STOP saying early acess is a "gift"

"Up to 5 days early."

What part of that wasn't clear? It's still 7 days to launch, FFS.

EDIT: Ironically, anyone who gets in on the 13th and 14th DID receive a gift, most likely, as at the time they placed the order, they expected to play 5 days early, not 7.

*yawn* Again, reasons why we can never get anything nice.

I bought the game so I.....could play the game. Did i miss something? I see no extra charges for 'Early Game Access'. Just another upset person because they aren't "special" enough to get in early it seems.

You paid extra money?

I paid the price of the game. And was only charged five dollars until the 20th.

.

No you did not.

You paid those 5 dollars specifically for early access. The game you bought costs 5 bucks less than you paid.

I can understand people getting pissed, since 5 euro for the full early access are a good thing. 5 euro for 2 days seems like a rip off.

We PAID extra money for it.. It is the reason we pre-ordered, it is NOT a bonus, it is NOT a gift, wake up fanboys we all got screwed over

A. I already made my characters in the game...u jelly?

B. You did not pay extra money for early access - if you did you got scammed from the retailer you bought it from - if you say Origin you are a troll.

You didn't pay extra unless you paid for DDE or CE which you DID NOT have to purchase to get early access. You could have had early access with the standard edition.

You just paid early, scrub.

Let's all be serious now, alright?

First, the official pre-order EGA started on the 15th, they added 2 days for who knows what reason but possibly for the sake of giving people more play time.

Now, is it the 15th? No.

Was anyone from August - Dec pre-order going to get in on the 15th? Of course not, we all knew that, and the posts here used to be very specific about that. The 16th? Even less likely. The 17th, 18th, and 19th were the primary plans for those people from our words.

So now, they are allowing people on for the 13th and 14th, does this favor the earliest pre-orders? Yes it does. Is it wrong? Well, it gives you the potential opportunity for more than just 2 or 3 days of game access but instead 4 or 5.

So yeah, let's all rage.

---

Also a pre-order is so you can have the game ready for you when it releases, else it might be sold out.

Whats up with the yellow text? You trying to be cool like a dev?

early acess is a "gift"

I don't agree with the OP on everything, but early access was advertised as a benefit of pre-order. Therefore it was an incentive to pre-order, not an after-thought of "oh you preordered? Here's some early access..."

What black market dealer did you pay extra for early access? Sucks to be you I guess.

Oh, by the way the game is released on the 20th. that's what you paid for. Early access is a perk.

GL bro!

Early access cost 5 euro/dollar.

"Black market dealers" like the one you bought from (amazon, origin, whatever) should have told you that.

the moment that they made the statement that by pre-ordering the game you would receive early access you are ENTITLED to early access.

early access is the #1 reason that a majority of players pre-order games of this nature.

Wait untill the 15th. Then you can worry about pre-order. When you did pay you were told up to 5 days, not 7 days.

I have a theory that the 2 days ealry thing is to push out the first massive pre-order's to allow for more people to be given pre-order access.

Have some faith, you will get in. You are correct about it not being a gift, but these first two days are kind of extra.

some people need to learn how to read AND comprehend what they are reading.

I don't know about you but I paid a deposit of 5 euro to reserve a copy of the digital deluxe edition with pre-order bonus items and got the possibility of up to 5 days early game access as a gift, now it's the possibility of up to 7 days, I'd call that a gift.

a gift is free. I's sorry but in the world of advertisement and commercialism early access was sold as part of the purchase agreement. Yes the stipulation advertised by Bioware was at least up to 1 day before launch however we did pay for it so its not a gift.

On the other side of the coin while i feel terrible that i can't play atm i know eventually i will be able to. But that doesn't slight the fact that im mad cause this process seems to be taking way to long. In fact all the planning and experience bio-ware has on hand could have been used to better devise a launch plan that would have made everyone happy.

As it stands now some guild members wont even be able to play with there friends becuase of mismanaged launch practice. And frankly if you cant play a MMO with your friends whats the point of playing the MMO. I forsee many upset players over this disaster and many will exercise their rights as a consumer.

in the beginning it was 5 days and now seven so they still have 2 days to invite him to the game:)

gift

Noun:

A thing given willingly to someone without payment; a present: "a gift shop".

EGA fits the definition of "gift" perfectly. BW is willingly giving out free access to THEIR game without need for payment. If you preordered you have to set up your account on the 20th, but you still get a month free.

My problem is that my physcial copy probalby won't arrive until after th 20th (even though I ordered the "Arrives same day as launch" option from Amazon.

It's Christmas, anything shipping is going to be late. I just hate that I'll have some Early Access, then be cut off for a day or two while waiting for my physical copy to arrive.

Collector's Editions weren't available for download, so I feel like I'm being punished for spending an extra hundred bucks.

Hey, cool kid, the entire premise of preordering before they were used as massive marketing tools was to reserve your copy in case it was sold out. It doesn't matter if they won't grt sold out realistically. It doesnt change the purpose of preordering.
