kill credits, that means that all of the F2P players will have to do it very slowly or else.... wait for it.... buy Cartel Market unlocks to run more Warzones! Faith... broken. Cynicism... engaged.
  10. Another one joins the club. Sorry it had to come to this, but when it's time, it's time. I understand completely.. There are zero days left on my subscription. At midnight CST, I turn into a pumpkin!
  11. LOL... figures... .they can't get OWPVP to work, and the one thing... the ONE THING that might give an incentive to do it.... is disabled and won't give you credit for it. Hahaha...
  12. Take care, bud. Best wishes to you, and to all of those whose subs will be running out.
  13. Because we love self-respect just a little bit more than we love Star Wars.
  14. Yes, I do. It would have at least given SOME protection against their attacks, and I would have had at least SOME effectiveness against them. As it was, they were ripping through me nearly instantly, with their hits taking off 20-25% of my health with each attack, and I was unloading full rotations on them and they probably between 5% to 10% of their total health through the entire engagement. Yes, 1300 Expertise would have helped quite a bit more than ZERO against 1800. I'm not sure what this part is supposed to mean. I clearly said this was in the Black Hole dailies area, and didn't even mention Ilum. And I was there because I was trying to run as many dailies cycles as I could with my toons so that I could get enough credits to be able to finish installing all of the augment slots on, and transfer the rest of the armorings and mods and enhancements to my set of Shadow gear before my subscription ran out and everything became more expensive. And it doesn't matter why I was there in the first place, if you read my original comments.
  15. Read much? I'm not sure "One of the last..." counts as "THE last...", but of course, I could be mistaken. It most certainly was a PVP server. And if you follow your thoughts, they did only move servers to the same type of server, so if Fatman was moved onto Prophecy of the Five... and POT5 is a PVP server...
  16. - Nothing to minimize warzone quitters. - Phase Walk in Huttball - Stripping Expertise from existing armors as if that's legit. - The fact that a PVP-centric gear stat exists at all.
  17. Hey BioWare, Just a final parting thought before my subscription runs out... I just wanted to send heartfelt thanks for the ganking spankings I got tonight in the Black Hole area, by 55s who came in to slice and dice the prey they could find. Funny, a month or two ago, all that Elite War Hero / War Hero gear I had ground out over those months would have at least helped prevent me from getting shredded like I was wearing molded butter, but the fact that my Expertise was zero, fighting against 1700-1800 on the Imp side, well hell that was fun! Thanks much, and sweet dreams! This is Kubernetic... one of the last surviving members of The Fatman... signing off.
  18. THAT'S EVEN WORSE. But at least you're proving to people that you don't work for BioWare... or else this is a flawed attempt at using the Delphi Technique.
  19. I guess I'll shamelessly use this thread to say "Goodbye" as well, since as of tomorrow I won't be able to post any longer. I won't go over all of my reasons in this thread because I've already done so... here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=6300857#post6300857 and here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=6305495#post6305495 It's been a great ride up from the Thanksgiving betas through that Friday of Early Access Week (I purchased a little late) up until about 2 months ago when it just started to grate on me in ways I cannot overlook any longer, and 2.0 was the final straw that broke this camel's back. My most powerful vote is with my cash, so the vote is cast. To all of the awesome players and especially PVPers I've had the pleasure to run with, it's been an honor. I've known some incredible times in PVP, including that phenomenal 0-2 win in Novare Coast where it was a knock-down slugfest the entire time, and we were able to finally capture our second node back and hold it for the few seconds it took to complete the game, to the same sort of thing which occurred in that Civil War zone where we ended up winning 0-10 (after similarly recapturing our node at the end of the game), to the Hypergates map where we were down several hundred points after several rubes quit early, capturing both nodes twice in a row and winning the game. I'd like to send out a special thanks to Wraiven, and their cohorts who organized a number of the open world PVP events on Fatman and Prophecy of the Five, that really livened up the game. Your work was awesome, and those events will always be memorable treasures of my time in this game. I'd like to thank everyone who came out to my Star Wars Day party last year on May the Fourth, and humbly apologize for just not having the interest to reprise the event this year. The magic was gone, and I was nowhere near interested enough to grind out the credits for prizes and party favors, and that saddens me. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=445015 Maybe if the developers can make good on some promises and bring the magic back, especially with a sweet little space combat PVP package to whet the appetite, maybe May the Fourth next year will see the party I really wanted to throw to beat out the first. Maybe being on Free-to-Play and not being so angry at paying for something that isn't providing enough enjoyment in return will let me enjoy the game that does exist a little more. We'll see starting tomorrow I suppose. I'll still pop in for a few warzones from time to time just to get a pew-pew or veowmp-womp (that's my lightsaber, lol) fix. To the Devs that provided all that we have, I thank you. To the management that allowed things to get like this, I expect more from you in the future, and I'm ready to throw my money at you again when the time comes. And to all of the players that helped make the game so exciting, I cannot thank all of you enough. Cheers to all, and May The Force Be With You! This is Kubernetic... one of the last remaining survivors of The Fatman... signing off.
  20. You really should finish it out. It gets better after Hoth... much better if I recall. And by the time you finish Corellia, it's just awesome. I agree with many other thoughts here, especially Jaxo and M1-4X. 4X is an awesome story line.
  21. Can't you just drag the items off of your inventory out into the open world and dispose of them by throwing them away? I haven't tried this with any of the unsellable items, so I'm just curious.
  22. • If you want the easiest and most fun and gun experience, go with the Gunslinger. • If you want a challenge and a real test of your abilities, go with the Scoundrel. This is especially true when playing either as DPS. Although Scoundrel Scrapper is a lot of fun (I love watching people eat turf when I hit them with Shoot First out of stealth), since you're a Scoundrel, most opposing teams in Warzones (if you PVP) will automatically mark you as a healer, which means you'll be focused down repeatedly, and have to constantly use defensive cooldowns and evasive maneuvers to stay alive. Since the Gunslinger doesn't have this problem, you get a lot more freedom to move about the map and plop down behind the shield and just wail away at people from a distance. The immunity against pulls and leaps is also quite yummy.
  23. Totally agree. Trooper was the first story I completed and I loved every minute of it, right up through the final moments.
  24. If Cathar had tails, then they'd be Catians, and not Cathar. Right?
